Sara Maria's Weight Loss Journal

Hey Sara Maria,

I almost got stressed just hearing about your crazy work schedule, I do hope you get it order or you will end up as an insane woman:)
Good on you for eating fruit and congrats on your loss, its a beaty:)
Hope your "pampering" day with 5 hours in between was just as great as it should be:)

Alright, its Monday 5 am and I'm back at front reception. Crazy weekend with me working at both jobs on Saturday....first the gym for 3 hours and then Addition-Elle for 4 1/2 hours and then worked 5 hours doing stock at AE yesterday.

Saturday I brought myself a container filled with two and a half cups of strawberries and blackberries to eat while up in daycare. For breakfast I had special k cereal with the dried red berries (yummy) and a slice of toast. I went home and had a tuna sandwich and a greek salad before heading off to my other job where I took a container with 2 cups of cherry tomatoes and cucumber. For dinner I had 1 cup of pasta with a tomato sauce and 1 and a half cups of asparagus and baby carrots.

Sunday I ate a fruit salad I made up that had blueberries, strawberries, mangos, blackberries, papaya and raspberries. I made enough for a couple of portions so I ate it at varying times of the day. I put about a cups worth of most of them...and half a cup for the blueberries and raspberries. For lunch I made a sandwich on flax bread that I bought from the bakery next door and put lean cajun spiced turkey, with 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices of tomato and a lettuce leaf and salt and pepper. For dinner I made myself a big pot full of chili that I divided into portions in the various containers that I have so that I can eat it throughout the week. For the chili I used lean ground beef and fresh beans and tomatoes.

What about today you say? Sorry.....right now I am eating an egg sandwich on the same flax bread from next door, though its one slice of bread cut in half so that I don't use two long pieces (sort of cuts down on the carbs I think..). The eggs were cooked in the low fat Pam cooking spray and are on top of low fat cheddar cheese, a lettuce leaf and salt and pepper. To eat as a snack 2 cups of cherry tomatoes and mushrooms. I also brought a small amount of sliced mango. When I go home I will probably eat 1 serving of chili with a salad. For dinner? 1 haddock fillet with some rice and asparagus. I'm planning things out now....or at least trying too.....I'm not working the crazy hours today...might be on Wednesday and Thursday.....eeep...paycheque shall be good this time....I hope...I need to buy some winter clothes and start buying for Christmas.

Eating went fairly well yesterday....went home and had small portion of pasta with a salad instead of chili (don't want to overdo it on the chili) and I had the haddock fillet with a small portion of rice and carrots instead of asparagus. It changed a little from the original plan, but hey....

Dinner is always the hardest for me, especially after working all day....I don't want to skip it though because I want to keep into a routine...does anybody else have that problem?

Today I have with me an egg sandwich, low fat cheese, 1 egg on a wholewheat english muffin. Smaller portion than yesterday. The plan for today is to have a veggie sandwich when I go home, with a lettuce leaf, 2 slices of tomato, red pepper slices, cucumber and 1 slice of cheese, with a small amount of low fat mayo. Dinner? I'll probably have a bowl of chili and a salad. Nothing too full on.

I'm feeling so tired from the non stop schedule and I'm really starting to look forward to the trip home to Australia to see my family in a couple of weeks. It's also extra incentive to work hard on improving my eating and working out. I've missed my family so much over the last 4 years or so that I've been back here in Canada. I like it here, but I really miss Australia. I miss my friends there too. Haven't seen most of them in so long.

Oh boy......tired does not even begin to describe me right now...I look like I've been awake all night but really I got a decent amount of sleep. 9 pm- 4 am. Sheesh...

Hi sara.... glad to "see" u here! Finally I am not lonely at this hour! lol

I dun hv a problem with dinner.... nobody cooks at home and I m too lazy to cook just for myself. So usually it's a stick of fishballs or fruits for me. I'll eat while shopping downtown.

Aw.... hope u hv fun back in Australia! I'm sure your family n friends miss u lots too! But we'll miss u here while u go back! hahaha...:D

I forgot to write that yesterday when I finished work at daycare, my co worker and I worked out for about 45 minutes, doing light treadmill and then a few machines. I'm planning on working out again today either after daycare at 12 or just before I restart daycare again (probably try and come back for 3:30/4 and work out for an hour.

I can't wait to get my coffee from Tim's. I only drink one per day, but at 4 am I need it!!! I try not to drink it at all the rest of the day because my stomach gets upset.

I didn't know you were from Oz SaraMaria!! I used to date a guy from Oz who was living in Canada. What a coincidence. There aren't a lot of you there, are there? haha When exactly are you visiting home? Cos I'm leaving London to go and visit home in Texas in just a couple of weeks too. :)

I had some Tim Horton's when I visited Canada...that was good stuff! teehee

I hope I'll be coming here and be just like you with a 17lb loss! That's so great :)
You're schedule seems so tiring, but you can do this!
I'm sure your trip to Australia will be that extra boost and rest you need to keep at it as well!

I'm sure it will be the best thing for me at this point. I'm so tired, even just now sitting here at this computer desk. I got the other girl that I work with during the day to work tonight so that I could go home and relax for an afternoon rather than worry about coming back into work. It's one afternoon but I have so much stuff to do its not even funny!! Apartment needs a lot of work and cleaning up and I hardly ever have the energy or the motivation to do it. Eating was good yesterday. i ate just before i left for work instead of eating right after i got home. made the difference!

I'm sitting here eating a slice of flax seed bread with a light margarine spread because i am running out of food at home and am a bit broke! Ah well. Thanks to everyone for your support.

Oh.... I hope yr payday is coming! But maybe u'll lose weight by hvg less $ to spend on food? Heheh...

Have a good workout cleaning your apt. My room is still in a mess:eek: !

Hey Saramaria,

Just hang in there, we are all chearing you on. Hope you had a stressfree day today:)

Thanks guys. The day's just starting and hopefully it will only get better!! I am telling my boss the days for the trip today so we can fill out paperwork for it. I cannot wait. I really am just so looking forward to it. It's going to be a loooooooooooooooooong haul flight but it will be worth it to be able to see my mom and dad, and siblings and my friend!!

I got all my vegies in yesterday, for the challenge. Lots of bell pepper, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. Yummy yummy. I had chili for dinner and got quite a few things done as I got the shift at daycare taken by the new girl. Thank Goodness. I went to bed at 8pm like I would if I wasn't here. I'm hoping I can get off early tonight so I can go home and just go straight to bed. It's going to be a long day today another 5 am- 8 pm day- doing 1pm-4pm at my other job.......I'm so glad I'm going on holiday soon so I can forget about work for a little while!!

This morning I had an egg on an English muffin (no butter) with pepper as the seasoning. I've brought two different flavored nutri grain bars (apple cinnamon and raspberry) and I haven't figured out what I'm going to do for lunch because I forgot to pack it. Oh boy.....

The thing I'm having a hard time with is working out. Getting the motivation. I'm definitely not going to be today because of the tight schedule but I will tommorow after I finish work at 12. That is the best time for me to do it, in all honesty. I'm not usually a morning person. Waking up at 4 is hard enough for me...hahaha.....I just try and be as warm and welcoming as I can be at this hour...I really want to get back into working out. I feel like a schlub when I don't. Oh to be in bed right now.....
