Sam's from Chunk to Hunk Journal :)

Oh the leftovers.... they'll kill yah being so good!

Glad you survived & alcohol can be such a great lifeboat when you need it. Good luck with switching up the routine. One day (er..couple of days) won't kill us. I'm just glad I don't eat like that everyday!

I think we are all in that same boat of leftovers and massive gym workouts this coming week. You'll do just fine I have no doubt!! I'll stop back by later in the week to make sure!! LOL Enjoy your evening!
Kim:waving:

I just realized we have the same ticker! Although your snowman has moved quite a bit more than mine!! :D

I have no doubt you will reach your goals!! :)

Luckily for me, Thanksgiving is in October in Canada, so I'm way over the turkey-binge. lol
Sam, I didn't realize you had lost a total of 34 lbs! CRAZY! It seems like such a short time ago that you were at around 15. Congrats, hun! The 50 lbs will come off soon enough. :)

Thanks everybody. I didn't make it to the gym this morning, like I had planned. I was pretty behind on sleep and knew I had to work today. I'm going to try to go for a run tonite after work.

I have an appointment to go get my haircut tonite from my friend. I am trying to let it grow out some but, it's getting a little shaggy and i don't know if I like it... I think I'm just going to have him clean up my edges and stuff.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday:)

-Sam

I'm trying to grow my hair too. It's so friggin' hard! I just wanna chop it all off. Don't give in! You can do it. lol

Have a nice run.

Hello everybody.

My haircut was successful last night. I just had him clean up my edges some, he barely took any off. I still want to keep it growing out, at least until Jan. or so. maybe longer. He was actually surprised at how healthy and good my hair looks. It needs to be dyed again though... I will work on that I guess.

Got up for the gym today and went to see my trainer. He put my through a plyometrics workout. I had never done one of those before, really. I will say it was very difficult and left me gasping for air pretty much the whole time. It was the first workout where I felt really close to :puke:
My legs feel like JELLO.....

Eating wise, doing pretty well today. Working on getting that "eating every three hours" down today. Once I get myself back into it for a few days, it is pretty easy to follow, at least for me. I got a sandwich for lunch, a huge one, and I am splitting it into two meals. I had a protein shake for breakfast, and will snack on some cottage cheese and fruit later tonite. All in all, a pretty decent day both exercise and food wise. Happy about that.

It is starting to get bitter bitch cold here in SLC. It just started snowing, right now...

-Sam

brrrrrrr! Snow?

Glad the haircut worked out. Don't know why its so stressful, when you know it will grow back, but it just takes so long when you get a bad one! I'm too vain sometimes I guess.

That workout sounds intense. Hopefully it will pay off & by the new year you will be losing inches in other ways than just cutting your hair! :santa:

Thanks Moon :) BRRRR is right!!! Still getting used to the snow and slush.

Made it to the gym today. No trainer, I was on my own. Did a little bit of chest and triceps but, not as much as I should have. I then was on the treadmill for 37 minutes. I ran for about 25 or so of it. My legs are incredibly sore from the workout my trainer put me thru yesterday. I guess my body isn't used to plyometrics. My legs have shin splints bad, so I am trying to stretch them out a lot. Regardless of the pain and stiffness, I ran, so with that I am happy.

Happy Wednesday to all....

-Sam:)

Made it to the gym this morning, once again :)

My trainer and I did intervals on the treadmill today. I had never done them. They were pretty hard. Next week we are going to design me a new routine, a fat burner one in fact. I can't wait. I weighed in this morning and had gained a pound from yesterday, even though I made it to the gym yesterday and ate pretty decently. I was expecting a loss. My trainer told me not to worry about it. I guess I am not going to...

Need to get to the store ASAP. Don't think I will make it tonite after work though. I will have a four day weekend this weekend, so I'm probably going to go then. Still pretty sore but, not as sore as yesterday, which is a relief.

ttyl,
Sam

Hey all.

My four day weekend actually turned into a three. Oh well... I made it to the gym on Sat. and ran 4 miles. Still waiting on my new routine from the trainer, hope I get it this week. Didn't get much sleep last night. You know the nights when your aware that you have to get up in the morning but, your body won't just let you go to sleep. That was the summary of my night last night. I only got about 3.5hrs of sleep... So, not sure if going to run after work tonite or go home and take a nap.... Still deciding.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

-Sam:)

Hello everybody.

Made it to they gym this morning to meet with the PT. We went thru and maxed me out for my new workouts. Still not completely finished, we will on Thursday. This new workout is going to be pretty tough. I will be making friends with freeweights a lot more than I am used to, lol. It will be good though. I then did only 20 minutes on the treadmill. I've got this wicked blister on the bottom of my left foot and it is killing me. I'm going grocery shopping tonite after work and I'm going to look for something that will ease it and maybe even let me run without pain or it getting worse.

Not much else to report. It's cold and ugly here in Utah.

ttyl,
Sam:)

Sounds like the workout is going to be good for you.
Ever try that moleskin or second skin stuff. Its like a rubbery layer of skin you put on it so nothing rubs against it & makes it worse. Sometimes it helps, sometimes its a pain in the arse. Anyway hope it heals fast & you learn to love the free weights.

Its cold as anything here too! 38 degrees is making me want to not leave the house. I just want to layer flannel Pjs & stay in my nice warm bed under the covers. Brrr.

Hey everybody,

Today I made it to the gym, and finished up maxing me out for my new leg workout with my PT. Went pretty well. Still getting stronger he says, he was kind of surprised at how much strength I've gained since he first got me.
I ran in a different pair of running shoes, with a liquid bandage on my blister. Worked out fine, thankful for that. I hate blisters (the other running shoes I used and got the blister with are now banned, lol).

Food wise, done okay today. Nothing too exceptional there. I'm planning on going running tomorrow morning before I start my day. I think it's a good idea.

-Sam:)

I just loooveeeee working out my legs, because you always know someone's checking you out, honey. (Whether straight, gay, undecided... know what I mean?) hahaa! So does your leg work consist of squats, lunges and all that good crap? If so, I hope you aren't aching when you go for a jog tomorrow morning, doll. By the way, I think you're absolutely stunning. :D

-Sheryl

Ya. I love working out my legs. They sure ache for awhile but, it's so worth it. They are probably the part of my body that I am most proud of at the moment. My chest has come along way too. For my legs I have typically been doing:

Lots of lunges, right now I'm doing these ones where I bounce three times on each lunge.

Squats. I usually do them on a Smith machine with weights on it but, recently have been doing tons of ball squats and today I learned about what my trainer calls "sissie squats." Will probably start doing those too.

Calf raises, on the stairs, 15 per stair for 12 stairs I think. I usually do more though.

Lots of running on the treadmill. I shouldn't be too sore tomorrow when I run. Hopefully :)

Thanks for the stunning comment, ur so sweet. I'm planning on putting some pics up probably in Jan. I have some befores that people are going to need barf bags for, lol.

-Sam

Barf bags?!?! I'm sure we won't need those.

I can't wait to start working on my legs again, besides running... Tae-Bo is full of lunges, squats, and kicks, and it makes my legs feel great. Have a fabulous weekend!

Thx :)

I love working out my legs. I ran 4 miles yesterday, to start the day. It made me feel excellent for the rest of the day, so it was totally worth it.

I didn't make it to the gym today, I knew I had to work overnight tonite so I didn't want to make myself extra tired. Plus, I needed to sleep some during the day. Which brings me to tomorrow. I don't know if I will make it to the gym then either, because it closes at 4, and I will probably still be sleeping from when I get off in the morning....

Definitely plan on going on Monday though, and thru the next week. My trainer says he is going to show me my new core routine on Tues when we meet again.

Very cold and snowy here in Utah. What else should I expect, it's almost Xmas :)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

-Sam
