Sasse's Weight Loss Diary

Today I slepped in a little *it felt GREAT*
Went to the gym and did the weights and treadmill
Breakfast: 1 piece of toast topped with sauteed apple slices, 3/4 cup cottage cheese, tea with milk and honey

Lunch: beef and vegetable stir fry (taken out for lunch by a friend)
diet coke

3pm... lots of water, red pear and some cheese

Dinner: *will be having* baked sole with mango salsa, rice, asparagus

going out for a coffee with my friend tonight, will probably have a non fat latte

 
Hey you - Im feeling better and ready to start walkin whenever you are - just let me know - I wanted to drop in and wish you an early happy bday as you are going out tonight so enjoy and have fun - I also wanted to invite you to a PartyLite show I am having next weekend - not sure if you and a firned or somethign are interested in coming but you could come and meet my family and some of my friends...my oldest daughter lol...anyway have fun tonight

Hey you - eeewww page 13 lol - i was born on the 13th and my first bday was on Friday the 13th and this year I beleive it falls on a Friday we will so have to go out!!!

Anyway just checkin in to see how your night out was last night!!!

Oh and i have good gossip however it is in my diary - almost to good to blieve but we will see !!!

Hey there lena, thanks for the well wishes, i had a fun Birthday party, drank a bit too much red wine, but i didnt go crazy with it or anything. (mainly because, as i get older, my bouncing back ability, seems to just not work..lol. I remember when i could party and then go to work the next morning feeling great...Years and years ago..lol

Anyways..mango salsa...is very easy but keep in mind i dont know exact measurements because i kind of wing it..lol
-1 mango peeled and diced (you can use canned if you need to)
-1/2 each red and yellow bell pepper (you can use any color other than green)
-1/2 cup each:diced cucumber and white or purple onion (the white is a bit sweeter and the purple can at times be harsh..it depends on your taste
-handfull of coarsly chopped cilantro
-salt and pepper to taste
I sometimes add some seasonings such as granulated garlic, bit of cayanne pepper..depends on my mood.
Sometimes ill add the juice of half a lime if i have it
Its really a userfriendly salsa, you can do whatever you like to it.

If you want to make regular salsa then omit the fruit and add 1 whole seeded and chopped tomato

Let it sit for at least 1/2 an hour to let the flavors mix

well...I am now officially 37...man oh man oh man!...lol. So..ive had a bit of a rough start to my 'lifestyle' change...seems ive had a lot of style in my life but little has been actually changing...well, for the good anyways.
SO..its time for some postive changes in my lil world.
I dont want to be huge at 40!!! Im so tired of feeling sore, tired and sweaty. ...Plus, im feeling the need to look good...what the hell! lets go for it all...lol.

I think part of it has to be me, taking the time to record my totals..i that really does help me.
(Good or BAD!!!)

Today: woke up late with a teeny weeny itsy bitsy hangover...
Dan and i went for sushi
I had: Miso soup, agadashi tofu, salad role and two pieces of vegetable tempura
Lots of green tea and water

afternoon: had an english toffee coffee at tim hortons, bottle of water

Dinner: Prawn and vegetable soup
-chicken broth, onions, carrots, red and yellow peppers, snap peas, broccoli, pea sprouts and cilantro.
-seasoning BRAGG liquid soy seasoning (very low sodium)
*sautee veggies for only a couple minutes, add broth, bring to a boil turn off heat and add cooked prawns and cilantro to heat through. put raw pea sprouts in bowl and then pour soup over top.
2 Glasses of water
Went to a late movie, shared a small popcorn with Dan, and had a diet coke

Glad to hear all went well and yes tallying them all up really helps - it is a pain in the ass but it works - when I am to busy to post them here - I write them down - maybe a little obsessive but I keep a diet and exercise journal both on paper and on the comp...Have a good day Chicky

Thats definately a good tip Cerella, thanks. I know that when i dont write down what im eating...i can easily put more and more food into my mouth without thinking twice about it. Im sure most people are the same.

Todays totals...(drum roll.....)
BREAKFAST: 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 small red pear and 1 small banana, 9 whole almonds
water

LUNCH: 1 cup basmatti rice topped with soy ground round, red, yellow and green peppers, onion, mushrooms and spincach in a low sugar tomato sauce. 1 1/2 oz serving of fetta on top
water

SNACK: last piece of birthday cake.. very small piece of fruit flan.
water

DINNER: 3 chicken strips, fries and a bottle of water from wendy's

SNACK:1 oz aged chedder cheese, 1 pear, water

WORK OUT:
went to the gym with Dan, did 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill, once around the circuit and i did my floor exercises.
Im soooooooo ready for bed!!!!

Well it is finally the end of my week. WHEW!!! Ive had a hard time really making good food choices this week, my mind set just wasnt there at all. The result was that i felt like absolute crap, upset stomach, cramps, headaches...pretty much how ive spent most of my life feeling. I didnt realize that feeling like that wasnt normal, until i started to eat better. Well the good thing is that i do know the difference now, and i really hate feeling crappy. So I do eventually get tired of the self abuse and get back on track. Im going away with my boyfriend for the weekend and we talked about NOT eating like crazy people, just cuz we are going to be away. Not that we cant have a treat, we just cant use the weekend as an excuse to pig out. Im glad he understands. I think the challange in the 200 plus club came at a really good time for me. I know i really need that type of motivation right now.

Thought id post a quick entry before i hit the sack. Im up wayyyyyyy to late, considering i have to get up early..lol.. crazy me!

Breakfast:
cottage cheese 3/4 cup
cantelope 1 cup

Lunch:
1 1/2 cups salad with homemade dressing ( white balsamic vin, udo's oil, dijon mustard, salt, pepper and garlic)
1 veggie pattie grilled
1 piece toast
3/4 oz goat cheddar cheese
water

Dinner:
3/4 cup chowmein
1 cup steamed carrots and broccoli
4 oz pulled pork
water

girls night (we meet once a month) the theme was comfort..*not a good sign*
I did not too bad, had 1 small brownie, 3 mini spinach puffs, 3 crackers with salmon spread and baby carrots 1/2 cup
I avoided the spinach dip, 4 layer bean dip, triffle, and i had no booze, just one large glass of diet 7 up.
I managed to keep myself somewhat composed..lol

We actually did not too bad, had a bit of a sinful dessert at a fancy dancy dinner, but other than that... i kinda behaved. lol. Im having some monitor issues with my computer at home * im at work at the moment* Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt..lol. Time for a new one, but not quite in the budget. When i Get home tonight im going to try to get it working so i can actually read some diaries and such. I have had no time hardly at all this week. Ill give you a call this weekend and maybe we can make a date.
