Rox has lost 62 pounds....so far!

December 2011- 140lbs January 2007- about 200lbs

It's now about a year and a half since I started this weight loss journey. I'm happy to say that I'm maintaining and still enjoying my "new" life. I'm managing to keep my weight right at 140lbs and not vary by too much.

The good news is that being at a "normal" weight is totally awesome and amazing and I LOVE knowing that I look my best.

The bad news is that it's STILL not easy. I have to think about food/weight/diet/exercise a LOT. I still wish I could eat junk. I still would rather not work out. I guess I'm just not naturally thin. But I keep hanging in there because it's worth it!

I really want to encourage others to keep going and not give up. I can't even tell you how amazing it feels to make it to goal!

(That said, my personal life is still rather messed up. I'm still with my husband. He is refusing to consider divorce. Even talking about it makes him violent and crazy. But he does at least leave me free to go out a lot on my own. And I have lots of interesting adventures...)

Hi Rox! You're doing great! Never, never,EVER! Give up! You are loving yourself.

And that's the best thing you can do for yourself, your children, family and your friends.

God bless........... :-D

LoL! Thanks for the backhand compliment. I take my compliments any way I can get 'em!

As for my IRL mom- she's a real success story and I should give her a shout-out here! She struggled with her weight for many years. She was on and off diets throughout my childhood. She often lost weight, but then gained it back, plus some. (we've all been there- amirite?) But when she was 40, she lost over 100 lbs and got her petite frame down to 118 lbs- and kept if OFF. She is 65 today and is STILL maintaining!! In fact, she works out and looks totally awesome!

So, I feel confident for my future and look forward to reaching old age in a hot state:coolgleama:

Hey Twiist! Thanks so much! It's nice to see some of the "old-timers" around here!

I am indeed still around. There are recent pics and posts in my diary, if you care to go have a look.

I hope you are doing great, too!!!

Thank you so much! I wish I were younger and had decent cleavage....but I guess I'm doing the best I can with what I've got. LOL!

I know that the "before and afters" have always been my fave part of this forum. So inspiring!! I'm just very glad I can be a part of it now.

Keep on the way you have been and you will get here, my non-stalker friend! You've made so much progress- 140 lbs is just around the corner for you!!!

I couldn't resist putting these up! The first pic was taken in August of 2008 when I was visiting family in Germany. It's so hard to find photos from the years I was fat, as I was so good at hiding from cameras! I weighed about 200 lbs. And little did I know then that over the next 18 months I would gain 20 more pounds!

The second photo was taken today as I tried on a new skirt and some smashing new shoes that I just bought. I can't believe how fun it is to dress up now!!

Anyway...looking at the two photos, it's kind of hard to believe it is the same person. But both of them are me. I sure like the new me better:coolgleama:

Thanks so much!! You are always so sweet!

The shoes are a bit crazy, I admit...but I adore them. They were kind of an indulgence...but I'd had my eye on them at the mall for about a month and then they went on sale for half-price!! (The original price was 139 euros, so even half-off they were quite expensive from my point of view. But they are SO cute!!)

There is no way I could have worn them back when I weighed 220. High heels just put too much pressure on my feet. But now I can dance all night in totally impractical shoes. Big change!

BTW- when you get to goal, I expect lots of "before and after"s of you- the latter featuring crazy super-sexy clothes!!!

you truly look , are AMAZING!!!You are gorgeous and i must say i LOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE THOSE SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL DONE on ALL this amazing transformation!!!

Rox, you look incredible! I'm not sure how to say this without sounding like a complete creep, but I've been hanging around these forums for a while, and reading your posts has been incredibly inspiring, so thank you from a random lurker who dreams of accomplishing even a fraction of what you've managed. :3 (Seriously, I cannot get over how good you look! I would kill to have your figure and I think you've got kids who are older than me.) That skirt is super cute, too~
