In 4th grade I wanted to get the presidential award for gym but only got the national award. Ever since then I have been hooked + exercise keeps me from being bored all the time now that I home school.

played varsity football in HS then when i started wrestling my coach cooked up a deal with a local athletic trainer-w/CSCS for free so i took advantage of it and ended up competing for team Alaska doing Olympic style lifts(best time of my life)eventually he would write the workouts up for people an hand them to me to train then i just started partying and f-n off(for 10 yrs)developed a cyst on a nerve in my sub-scapular notch(lost all external rotation)had that cut and ended up herniating a disk and being unable to walk for six months(pinched S1 lost right leg function) did some pt and got 3 epiderals which helped but i was still partying(i know how stupid that was) so i never really fully recovered then last year i dislocated my knee and went under the knife only to dislocate it again 2 weeks after surgery so i had another surgery, meniscus was wrapped up behind my acl so i had a partial minisectomy and 8 mo of pt(by the way the reason my knee popped out was because of sciatic weakening the bicep femoris causing lateral instability when kneeling)during pt i was on workmans comp so i couldn't work and just decided to get certified to do what i really love to do and hopefully help others to prevent or work through some of the problems i have faced (back shoulders knee hip ankle neck)now i am in the process of starting my own business Alaska Fitness Solutions, i can't wait till i am up and running
-by the way i am going to do a triathlon sprint next June so after reading this you can understand how important that it is to me to be able to swim(shoulder-still weak but i will persevere)bike(knee-currently doing two 44 mi rides per week)running(back-i was glad just to be walking) the best i can hope for is to inspire anyone who thinks they are injured beyond recovery(physically and emotionally) that where there is a will there IS a way

This is an interesting question. At 5'10" tall and 100lbs I was tired of constantly getting my A$$ kicked and my lunch money stolen. (yea, that really happens) So I decided to "get huge"

I did, Played football & OL all through high school. Spent all that time picking on the kids that used to pick on me. (it's funny. nobody cares if you pick on the "cool" kids)

In the mean time, I was good at lifting. Set the state C&J record at 15 years old. (it was the teen record)

I graduated from high school at 190lbs. (for the record, even then I thought that was not that big) I was pretty much over the whole "anger" phase, liked training, and, pretty much been doin' it ever since.

I left out all the boring stuff.

I like to hear these kinds of stories. The picking on the cool kids stories.

Btw, I had no idea that people actually stole lunch money. I thought it was one of those disney show things you know?
