Hey Munch,
The key to non boredom on the eliptical is the ipod! I have several "up beat" music selection playlists in 1 hr, 30 min and 15 min time lengths each, so I just crank it up and don't stop until the music stops! Other days, I have a 30 min language lesson (also on the ipod) and it keeps my mind occupied. I use the "random" exercise routine at a resistance of 13...every month I try to increase by 1 level (as I lose weight, I increase resistance). Typically during the 1 hour, I will switch it up and go backwards for a few minutes at a time. For whatever reason, I go faster when I'm going backwards and when it's really tough on the resistance, I let my arms get a good workout by having them pull the load!
Today, I did my 1 hr for 840 cal, then breakfast was sauteed eggplant, 2 fried eggs, sauteed pork and some stirfried chinese cabbage. Lunch: sweet & sour pork, fried rice and 3 baby mandarin oranges.
Dinner: (after 6) was a company function (not sure what all I ate...big lazy susan chinese style dinner..some mutton (which I don't really like) some type of sweet potato and some snow peas..didn't eat much...had to do several toasts (I don't drink), so they gave me peach juice...it was good, but I'm sure it was full of sugar...duty, honor, company...the bad news is that I have 5 more of these dinners to go to...argghh!
Tomorrow is a short day, then off Friday...woohooo...a 4 day weekend coming up...liesurely exercises here I come!
