Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

Hey all :)

I got up this morning and had a flat tire, so I had to drive my bros truck into work instead... I don't know how I got it yet, but he is looking into it for me...

I didn't get to the gym last night by the time I finally got off work. I was pretty tired. Tonight I want to go for sure though but, i also want to go grocery shopping too.... Hopefully I can get it all done, and I don't think I get off work until like 8pm or so...

Food wise, yesterday didn't do too bad. About 2300 cals though, so I need it to be a little bit less than that, and I wish I would have worked out.

Happy Tuesday :)

-Sam

Found out it was a 3'' nail in my tire... I had to end up getting a new one because the old one could not be saved. Oh well, I miss my car and didn't really like driving my bro's truck into work today, so I will be glad to have it back as good as new....

That sucks about your car's tire. :ack2: I hate it when that happens.

Good luck getting to the gym and grocery shopping tonight, sexy. :)

Hey all...

Got to the gym last night and did 43 minutes of cardio and a decent core routine. Slept clear till and hour before I had to be into work, guess it wiped me out. Still making protein shakes with the psyllium husk but, I don't think it seems to be working as well as it did in the beginning. I probably need to be making sure I get the psyllium husk in everyday, which I'm not quite....

Running on the treadmill felt great. My pace I run at very very comfortably is about 5.8-6.2 mph. I was up to a comfortable 6.5 a few months ago but I slacked off and this is what I feel the best with right now... I do end every run with a 1-2 minutes sprint at 7.5mph (lately)... It makes for about or just under 10 minute miles, which is a good pace for me I think.

For the past two weeks I've been trying to do a core workout I designed in my head. I've been pretty successful... It starts with back extensions (usually 3 sets of 30) and holding just a 10lb weight. I then do the side extensions on the same machine (3 sets of 25, each side). I then move onto to this exercise where I sit on the edge of bench and bring my knees to my chest with out letting my feet touch the ground (3 sets of 25)... I then usually do a crunch machine that is weighted and do (3 sets of 25 at 30-35lbs)... I know I do still need to add a few more exercises to this core routine, and eventually I will be able to up reps as well. Right now I'm just proud that this routine has become like habit, which I have always wanted to be doing a core routine every other day...

Planning on getting to the gym tonite as well for a chest/back/shoulder workout and some more running.

....yeah I think it is about the Consistency of the Psyllium, the amount, and the amount of times you intake....I'm gonna go back to doing all of the above, ASAP!!! :)

....GOOD WORKOUT!!! :)

That psyllium husk is the shiz, and will help clean out old shiz stuck in the colon. It's hard to take everyday, but when you do, it makes a huge difference. You'll give birth to nice healthy poo babies. LOL!! Gross.

Keeping your colon clean will help fight premature aging too.

I will definitely keep my colon clean to fight premature aging ;)

So, got up this morning and the power was out, so I had to kind of get dressed in the dark, lol... Oh well, I guess I could have opened the curtains or something. I hope the power is back on tonite when I'm off work, I need my AC at night!!!

I went to the gym last night and did an excellent Chest/Back/Shoulder workout... It went something like this:

Back- Leaned over lifting a plate (lol) 45lb plate 3x20
Shoulders- shrugs 35lb plates each side 3x20
Chest- Fly machine 3x20 at 100-110lbs
Lat Pulldown- 3x20 at 70lbs for first 2 sets, then 55lbs for last set
Chest Press- 3x20 at 55lbs (I was getting worn out by then)
Seated Row- 3x20 at 50lbs first two sets, then 40lbs for last set

I then ran 3.1 miles on the treadmill in 30:45. Pretty happy about that. That doesn't include a 4 minute warmup I did prior. I got home and did some stretching and had a protein shake with 2 scoops of psyllium husk in it with a banana, protein, and ice, and some skim milk... Very tasty but i don't know how much I'm feeling the psyllium husk. Today it mostly feels like its making my stomach growl and feel a little uneasy...

Today I'm stuck at work clear till 9:30 or so... I want to get to the gym by about 10:30 tonite, for a good workout. We shall see though. I've been needed to weight train my legs pretty badly, but along with that comes the hardcore stiffness I usually get in my legs especially, when I train them. Plus, I won't be able to run as my cardio for that day... I will have to do the crosstrainer or elliptical or something. Not upset about it, I've just been diggin the running for last while or so...

Ugh, now the power's out? Hope it's back on for sleeping tonight. I hear ya on the need for a/c! :D

Great job at the gym last night! :hurray:

Hey all :)

Had a nice weekend, for the most part. Did overdo it food wise and didn't get enough exercise in.... I guess I just gotta pick right back up where I left off last week. I find it's just so much easier for me to do good during the week, but once the weekend comes its a lot harder... I gotta work on that this week for sure, and no more bad bad weekends...

I started a cleanse I got thru Whole Foods on Friday. It claims to be a colon cleanse but we shall see. I gotta start incorporating more fruits and veggies into my diet and limit the meat and dairy a little bit more. I hope it works.... I feeling like I need to be cleansed, lol....

Got my haircut off this morning. It was getting pretty thick and unmanageable, imo.. It's pretty much my natural color now, cut short and spiked up into a fauxhawk... I've had that hairstyle a lot over the past couple of years, I guess I go back and forth. I'm glad I still have enough hair to pull it off... My little bros have less hair than me, so I guess I am the lucky one.

My friend had me be a hair model for him a few months ago, and it worked out really well. One of my pictures was selected and used in his hair school's advertising, and I just found out that the pic is being used in a commercial for the school too :) He asked me today if I would be a model for him again (maybe) and I told him I would. I guess the theme of the next shoot is couture hair, so it would involve me dying it dark again and it being pretty short, and I would probably be wearing a suit.... We shall see if it all works out.

Plan on getting to the gym tonite. I need to do my core routine and run a few miles again. Wish me luck! :)

-Sam

Sam, a hair model in an advert is a great motivator. Use that at the gym to crank it out that extra. Remember, it's the last five minutes that make the difference, not the first. Unless you count the first five as actually getting there. Hmm. don't know. Gotta think on that one. Anyway, give it your all at the gym.

Thanks Trops :)

That pita I made for lunch tasted like shit, lol... I made it the night before trying to be productive so i wouldn't want to be rushed in the morning... I will have to think of some different things to put in there because what I did put in was yucky, lol....

I made it to the gym last night, just like I said I would. I got home, threw on some gym clothes and went to the gym for a core workout and some running. Didn't quite run a 5k distance last night but, pretty close.

I then got home and watched men's gymnastics. The US was awesome, just not quite good enough to beat China. Still a bronze medal is amazing. I then proceeded to watch a very disturbing episode of Intervention last night about a girl who huffs that spray duster shit for your computer/electronics.... She goes thru like 10 cans a day or something and it is hard to watch... I've never really seen or known anyone who has struggled with inhalants before, so it was kind of eye opening to me I guess. I didn't watch the end so I don't know if she made it to rehab and her update. I shall find it on youtube here in awhile.

Made myself a protein shake with psyllium in it last night (2 scoops) and taking my cleanse pills faithfully. I've been cutting out the meat a little bit, and still need to amp up my fruits and veggies. No more diet coke, just iced tea for me now...

Plan on getting to the gym tonite, for some chest/back/shoulders and a nice run hopefully...
