Nightrunner, yay for C25k week four. So proud of you. I am waaaaay behind. Gonna start again this week. Hopefully will catch up soon.

You are doing really well with workouts and eating healthy. Will read through the post I have missed this past week. Hope school's going well.

Thanks splish and juni-im slowly feeling like i cant keep up though. Right now c25k is the only thing thats making me feel like im semi hanging on. Yesterday was a disaster! eating was good up until lunch, after that it went downhill-leftover birthday cake, cheesecake, ice cream, rice and more rice *sigh* really im suprised i didnt make myself sick with all the sugar i had.

Anyway its a new day and of course i feel bloated as hell but im going to get a workout in right now before classes and i WILL fix my eating. the weekend is over now. its history-two bad days will not mess up the next 5 days. weigh in is friday so i need to eat well.

so my cold is here to stay it looks like-im all stuffed up and sneezing like crazy...needless to say im not impressed

well hope you all had a better weekend than i did....i will check in with you all soon

I had a bad eating night last night too and feel ugh today. What is with the weekend that makes us want to eat bad? I feel like I have a food hangover.
I think I'm getting a cold too :( Good for you for getting right back to the gym - it's very motivating. I'm going to go drink some green tea and hopefully flush the bad day away and start today right.

mmm i love green tea-especially when the weather is cold and wet like it is today...hope your cold goes away cg

so im online now doing a bunch of readings for clas and its really hard to get serious about studying-so im using this forum as motivation-i will come on here for 15 mins each time i get a reading complete :D

so far its working...lets see for how long :p

i didnt do much workout wise this morning-20 mins of cardio- but it is making me feel like im back on track so thats a plus

ill update my menu at the end of the day so i dont end up having another crazy day like yesterday.

every little bit counts, every little bit counts - must stop popping food into my mouth at random....i will repeat this mantra to myself ...every little bit counts...

snack-10 almonds
lunch-garden salad, apple, falvoured protein water
snack-10 almonds
snack 2-honey mixed with hemp and flax not as filling as with yogurt but it will have to do

Veggies are great for mindless eating.

What is it that you're studying in school?

Hieee Nightrunner,

You are using WLF as a reward for reading for 15 mins. That sounds like fun. I wish I could have done that when I was working last week. If I took a break and came to the forum, I would not leave. I would read each and every diary, comment, start new threads. I am terrible. But what a good way to reward yourself!! And it worked!! yay!

I agree with core elements- veggies are amazing for fabulous eating. Dip them in hummus, or have them with a little bit of homemade yogurt. Yum!!

omg-lol you are so right!! sometimes i feel like such a air head-the most obvious things totally fly right over my head-thanks!

Im doing child studies. It's my last year *yay* but im also kind of nervous because i've been so focused on finishing that now that its looming closer im kind of unsure of what to do next. ive been thinking of grad school for quite a while because i really want to be a child researcher but i need a plan b if that doesnt pan out...

lol yeeah juni its been working but the 15 mins today have streched to 45 mins ...oops. you're right though it IS hard to just "pop in" and not be tempted to reply to a bunch of threads. Anyway this will be my last post-ill be back later on today no doubt though:D

im a little sad since i cant have yogurt throughtout the day :( im thinking of buying one of those insulated lunch bags to keep the yogurt from going bad...

anyway c25k this morning was a bit challenging-it was really humid so i dont know if that had anything to do with it. Anyway during the last running interval i stopped half way through...if the same thing happens on thursday then ill repeat this week...

ill be back soon:seeya:

Looks like you are back on track today too! Good work.
I had that feeling when I was finishing school too but as soon as I was done it was so great to not think about going back to school - kudos to you for wanting to go to grad school. I couldn't imagine studying and writing tests again. Stresses me out just thinking about it. I'll stick to my computer job.
Keep it up! Let's finish the week strong!

:D :D :D done sumamrizing one chapter-but to be fair its a continuation from last night...

Kara, I'm at school from 10am to 6pm on average or 10pm if we have team projects to work on (also i commute with my brother and his classes run in the morning while mine are in the evening or late afternoon)
Anyway since the yogurt is homemade i dont know how long i can keep it out of the fridge without it spoiling hence choosing not to have any-unless i buy on of those insulated lunch bags-ill have to see how much they sell for...

yeah yeah Brandy (ok if i call you that?-i saw it somewhere in another thread) we are having a great week so far and WILL KEEP IT UP!

Ah ... I see. Ok. Honestly I've kept yogurt out of the fridge for up to 8 hours and still eaten it. It doesn't go bad that fast. It gets a little runny, but you just stir it up and it's good to go.

Remember you let it ferment at high heat for a while - it's used to the temps! :)

lol yeah i wondered at that...
8 hrs sounds about right for me-so yay adding yogurt back in!
_______

I dont have much to report other than todays menu...im going to go ahead and write everything in since i will be here until 10ish again today-not likely that ill go home an eat, though its happened in the past...

being here late certainly helps with mindless eating since there isnt anything for me to eat - im not carrying any cash with me so im not tempted to buy anything. the temptation is pretty huge...there is a coffee shop INSIDE the library but using a debit card costs extra on top of the purchase so its not worth it.

so anyway todays menu
breakfast 2 boiled eggs and a slice of cheesecake :)blush5:) the cake is almost done thoough so good bye temptation
snack-10 almonds
lunch-salad, apple, baked fish crackers
snack-honey with hemp and flax
snack-10 almonds
supper-pb sandwich

im starting to worry that im not getting enough calories in and that ill get bored of eating this day in and day out...any ideas for something quick and easy to pack for lunch?

...why is this all of a sudden a dilemma anyway? what did i do last year?!

Hey maybe just add some protein to your lunch... like grilled chix or some tuna in your salad. Soup is easy to pack if you have a microwave available at lunch. Actually that's about all the lunch suggestions I have... hopefully more people give you suggestions and I can use them too haha.

Ps. Looks like you are doing fantastic... for a halloWEINER. haha ;) seriously your food looks awesome and way to say on tract... very motivating!

I sometimes add a little bit of tasty cheese, or some olives to my salad. It adds a little bit of salty savoury taste, and i enjoy it a bit more.

Well done for not taking cash to the library (I can't believe there is a coffee shop in the library, things have changed since my day, i must be getting old haha). I have to not take cash to work otherwise it just goes in the vending machine.

thanks for your suggestions Splish and Ana

just popping in to say hi :) im running a bit late this morning-missed going to the gym this morning but will go tonight for a body pump session

still at 154 :( not happy about that at all *FRUSTRATION*

whatever i dont really have the energy to let it bother me-too many other things going on right now with school to worry about

ill be back soon to check in with everyone's journal...

:seeya:Hi Nightrunner, just poping in to say hi.
Looks like you are doing great - don't stress about the number on the scale - next week it will be down if you keep it up!
I don't really have too many ideas about packing lunches - I also put lots of stuff in my salads so they don't get boring - chick peas, black olives, craisins, shredded carrot, snow peas, corn, tuna, left over chicken, or hard boiled egg whites - I throw the yolk out because I don't really like it and the whites are better for you. Or I like sandwiches with ff deli meat, tuna or salmon - cut up some yum, yums or green olives and mix with light mayo and fish.
I've been really liking these all bran buds pouch's that are only 70cals and I have one with yogurt and it really gets things moving and keeps me regular :) There are tons of thinsations 100cal packs out there now that you can get for a small snack.
Dill pickles are really healthy too and I like to bring those - I just made 18 jars and am waiting for them to be ready - I can't wait!
If I think of anything else I will let you know - oh coleslaw is good too and very filling.
Anyway have a great weekend and I'll check back on Monday! Cheers!

That is so me re: scales not moving down. It is quite frustrating.

We have to have the weigh-ins done for the halloween challenge, but otherwise i a sticking to measurements (as suggested by core elements suggested on my journal). The only problem is, I think I am not doing it the right way, but I am sure it is quite easy to figure out and I just haven't been able to.

TGIF, eh?

I have a loong weekend off, so gonna be checking in more frequently.

Don't worry about the scales, nightrunner. You are so disciplined and are doing really well. I am sure you feel like a million bucks otherwise so screw the scales (easier said than done, I know, but I am trying really hard to believe it too- lets motivate each other, k?)

Hugs,
Juni
