you can wait a year or two - if its not gone by then, surgery time sorry.
Theres no exercise that makes it go away.

I don't know how I missed this thread before. One day, if I'm feeling brave, I'll add my tummy pics to this. My legs are fine, thank goodness, but my stomach is really starting to get that saggy, wrinkly look. I'm glad my jeans hold it in, but so far no one has seen me naked like that. I'm kind of dreading it.

Help

Hey, so glad I'm able to find someone whos going thru the same thing. I lose 45 lbs and now my belly looks like this (3 months so far after I hit my goal, it has definitely shrinked in those 3 months)
Does it look really bad? do u think I'll need surgery or will it fade away in the next couple of months? are you doing any exercises in that area in specific? I'm 19/male

Wow 140 pounds is great!!! I've got atleast that to lose and the extra skin is something I'm scared of but I'll take it anyday over being this size. Hope all works out well for you, congrats!

I thank you for being brave enough to put up photos like that. I've lost 80lbs and I'm definitely starting to see the same effect on lower stomach, upper legs and arms. I still have another 60lbs to go to goal and it's concerning, but I think that loose skin is a small sacrifice that I have to make in order to be healthier and happier.

Thanks for posting these. I'd never really thought about the after effects. I must say though, I'd rather have a saggy belly and floppy thighs than the fat that's on them now. The longer this takes me, the more I fear it won't fix itself anymore.

There are no exercises you can do to get rid of it. Just time and then surgery if time doesnt deal to it in a year or two. Congrats on the loss though. you look like you lost more than 45lb though :)

Exactly, ive seen people go 'oh im scared of losing weight because ill get saggy skin'. Well i can tell you know that i would MUCH rather have the ugly saggy skin than the fat! heck the skin is even something to be proud of because people dont look and go 'ugh just another fat chick' but they go 'oh that looks yuck but wow she must have lost some serious weight!'

I know it is not always possible to get rid of all the sagging skin but I can tell you that exercise does help.

I am amazed at how much better my tummy looks since I have been doing abdominal exercises over the last 10 months.
Granted I only lost 35 lbs but my tummy although looser than I would like, is pretty much flat.

Considering that I am in my early 50's I would think that a younger person would have even better results from toning exercises.

I hate to say it but those sit ups were not what made the sag go away. It takes months to create stretched skin, just as it takes months for it to go away.
Sometimes things just take time to work themselves out, they will do it at a similar rate if you are exercising or not.

Sorry but I am pretty sure that exercise had a lot to do with it.

I really don't think my tummy would look the same as it does now if I had lost the weight & then just sat around for the last 10 months.

Actually I know. I have had this body for a long time & know from experience what type of results I get from just losing weight without the exercising.

feel free to believe whatever you want, you're entitled to your opinion. However feel free to also let me have my opinion and beliefs which may differ from yours due to many hours online doing research.
