Rest up and take care of that cold. Glad that you said it couldn't be caught over the internet or I fear you'd be blaming me for you getting sick.

Hopefully reading about people being sick doesn't increase the chances of catching something, but fair warning to all your other readers if this turns out to be the case.

AAw Sarah I hope u feel better real soon. I absolutley hate hate hate having a cold. I get so miserable and grumpy. Sore throat and funny nose I can deal with but that drowsy real tired feeling that I get I can't deal with it. I can't deal with feeling incredibly tired. I'm quite lazy when it comes to sleeping anf get at least 8hrs sometimes 9 every night and on a Saturday night into Sunday morning I get about 10 or 11hrs. I so irritable if I don't get enough sleep.
The best thing tho is rest and jst get plenty of sleep. Sleep when u need to and jst sleep it off.

I hope u feel better soon x

sorry you are sick Sarah. I hope you feel better. Grats on your new Iphone. Sounds like a fun toy. My phone is quite old but it has great battery life. its fun to not have to charge it for 14 days. thats about the only fun thing about it though. try and get some rest from that cold so you can go back to kicking butt!

Sarah, it's smart to rest & let your body recover from, what I think, makes you feel worse than almost any other illness- the so-called rotten, "common cold." Hope you feel better very soon, xo Cate

Thanks everyone.

Still feeling punny today, but did go to work. Didn't exercise yet, started on antibiotics today, and hopefully will feel well enough soon to get back at it. That's about all for now...

AHeya Sarah.

Aww sweetie :( Colds properly suck. Sleep lots and recover. Dont worry about doing your exercise. That can wait til you are feeling better. Look after yourself hun.

:grouphug:

Just dropping by to say get well soon! And kudos for sticking to your program while in China and a demanding job on top of that. I worked in China for a few years before and with the stress and tasty (oily) food available it was just impossible for me. xx

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling better..not quite well yet, but better.

I actually took off exercising all week..1st time I've done that since I started this journey, but I just felt like I had to recoupe and get some rest...so I did. Last night was the first night I was able to sleep though the night and breath a little! I'm thinking tomorrow I'll go back to get a good workout..just in time to go on the business trip. I've stayed on my normal eating habits this week and have stayed on track. I didn't get my measurements done...maybe tomorrow morning early...not sure right now.

I'll be traveling and only able to use my phone to post..so I won't be posting much in the coming 2 weeks. Thanks again for all your well wishes! See you when I weigh-in 1st of April!

Sarah

Glad your feeling better Sarah. I hope you enjoy your trip! I think you made a good call to sit out the exercise for awhile to help yourself rest up. I've read it isn't necessary when your sick to sit out exercising. Basically meaning it's not going to make it worse, however, I think it's more mental. Taking a break when your sick can help your mind feel like your truly resting, which I think it really important. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what April 1st brings! :)

Glad to hear you are close to well.

Life has a way of getting in the way of our game plans doesnt it?

Just gotta pick ourselves up and start walking forward.

Glad you are feeling better, Sarah! Thanks for your kind words. I am looking forward to your progress report on the 1st. You are an inspiration to me!:hurray:

AThanks everyone. Here in Poland on my way to Paris for a short layover before going to Shanghai for the week. It's been a mixed bag this time. Romania didnt have a fitness center at the hotel so I walked early in the mornings, Poland had a fitness center, but it only opened at 3:00pm(what's up with that?) I didn't go crazy with food (like I did in Brazil last time) but I don't feel my clothes getting any looser! I'm betting April 1st will not bring a lot of progress on the scale. Between being sick before I left and 2 weeks on the road, I don't have high expectations for the little needle on the scale (yes, I still have an old scale that I have to squint to see!) . I know the hotel on Shanghai has a fitness center so I should be able to get back into some sort of groove once I'm there. Traveling on pleasure is fun...traveling for business sucks!
I'll get to catching up with all of your diaries when I get back home!
Sarah

Sounds like you're doing the best you can, under the circumstances Sarah, which is all we can ever do. Soon you'll be back in your groove & that needle will surely move. You'll get to goal because you are determined to. Glad that you are now well! Cheers, xo Cate

Hope your time in Shanghai was enjoyable and you managed to find a suitable elliptical during your stay. Sounds like you're looking forward to getting back to your normal routine and everyone here will be glad to see you back as well.

Hello everyone!! Thanks for all your comments! I'm finally back home here in Shenyang and aside from still having some jetlag and getting over (thankfully) some constipation (I'll spare you the details!) from not getting enough water during all this trip, I'm doing fine. I got up this morning and did my 60 minutes on the elliptical (yes, it was great to get back on "my" machine!) and then I went to breakfast and had 2 eggs, sweet n sour chicken and some muslix, fruit and walnuts (after the bout with constipation I need to get my system back calibrated and get the enzymes back in my intestinal tract. Just glad to be home...I'll weigh-in tomorrow...and see if the needle moves...as I said before, not sure what it's going to bring this time...but if not this time then next!

Now, I'm going to get caught up on your all's diarys...always more interesting than mine!

Sarah

Today...1st of April...and the weigh-in results are...188 lbs (86.5 kg)...that makes me at a total of 81 pounds lost and 53 more to go! I was sure as I wrote sitting in the airport in Warsaw that this was not going to be a good month with 2 weeks on business trip and 1 week out of exercise due to being sick...but, some how or another my body decided it was OK to shed another 5 pounds. And, on top of that, according to the BMI index, I've moved into being "overweight" instead of "obese"...both sound bad to me, but I'm happy to be in the "orange" instead of "red" on the BMI index !

So, with that behind me, I went to exercise and feeling really good, I knocked out 60 min on the elliptical for 919 cal, then 30 minutes on the treadmill for 326 cal, then 60 situps on the incline board, 5 min on the rowing machine to stretch my back and finally a few repetitions on the free weights...feeling really pumped!

Just got back from breakfast where I had sauteed green beans, sauteed eggplant, stirfried kale, sauteed pork and 2 fried eggs and then back to my walnuts, cranberries and cheese mix. A big breakfast, and tasted so good to me..something about "home" just makes everything better!

So, here's the chart:

For those reading my diary...just know that we all have ups and downs...and certainly all is not "up" with me all the time...I try to enjoy my up's and get through the downs'...today is an "up" and I'm loving every minute of it!

Woot, Woot Sarah. WELL DONE!! 5lbs!! That is such a bonus while travelling. It just goes to show that even though you were away you are still making smart choices! That's great! xo Cate

Very well done for such a busy month. :hurray:

I'm sure the elliptical and treadmill time is getting your April off to a great start as well.
