Scared out of my mind

Hi nightrunner, just popping in to say hi.
Hope your weight loss is on plan with the challenges and stress of school starting. After a couple weeks you will be in a good routine. Looking forward to reading more of your journal.:waving:

Aren't seed's (pumpkin, sesame) cheaper than almonds? Maybe you could buy a little bit of both? Pumpkin seeds (unsalted) are great too. Watch out for the serving size of almonds - they add up quite a bit in calories and it's so easy to overconsume.

Yeah!! And i love both –especially the sesame snaps... Thanks for the heads up with the almonds. I think ill count out 20 to have throughout the day with fruit...10 is around 100 cals no?

Thanks Ana-schools going alright so far...lol i only had one class yesterday so i worked all morning at the centre. Today im working again because i only have seminars today and they don’t begin until next week! Talk about an easy transition into school :p

Thanks for stopping by girl-and enjoy ur weekend everyone!

yesterday was alright eating wise-didnt get a workout in though. bummer

so breakfast-banana nut muffin
lunch-pasta and meat sauce
snack-yogurt and mango peach jam
supper-10 almonds, garden salad

today is suppose to be my weigh in day, but i feel kind of heavy so i think im going to try an resist weighing in-i had weighed myself a couple of days ago and i was 2 lbs less! but then i binged on nutella...at night!! ARGH!

I read that eating at night isnt such a bad thing, but with me i tend to over eat if i start eating past 8 or 9. Its like i get in my head that now that ive eaten, ill stay up later so that im not eating and sleeping right away. But then i end up eating more and falling asleep on time anyway because im so uncomfortably full...!

im happy to say that ive semi-bounced back though since thurs and fri was alright, but i still feel like im a bit bloated...i should probably stop eating pasta so frequently

woot! back from step class today! it was really neat we used two steps perpendicular to each other-boatloads of fun!!

tomorrow is week 3 of c25k! -kind of nervous but i think i can do it...i think i can i think i can i think i can..lol :p

anyway so far for breakfast-10 almonds, glass of milk
lunch will be a homemade pizza mmmm-its been too long since ive had pizza
then for a snack im going to make Kara's yogurt fruit salad....should be yummy!
dinner will be a tuna salad

ill be back soon :)

*happy dance*
so this morning before going to the gym i did my measurements (i havent measured myself at all since starting back in the end of july) and so far ive lost a total of 6 inches! So i worked up the courage to weigh myself and im down 2lbs! I reeeeally hope i dont go back up to 155....really really.

Hey nightrunner,

you are doing SO WELL!!! Good news on the measurements and the 2lbs lost. Thats so cool....

Can you believe you're at W3 of the C25k. :hurray:

maybe that Nutella stuff is a secret weight loss food lol...

Ana

Thanks Ana! :) hahaha if only Nutella can help with weight loss…actually I don’t think I would be in this predicament if that were the case!

Weeks 3 went well today. I almost didn’t go though. I did some circuit before my step class yesterday so waking up this morning was a bit of a struggle. I stayed in bed until maybe about 12-then a friend called and asked me to go over to her place at 2-so I figured if I didn’t go running before 2 I wouldn’t get to run at all. So thankfully its over and done with. Funny how I'm not looking forward to my runs anymore like I used to-or it could be just that I'm feeling blah today-TOM is coming up next week. Crappy deal

I think TOM is creeping up on me too! I'm having a real fat day feeling bloated, I'm really having to puxh myself to get to the gym. Blah

Circuit and step class sounds hard. Your legs must have been burning! Well done for getting out for the run.

A

Hey! Congrats on the inches lost :) All this nutella talk... I love that stuff. The nutella website claims that it is close to the recommended breakfast nutrition guidelines haha. And moderation is not possible for me w/ nutella.... Anyway it looks like you are doing really well. It's awesome that you are moving along in the c25k program. Workouts are so much easier when you have a goal and/or set plan. Lets have a gooood week :)

You're right about c25k being a good plan to help me stay on track splish. I havent been to the gym for three days now, and if it wasnt for c25k i doubt that id be able to get a workout in.

Ana, i think the fatigue is finally catching up with me. I was fine saturday and sunday, but monday i didnt wake up in time to make it to the gym before class and this morning waking up was really challenging. I woke up at 7:15 planning to go for my run so id be back in time for a leisurly shower and perhaps get my notes printed off for class. I ended up going on the computer and checking email then going back to bed. I literally lay there for 30 mins talking myself into getting up and running. I'm giving myself a break about going to the gym until i get settled with the school routine, but im not letting c25k slip. I know if i do it will go downhill from there and it will be hard to build up a workout momentum again. Thats just the way i am. Anyway thankfully i did day 2 this morning but i feel so worn out and its only 10am. i didnt go to the gym yesterday so i dont know why i feel so lethargic. anyway, i just hope im not getting sick-my throat is kind of sore, but im planning on drinking lots of herbal tea to keep any cold/flu at bay. getting sick now would be really shitty

So eating has been pretty bad for the past two days. chips and breads galore. i thought i would be better prepared this time around with TOM but i guess not. I'm going to make an effort to lock myself in my room today after classes. MUST STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN! *sigh*

anyway sorry for the rant everyone. hopefully the rest of the week will go by without all the drama

woot! success

today breakfast-boiled egg
snack-10 almonds
lunch-garden salad, sage tea with mint
snack-yogurt, hemp and flax
dinner-homemade burger, watermelon

Hey nightrunner, You sound like I feel... We have to make sure we get the right amount of rest eh?

Sounds like you've got alot going on. Good idea to give yourself a break from the gym and just focus on the c25k. I'm sure you'll settle into a routine soon. (although from what I remember of uni it was just work work work all day long)

Have a fun day

Ana

Hey, I know what you are saying about getting back into a routine & getting back to school life. It is difficult! But I think the trick is to stay positive and don't overwork yourself but don't give in all together. Set a schedule (make it do-able) and stick to it. Your food today looks awesome! Congrats on not letting the stress/ busy schedule get to you :)

Hi Jae0 :) hope you enjoyed your burger !

Thanks for your continuous encouragement Ana and Splish. So yesterday was another day off but i finished week 3 today, so im not too upset. Also i was curious and weighed myself today even though official weigh in day is not until saturday and i was up to 154 (+1). I must say i was pretty happy considering id had a few less than good eating days AND its the lovely TOM. I hope that that will keep me motivated to eat right until TOM is over. Then hopefully the scale will do down some.

Like you Ana though im starting to use my clothes as indicators for progress. I have a jean skirt that i rarely wear b/c it doesnt have a slit and my thighs are too fat for me to walk in it without taking teeny tiny strides. Anyway i wore it and felt pretty darn comfortable in it :hurray:

I think im going to try on those workout pants i had bought last month....after TOM ends :p

Getting into those clothes is the best reward! I've been wearing my jeans for the last 2 days even though the weather wasn't the greatest for them.

My scales have gone up and up as well. Must be about to get TOM too. Hopefully they'll drop down again next week.

I can't believe it already the weekend again, what with all the exercise and work the time is flying by.

Are you doing the Halloween challenge?

Ana

:hurray: Great job!

I also find taking pictures really helps. And it's amazing the progress you can see in how your body shape changes.

WOOOT! Ana thanks so much for reminding me about the Halloween Challenge! I've been reading about it on everyone's threads but i never found the chance to check it out. Thankfully i made it in time :D

I'm really excited to be a part of the challenge because its going to continue through midterm time so it will be a good incentive to keep me on track. Also it will help me get beyond my lowest weight of 144!!! im totally dancing on the inside -sooooo exicted!!!!!!!

So anyway i managed to get to the gym this morning for some circuit and cardio.

yesterday's menu

breakfast-banana nut muffin

snack-almonds

lunch-tuna sandwich with 1 whole wheat pita

snack-banana, pistacio filled cookie

dinner-salad, phylo pastry layered with ground beef (called gollash) and damn delicious!! even if its not the healthiet thing! green tea w/ honey and lemon (im determined to fight this cold before it becomes full blown!)

[edit] sweeeet! i just realized that if i stay on track with c25k ill be done week 9 on oct 30th - thats with the halloween challenge!

:iagree: i took a picture of myself when i was around 160-165 (because i couldnt stand to take a picture of myself at 170-my highest weight). Anyway I keep looking at the picture and myself now, and it's kind of surprising. When i look in the mirror now i dont feel like there has been a noticable difference, but when i look at the picture im totally like-whaaat?!! ive come a long way!

i cant wait to see what ill look like when i reach 135 :jump:

Go the Hallo weiners!!!!!

Hey night runner.. good news on the halloween challenge. I decided to have a cheat meal yesterday, and today I'm really motivated to get going.

You are doing so well on your weight loss. Its awesome and inspiring.

Catch ya later
