Rose’s diary

Hey L-J can you believe I put on .8 (screams and pulls her hair out). I had 2 days this week where I went off the rails (Wednesday and Thursday) but I was back on the wagon Friday. TOM is a bad time for me but at least I didn’t start one week before I got them and the week I got them this month so things are looking up. Hey maybe im learning something lol.

Hey spelin01 thanks for dropping in. Yep it takes a while for me to learn but im getting there lol, thanks for the support.

Well Miss Scarlett how are you? The vibes didn’t do much good this week, im thinking they had a long way to travel so they should get here around Tuesday :D ;)

hey rose just popping in to say I hope you had a fun weekend, I'll bet the 0.8lb is just some cheeky water weight. Do what I do and see if you can pee it out hehehe!:D

Yes I know all about TOM. My stomach growls and growls. Hormones really suck!! I have to agree with Crunchie. Its fluid retention. You'll drop that .8, probably with a little bit extra.

Hey crunchie & L-J thankfully you were right it was just fluid I lost 1.8kg this week. Im a happy little vegemite. Im glad I stuck with the menu most of the week; I think it made all the difference. I have got 1.5kg to loose to get under the 100kg. Im getting excited. :D

Way to go rose. Thats fantastic. I always find if I can be disciplined, I usually lose some extra once my period starts. Cant wait for you to get under the 100kg mark. Thats a milestone. Just keep away from the teeth hehe.

When do you weigh yourself next?

I have my next weigh in on Tuesday, it will probably take me 3 weeks to get under the 100 but hell girl ive been working at it this long what’s another 3 weeks. Im really trying not to spook myself and I am feeling really good about it. It’s easier to stay away from the teeth now they have changed the flavor of them, there just not mint fresh anymore lol. Im off work for the next 2 days, im happy about that, so im off up to the shops today to see if there is anything else I can pick up for brad for fathers day. I hope this week has been good to you.

hi rosered, just found your new diary :)

congratulations on giving up smoking! how did you do it? my dad says 'just stop doing it, easiest thing in the world', his logic being that there is no effort involved - its kind of true :/

congrats also on your weight loss :)

Hi Rhonda Darling!! I've come home!

How are you doll?? How's work going??? Glad you've got a couple days off! Bet you need it! How's that finger of yours??

Love you girl! Glad your still rockin!

Hey sheidi sometimes I just want to kick myself for starting a new diary but for some silly reason I (thought) I needed a new start, were what I really needed was to read over what I had done and just kick my own butt a little. Oh well another lesson learnt lol. Omg giving up smoking… it wasn’t too bad though I have to let you in on a secret …first of all I went to hypnotist who was wonderful. I went through all the withdrawals but I didn’t crave the cigarette itself. I have to tell you Hun I thought I was going to go nuts the first 2 weeks. Now for the secret... I still have a cigarette if I go out with friends who are smoking and ive had a few drinks. It’s the one time that I just can’t say no but they have just brought in laws here that there is no smoking allowed where you have food and drinks so I would say it won’t be long and all my mates will have given up. I also put on 5 kg when I gave up but I have lost them all again now and im on my way to were I want to get to. Good luck mate.

Newbride it’s good to see ya Hun. I think for support baby this is the place to be.
Can you believe it mate I got called into work last night…not happy Jan… and I had a long shift, so much for days off. I have worked 10 days strait this fortnight. My finger is as good as it will ever get now, the doctor said it will always hurt because of the nerves I cut. But I can live with it. How have you been mate? I no you haven’t been having a good time of it. Is there anything I can do? Can you pm me your email, I have a new computer and brad has wiped just about everything I had on the old one. Be good to have a chat.

So Sad

Steve Irwin killed in freak accident
Monday Sep 4 14:00 AEST
Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter is dead after being stung by a sting-ray while filming a new TV series. (AAP)

By ninemsn staff writers

Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin is dead after being attacked by a stingray during the filming of a new TV series.

The 44-year-old's heart is believed to have been pierced by the stingray barb.

He was filming an underwater documentary at the Batt Reef about 32 nautical miles off Port Douglas when the accident occurred.

According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman, a Cairns ambulance chopper made an emergency flight to an island in the area just after 11am today.

An intensive care doctor and a paramedic attempted to revive the popular crocodile wrangler without success.

He was pronounced dead on the island, and his body is now being flown to Cairns.
Mr Irwin - known worldwide as the Crocodile Hunter - is famous for his enthusiasm for wildlife and his catchcry "Crikey!".

The father of two's Crocodile Hunter program was first broadcast in 1992 and has been shown around the world on cable network Discovery.

He's also starred in movies and has developed the Australia Zoo wildlife park, north of Brisbane, which was started by his parents Bob and Lyn Irwin.

It is really sad, hey? He had such a fantastic personality, and a lovely family. Feel so sorry for them.
I found it interesting that you regret not continuing you original diary. I considered starting a new one. But maybe thats not such a great idea. I cant keep starting new ones, just because I dont like whats in the old, and I feel like I sound like a broken record, so instead, I've tried to brighten up my old one with - yes - a different ticker:rolleyes: and a new avatar. Hope you are having a wonderful week, aside from the sad news about THE Crocodile Hunter.:(
Ps Just had a little laugh at your post to newbride. I was trying to think the other day what the name is that goes with the saying "Not happy...." The next day I remembered it was Jan:rolleyes: If only I'd kept up with your diary - there it is:)

that's clever about the smoking. i was sick last week and too tired to go and buy any, so i didn't smoke from tuesday afternoon to saturday night. then i went to friends for dinner who smoke and drink a LOT so we always end up over doing it. i was thinking i wouldn't mind that, just when i go out. i guess i have between 4-6 a day at the moment, which is a darn sight better than a packet day as i was having before (25). i'll keep trying :)

so sad about steve irwin. i barely knew who he was until a couple of years ago, but i loved his passion. i guess its kind of poetic that he left the world doing what he loved the most. very sad for his wife and kids..

Hey L-J I guess I thought with a new diary I would feel motivated again when the truth is you can’t feel 100% excited about this all the time. Lol funny but I miss my old one. Just keep plodding along Hun and you will be able to look back and see when you were excited and when you stall…its part of life and part of loosing weight. Lol you and ya ticker will do fine. I think the best way to brighten up your diary is with a positive mind and then I bet you will have positive results. Lol love (not happy Jan) is probably one of my favorite sayings but I think the meaning gets a bit lost on these guys as they wouldn’t have seen the adds…lol must think of these things before I commit them to post.

Do you no sheidi the hypnotist told me that it was harder for his patients who smoked just a couple of cigarettes a day to give up then it was for someone like me who used to smoke 60 + , so I don’t envy you mate. Im very happy that I don’t smoke unless im out, the smell and the taste is revolting but I still do it…bad habits die hard. I think mate when we REALLY want to give it away we will.

It is really sad about Steve; we have lost one of Australia’s biggest loveable dags. More sad news yesterday, we lost another well known Australian Peter Brock.

Brock was 'larger than life'
By 7News

Peter Brock is being remembered as a passionate man who will be sadly missed by the Australian motor sport community.
As tributes continue after Brock's tragic accident, many of those who knew him said he was a great competitor until the end.
This afternoon, Brock was killed in a rally racing accident in Western Australia.
Channel Seven's Sunrise weather man Grant Denyer was competing in Targa West Tarmac Rally with Brock and said it was an exceptionally dark day to lose such a shining light of the sport.
"He was in a different stage of his life where he wasn't racing V8 Supercars any more," Denyer said.
"He loved the social aspect; there was a great chin wag with all the other competitors."
The West Australian Police Major Crash Squad said Brock's car collided with a tree after going off a road near Gidgegannup, in Perth's north-east at about 11:50am (WST).
Prime Minister John Howard said Brock towered above Australian motor sport in the 1970s and '80s and drove with such precision.
"He held more pole positions and won more races than any other driver since the inception of the Australian Touring Car competition," Mr Howard said.
"Peter will be sadly missed by his fans, the motor sport fraternity and the many people and groups he supported."
Similar sentiments were echoed by Minister for Sport, Senator Rod Kemp, who offered his sincere condolences to the family of the "King of the Mountain."
"Peter Brock was a dominant force in his sport for the past three decades and it is a great tragedy that he should die taking part in the sport that he loved," Senator Kemp said.
It was day two of the rally, which began in Perth yesterday.
The drivers in the rally will hold a minute's silence in Perth tonight to honour the Australian racing legend.
His co-driver Mick Hone was injured in the accident and was rushed to hospital
Hone's son, Justin said Peter's death has come as a shock.
"To hear my father is okay, you feel good for that but so awful for Peter and his family," he said.
Brock's wife of 28 years, Beverley - whom he separated from last year - said motor racing was his life and Peter died doing what he loved.
"There was a part of him that always pushed the barrier, that never wanted to grow old," she said.
"He didn't like to deal with stuff, so this way I guess he goes with a bang.
"He is in people's minds an amazing icon of Australian sport."
Beverley said he died doing something he was larger than life and nothing came before his racing.
"We had 28 years together and in that 28 years it came before everything and, to be fair, the kids felt that from time to time," Beverley said.
"I essentially gave up my life to be there with him to make it as easy as possible for him. He always said he could never have done it without support."
Fellow racing icon Bob Jane said the motor racing world was reeling after the fatal crash and people who have contacted him were noticeably upset.
"People have been crying on the phone," he said.
There is no doubt Peter Brock was Australia's greatest and best known motor sport personality.
His record nine Bathurst 1000 wins earned him the title "King of the Mountain" and it was a title he wholeheartedly deserved according to Formula 1 world champion, Alan Jones.
"He was a great competitor," he said.
Brock retired from full-time driving in 1997.
Victorian Premier Steve Bracks has offered the family a state funeral.
The 61-year-old is survived by his three children, Jamie, Robert and Alexandria.

Thats my girl! Keep posting!

Yea, its so sad about Steve. I really liked him. He always reminded me of a little boy trapped in a man's body.

Hope your well hun!! Miss getting your emails!

So this is where the really cool chicks hang out eh ?? You'd think I'd know this by now since I 'live' here lolol. I can try the cool thing, not sure I can pull off the chick part. Besides, I doubt you wanna waste your day teaching me how to dress in drag :p
