Yeah, I know I am pretty accurate in my calories and even if I was eating an extra 200 a day and exercising I still would lose, just not much at a time. So, I know it would be nearly impossible to gain a half a pound over the course of a day, because that would mean I would have to eat like an extra 1750 calories on top of the 1550 that it would take for me to maintain.

Thanks for the encouragement :) It is awesome people that leave me support that keep me going!
 
So today me and RJ went out and I put on some pants that I could NOT button just 2 weeks ago and guess what!? I put them on and they fit! They were even a tiny bit loose around the waist, I could button them without sucking in with all of my might! And the legs of all of my pants are now getting loose, yay! I flexed my leg the other night and told RJ to feel and tell me if they are tighter and he felt them and was like "Oh my gosh, they are WAY more toned, I didn't expect that!" :-D Happy Days! I was waiting for the moment when my clothes would show me my hard work is paying off!

EDIT:

OMFG! Remember those pictures that are less than flattering of me trying to get my big butt into some pants!? Well there was NO WAY IN HELL I was able to button those pants even 4 days ago and just now I tried them on and THEY BUTTON! Yes, my fat belly hangs over and my love handles are less then appealing and I still have about 5 pounds to lose before they are able to be worn in public but, this is a HUGE milestone!!!!

Wow shawnnam, those pictures are totally impressive, because while
the scales can't sometimes show real progress, due to water fluctuations, etc
clothes are totally objective.

Congratulations on those results, and you are definitely moving in the
right direction, so those 5 pounds, when you can where these jeans
in public will obvioulsy happen in the nearest future.

I've been comtemplating on buying a goal weight pair of designer jeans. I know if I spend the money I better sure as heck work my butt off (not literally because I LOVE my butt!!) to get into them!

My goal weight is around the same as yours and my starting weight is about 10-15 pounds more than where you started at 170.

Congrats on the loss so far and keep it up!! Good work :)

I was very excited, I have been trying them on everyday for the past week and they could not button until last night, I was very shocked. Yes, they are VERY tight, but that is okay because it is easier to get things to fit properly more so then actually getting them to button and zip!

Haha, I have a pair of size 7's I have never worn and I told myself I will fit into them one day. I am not going to try them on yet because I know they wont even get past my thighs, haha, but once the pants I just got into are loose I will see about trying my other ones on and seeing how long it takes to button them! :)
 
AHHH... Damn you macapuno!!!

So this morning I was really good on my food and calories. I decided I really wanted Asian snack food and I had 770 calories left for the day so I figured if I have the junk food then I am done for the day.

So I go to Manila Hong Kong, an Asian market near to me. I get a plate of puto (does not mean what puto means in Spanish, haha), and a tray of marmon macapuno (Filipino steamed coconut sponge cake), and a box of panda cookies. The only stuff that has calories on it is the box of panda cookies.... 80 calories for 4 cookies, fine I mark that off and eat only 4 of the 16 TINY chocolate filled cookies, then I eat 1 macapuno then it is SO GOOD I eat just one more, I figured well hey if they are 300 calories about each then I am still good, and then I get home and eat 1 puto cake. So I look online and like a 43g macapuno has 122 calories.... well the 2 I just ate were 4 oz EACH... That is 113g EACH! GAAAAHHHH lmao. That is like 800 calories for those then 80 calories for the cookies and probably another 130 calories for the other cake! EKKK that means I just ate about 1000 calories worth in like 5 minutes lmao

So needless to say I am about 240 calories over for the day, which means I am staying at the gym probably an extra 5 minutes... not a whole lot longer but it will help burn a few more calories.

Anyway, this is a lesson STAY AWAY FROM ASIAN MARKET GOODIES.... TOO MANY GOOD THINGS WITH TOO MANY CALORIES!

I am not going to be down on myself about this, I mean I have been really great with my exercise and food for more than 2 weeks straight and I think I can handle going over my calories one time in almost 3 weeks :) Tomorrow will be a better day.
 
You are sooo diligent! You deserve the Nobel Piece of Cake Prize!

I think you did great for only going over 250ish calories. (We don't have asian markets up here....Eskimo markets maybe but no good Asian stuff.) So well done!

So I just got home from the gym ended up staying an extra 25 minutes so 90 minutes in all and burned 1,152 calories :-D More than makes up for the junk I ate earlier... hopefully the scale shows a smaller number and not a larger one in the morning :)

Anyway, I am pooped from the extra effort at the gym. I am going to go shower and go to bed haha
 
Shawnnam, you are truly a gym monster!! I wish I could last that long and burn that many calories!

Its amazing isn't it how many hidden calories there are in food that before you wouldn't think twice about scoffing lots of?! I'm trying to go along the lines of "if I don't know what's in it, not gonna eat it" but its tough changing the habits of a lifetime.
 
Arg... only .2 pounds down after the past 4 days!? I want to say impossible but I guess the scales don't lie. Oh well, a loss is a loss and if I were to lose .2 pounds every 4 days I would eventually hit my goal.

Time to reevaluate my calorie consumption because something isn't adding up!
 
Maybe the reason you're not seeing huge losses could be that your actually gaining some muscle from working out so much? I know I've seen major differences in my body even though the scale hasn't moved, at times. Plus, with natural fluctuations and all that..it's really hard to judge weightloss on such a short time scale! So don't let it get you too down. :)

Yeah, well it has been high for the past 3 days from excess sodium but maybe I am still retaining some water. I am not too upset, I decided a few days ago, even if I don't meat my goals when I want to I will eventually and I will not give up until I do, weather it takes 3 months or 23 months, I will get there eventually! I am fortunate that I am 20 so I still have so much of my life to live and the months I will put towards losing weight is such a small amount of time in the huge scheme of things. :) Thanks for the pick me up though!



Anyway, I just ate breakfast and decided to try the new breakfast things at Subway... I used to go to McDonalds every morning for an egg McMuffin- egg and cheese only.... that is 360 calories! So subway now has the same thing on a whole wheat english muffin, egg whites, cheese (i picked swiss), and your choice of steak, turkey, or ham (I picked ham)... it was really tasty (I was surprised) and it only had 170 calories! :) Good deal! I have enough left over calories for breakfast that I will probably have 8 oz V8 veggie juice to get my vegetable's for the day in. If you guys are looking for a quick breakfast but don't want to mess up your calories just stop by subway and try one! (I sound like a spokes person, too bad I am not the next 'Jared' haha).

So, I don't think I am going to weigh in until Thursday, had a lot of sodium today and didn't work out :/ Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and I WILL be working out! :-D

Also, OMG just got done watching the biggest loser.... Holy shiz Michael lost 264 pounds!!! Like 50% of his body weight! I am really disappointed that he won because I wanted Ashley to win, but good job to both of them, they both deserve it!

I've never watched the Biggest Loser, but that's pretty cool that the guy lost so much weight...hopefully he'll be able to keep it off, too!
Oh, and thanks for the Subway breakfast sandwich recommendation! I don't eat out hardly ever, but it's good to know some options for when I am away from home.
 
I have been good on eating today. I really wanted a chocolate milkshake and looked up the calories... a whopping 580! I was about to do it and decided I would get some better ice cream (calorie wise) at the store. Got a pack of skinny cow ice cream sandwiches only 140 calories :) Happy i made a much better choice!

Oh dear! Ha..I'm not going to be able to use those. I'd laugh the whole time. :) I have a link to videos in my diary that I was doing before, if you wanted to check them out. Thanks for all the comments & help with my posts by the way.
