This weekend my boyfriend and I are going to salt spring island to visit his Dad. Im very greatful that his dad is supportive of me losing weight and always makes sure that dinner there is healthy, but still really tasty. (well, except for that time that he attempted to make seafood soup...not so good... but the intentions were fantastic) lol
I told him not to worry about me, and he said the most wonderful thing. He said " Michelle you are part of our family and I will always support everything you do..unless it will get me into trouble" lol.. How can you not love the guy!
So, Im pretty sure it will be a nice visit, and i will be back Sunday night.
Michelle :)

Thank you Wishes, im sorry you dont have support that way. However, you do have a lot of family here that will support you any way that you need. :) Actually I do feel very lucky, because growing up, my real family were definately not supportive. In one way its sad that some of us have to look outside of our back yard to find it, but then again, lucky when we do. :)

Hey cinder.
Im totally up for coffee, the only evening during the week that im free is tuesday night, other than that it would have to be on the weekend. Let me know what works for you.
:) hope you had a good weekend.
Michelle :)

I ate fairly well this weekend. I had a soup and a sandwich on the ferry. Both items were really good, and I asked for no butter and little mayo. Dan's dad made us very inventive meals..lol... ( the man loves to experiment) Dinner on saturday night was buffalo meatballs (very yummy) with carrots, turnip and onions (kind of a stew) served over quinoa (its a grain served like rice but far better for ya)
Breakfast was turkey sausages, sauted root veggies and rye toast with apple butter ( basically apple sauce but more dense)
Lunch - mung bean soup with vegetables ( mung beans are kind of like split peas but with much more protein)
Dinner was pork loin, sauteed spinach with garlic and brussels sprouts (some people might think thats yucky, but i love it) and a whole wheat roll.
I think i need to go over there more often..lol
Michelle :)

Today I slept a bit later than i wanted, but then again i went to bed much too late. Thats a big part of my schedule problems, I am such a night owl...and then i sleep in, dont make breakfast or miss a workout. That is a goal i will work on... So if you all see me up at 3 am... Give me CRAP!!!..lol
I didnt work out this morning but, i do have an extremely physical job, so i do know i wont be inactive, that is for sure. Ive already put my gym clothing into my car so that tomorrow after work i will head straight there.

Well, my diary changed a little today. I ended up not having my soup and sandwich for lunch...and my big salad with shrimp for dinner
I ended up having the salad for lunch, with a piece of whole grain toast

For dinner I had 4 meatballs cooked with pineapple juice, terriyaki sauce, peppers and cornstarch to thicken. I had that over 1 cup of basmati rice.
I had the rest of my salad left over from lunch, with it

Snack, had a kitkat bar..
Drank 2 litres of water today, so im doing much better in that department.

Oh sorry .. ill wipe that up *scrubs up the drool*

Holy hunnies, that DOES sound really good... I'm gonna learn to cook one day...hmm. Anyways, have a great day tomorrow!!

lol Wishes and Jess, Its a pretty simple dish and it is pretty tasty. i really dont measure things all that much. Here is a basic recipe, should you want to try it.
Meatballs
1pound lean ground beef
2 grated carrots
2 pieces of bread torn into small pieces
1/2 cup oats
2 eggs
Dried spices.. dash of this and that..lol
salt and pepper, onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, and basil.
*the sauce is pretty flavorful, you dont really need to many spices
Mix all together and form into firm meat balls, brown in a pan with either cooking spray or a small amount of oil. Not to cook, just to firm up the outside. Place meatballs into a baking dish

Sauce
In a bowl mix together
juice from one can of pineapple chunks (put chunks over meatballs)
1 cup of orange or citrus juice ( nothing with berries, lemon or lime)
1/2 cup terriyaki sauce ( however you spell it)
1 tblsp of cornstarch disolved into mixture

Pour juice over meatballs, cover and bake in a 350 degree oven until meatballs are cooked through.. 35 - 45 minutes...
During the last ten minutes of cooking i placed 2 diced green peppers on top of the meatballs so they didnt get too mushy from being over cooked
If you want the sauce thicker, just put another Tbsp of cornstarch in a bit of cold water to disolve and mix in with meatballs and sauce, as it boils it will thicken more.

Im not sure if you wanted a recipe..lol... but there ya go, just in case
Michelle :)

Sounds good!!! YUM, we had meatballs the other day for dinner also, but I am bad and we eat them in mushroom soup for sauce, lol...I hate mushrooms but I love mushroom soup on a few things, chicken and pork chops and meatballs...

Well actually I am a bit relieved, lol, I have a short day today...schedule change.....but I am beat and my house is a mess and i could use the time my youngest is in daycare to straighten the place up and get some exercise in...Thee weekend sometime sounds good, I will give it some thought and send ya a shout...Im think Sat morning might be the best...dont quote me yet on that one...Im always up early on Sat...Have a good day...I will catch up latta on:D:D:D

You are very welcome for the recipe...hopefully it works for you, im really a cook with whats in the cubord kinda girl..lol
So, today i had to go to a seminar for work (I have to go tomorrow as well) and im pretty proud of how well i did, considering they always have lots of donuts and muffins and such there. Last time a couple of us aske for there to be some healthier choices..so our company made sure there was also some fruit provided. I ate breakfast before i left my house, so i wouldnt be as tempted for the chocolate chip muffins *which are technically cake disguised as something healthy..lol*
half way through my day i shared a donut with my partner.

For lunch they provided us with salad, fruit and sandwiches. So i had 1 ham on rye with salad...and i had water
Had more coffee than usual, cuz i started getting tired...lol

Afterwards i wanted to stop at the fast food place but talked myself out of it and went home
I cooked a small chicken breast (on my grill press)
Sauteed spinach, brussels sprouts and pumpkin seeds with lemon juice, garlic, onion and salt and pepper
1 whole wheat roll
Lots of water

I then got an interesting call from my gym...I had joined a program with them called the zone diet. Part of this diet means i have to weigh in, get my fat composition, inches...all that fun stuff.
Well ive been avoiding that part big time. Ive been sneaking in, doing a work out here and there and weighing myself at home. So a trainer called me and gave me crap!... I know its a good thing. He takled to me for quite a while about what i wanted for myself, and how i was feeling, my fears, dreams...and so on. He said he would like to call me once a week, to see how im doing and to motivate me. Soooo..long story kinda shortish...I am meeting him saturday at noon. We will do the whole body totals again..He said 'lets start from scratch!"... so thats what we are doing....
lol..um... woo hoo!..
Dont get me wrong, I am excited about getting healthy...lol..its just the work outs that i have not fully embrased yet..
Wish me luck!

Cinder, can we meet before my workout? when i still look kinda human??? laughs
Michelle:)
