Scarlett's Diary - Tomorrow is another day

Hey Scarlett,
Just popping in to say hi :)
As for dusty shoes - I have a closet full of them - I apparently never resigned myself that my feet GREW after being pregnant.

That's a good 10 years of denial ;)

Hi everyone, good to see you all. And hello Spectra thank for stopping by....wow 90 pounds!!!!! That is amazing, you are like a weight loss superhero!!! You look great!!!

Yesterday I was so slammed at the office and last night lightning struck a transformer across the street. Which blew a bunch of circuit breakers in our house, plus blew up our modem and router. Hubby just got both replaced so I'm finally back on line but now behind on my job stuff. So got to get caught up with that and then hope to catch up with everyone.

Still a little blah feeling today....same weight as I was at the start of the challenge. Yuk!!!!

Hey Sister, sorry to hear about all that which went down last night! That doesn't sound too fun. Glad to hear all is back up now...good luck catching up on your job!

I too am the same weight as I started the challenge. Let's kick it into high gear and really work through this. After all, we are the Saucy Sisters and we have a challenge to kick butt at! :)

Hope your day is well!

Hey girls, yeah, not a very saucy start to the challenge. But that's okay....I always like the big dramatic finish!!! LOL!!!!! Thanks for stopping by maleficent and avajayne!!! Hugs to you both!

Hi there and Hugs Scarlett,

Sorry it's been awhile since I have visited you, things have been kinda hectic around the house here. I am glad that your PC is up and running. We just had a power outage here. Some dink ran into a utility pole at 3am and we did not get power back on until 12:30. DO not feel bad that you have not lost any weight yet, sometimes it takes a little time. I am sure your doing great hun and I hope all is well with you, take care and hugs.

Oh, my dh just spent who knows how much on some sort of electrical back up for all the computers - it's supposed to supply power to the computers in the event of a black out so as to not fry the equipment.

He tells me it's an *investment*

OK - I'll have to believe him ;)

I'm glad you're back online!

And Scarlett, those pounds will drop in no time, there's always that bit of leveling off period in between down falls :D

Gah I know how you feel regarding levelling off Scarlett, I've just had that problem myself. Try something different to shock yourself into loosing again, that worked for me!:D

Hey Scarlett~ Don't feel bad that you did not loose any weight yet, at least you did not gain. the same thing happened to me on the last challenge, but now I am finally starting to see some pounds come off. That is why I think the challenge should be longer than 2 weeks.

Try to do a different exercise. That works for me. Your body gets use to the same exercise and sometimes it needs a little kick. Is like when you have a headache and you keep taking tylenol, after taking it for awhile it does not provide the same effect.

LOL tell your husband to get a surge protector bar! They're like ten bucks! Okay so they won't keep power going to your computer and such, but it still protects from power surges which is the part of a black out that actually causes frying.

Anyways Scarlett, you've gotten a lot of great advice to get over your plateau, so make good use of it all and get to it! Chop chop! :p

Hey Scarlett!!
I'm baaaaaccckkkk! :D
Looks like it's an epidemic of plateau's for the Saucy Sisterhood!! We'll just have to "Kick it up a notch" BAM!!

Scarlett. Glad your computer is working again. You are doing great there girl. You look totally incredible and probably feel that way too. ;) Anyways, your plateau is just that. You will overcome it and carry on to make your goal weight. You can will do it. Have a good one. :D

Scarlett do you do much weight taining or do you mostly do cardio? I know that when you make your muscles stronger they become more efficient which gives the metabolism more of a boost. (You probably already know this) That could help you get past your plateau. There should be a thread dedicated to those who have reached a plateau. Then people can share what really worked for them because not everyone can get to everyones journal.

Hi everyone, and thanks for all the encouragement and good advice regarding plateaus. I've really just been in a funk...it doesn't help that we've got really bad ants in the kitchen from the scorching heat and I DO NOT want to prepare food in the kitchen until they are gone. We've done every treatment known to man and they just keep coming. So I've been reduced to eating what I can just grab and therefore have been eating a little more starchy foods than I usually do. Plus last night I had pizza

So it has not been a good week. But I'm still drinking my water, doing my treadmill, eating fruits and veggies. Just plodding along.

And jennifuffa, I had been doing some handweight stuff but I had stopped because I wanted to wait to lose some more fat before I started seriously aiming for toning. But I do miles and miles on the treadmill so I think my legs have gotten pretty muscley. Is that even a word? LOL!!!

Scarlett................................Bad girl...Pizza.............   Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I'm jealous now....I haven't had pizza in so long...:( I want pizza.........waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....I'm sure that pizza for one meal is not going to make you gain 10 lbs overnight. You are doing awesome anyways and a small slice of pizza once in a while is definately a good treat. :D

Hi there!!!! I'm back! WOW you have been doing incredible while I've been away! Keep up the good work...I doing my happy dance for ya!!!!
