SaturdaySaint! Part 3, This time...it's personal!

Third times a charm eh? So... I've been slackin people. Well...technically not slacking. Just not as hardcore as I used to be. I've been maintaining and losing inches..but things have just gotten slow beyond belief! Instead of doing Cardio exercises, I've started walking/HIIT. I walk about 4 miles every morning...but it just doesn't seem to create the burn that I'm used to.

Oh..wait...where are my manners? Let me start again by saying, I'm sorry for the lack of support i've provided for everyone that would pop into my old diaries. And for all the new people, I started on this forums back in October of '05 at roughly 255 (when I initially started, I was at 275lbs). I've changed routines so many times, once I would hit a plateau, I would change up the routine so in efforts to "shock" my system. Well..that worked for most of the time...but this last time, it didn't really do anything really. I'm "stuck" at 195-199lbs. I've been putting on a fair amount of muscle, but that problem area gut o mine stays around like a villain in a horror movie that just WON'T DIE!!!! My job has been majorly stressful...not from the workload, but the people around me...it's frustrating to say the least. A change is coming so that's good... I have to apologize to everyone though... With all the new changes coming my way (Baby due next month, job, moving, etc), I won't be able to really hit other diaries like I would like too. I want to provide support, it's just so difficult! I will do my best though.

So, where does that leave me now? I was watching a bit of T.V. with the kids yesterday morning when an infomercial comes on. Now I know what you're thinking... "Just for 19.95, you can get everything you need.. and it will rear your children for you!!!" blah blah blah. Anyway..I should have it by tomorrow.. it's called p90x. it's a 90 day program of totally annihilating my body with exercise. Full on extreme obliteration of the remaining fat in my body. According to the plan, I must take pictures weekly to show my progress. No pictures today...but I'll take a picture tomorrow if that's when I start. I was doing some online research and it seems to really kick you in the rear... so here's to the new change..here's to kicking my own ass and finishing what I started! My buddy Tomble's back on the horse too and I think the competition has started again! Rock on! Here's to health!

Thanks guys! It feels good to be back. There's only one kink in my plans now.. I need a chin up bar or resistance bands... at this point I'm a little strapped for cash so... I'm looking for other means... but then...oh yes..I shall prevail! LOL
 
So... this morning, I decided to do the Biggest Loser DVD's Boot Camp... I woke up a tad late and only had a short time... it was 20 minutes of @$$ kickin... my arms were noodles by the end. And oddly enough...I get on the scale this morning... and I have FINALLY broken 195. Granted I'm only at 194.5 but hey..it's a start! I should have my p90x all ready to go for next Monday as my start..but judging by how hard it was for me to do my boot camp this morning, I may do the lesser, lower impact version..which is still miles ahead of anything I'm doing now... With how hard it was this morning... makes me see just how much I've slacked off lately.. and i don't like it one bit! So...I'm getting ready... I can't wait! I'm excited about being all ripped and what not. Will take my before picture on Saturday...and post it...
 
Sooo...nothing really new to report... I've been previewing my new work out sets that I start Monday... and I'm excited. I really really REALLY can't wait! Just figured I'd say hi to everyone...
 
Hi Saint -- glad you're looking forward to working out with those weights! You sure are getting close to your goal!

just wishing you the best with p90X. I LOVE beachbody products. I've found them to really kick my bum in gear when I do hit a plateau. I'm planning to start Power 90 July 30. (I'll leave the P90x to the top dogs for now.. hahaa) Good luck with it and do let us know how it turns out!

What's the difference with Power 90 and p90x? The more I preview the exercises I'm gonna be doing with P90X....the more I'm wondering if I should just be doing the lean program for now... (that and I don't have a pull up bar with apparently is 'required' for the program. I've been on a plateau for a long time... like a month or so... but what's good though is, even the lean program is intense. Thanks for the support Sheryl! This is my first time doing anything from Beach Body!

Hey Tom... I've been doing alot of weight training and my arms are KILLING me... Just wish I had some leg press machines or something like that so I could continue to build muscle on my legs...though..I'm sure my increased jumping exercises are gonna help with that!

SS you are really amazing. You have done so well in such a short time!! Keep it up man!!:)

Thanks Felici! You're another one that's been a faithful reader... thanks so much for stickin around.... I'm gonna stay committed with posting this time I think... scouts honor! :) how have you been ... well..I guess I need to hope over to your posts to see now don't I?
 
It's nice that you're posting. I have busy times too - a bit calmer for a little while now though, so more time for me to explore here. I'm happy with my own weight loss at the moment.
 
Good to hear that you're getting back into it so thoroughly. It's a race to the bottom again, huh? Well, you're already below my goal weight, so I don't think I'm going to beat you there :)

You're doing so well though, I am sure that the last bit is just being a bit stubborn.
 
Morning guys.. nothing really to report. Not having the greatest morning... but not terrible. I've started exercising at 5 am instead of 5:30. I like getting up earlier now....which is weird..though I do enjoy sleeping in on Weekends. But with p90, i'm gonna be doing it every day with rest or stretching on Sunday.... and it's an hour long... I need to get myself in the mental state for how hard this is gonna be physically. I'm way fitter than I was last October when I started...but this is intense training... I just need to focus! How's everyone doing?
