Risty's Diary (Christina)

Hey everyone, it's been crazy. We've finally moved everything out of the other house into my grandparents house but now we have to unpack. AH! I hate moving, but once it's over it'll be worth it. Just a note, I don't have the internet and won't have it until the 31st. I'm using my mom's computer right now.

The cleanse is called the colo-vada plus cleanse. It's through RBC Life Sciences or something along that line. You can google it and it'll come up.

Smurf - It was him who had wanted to try it a long time ago and so I finally said that I wanted to do it again and that he could try it with me. So he did and I don't think he'll do it again. But like you said, the first time you do it, is the worst because of all the crap in the body, but doing it again is less worse! I didn't find it too bad but I've done it before, he had a harder time of it because it was his first time.

This week will be so bad for me, weight loss wise. It's been so crazy and without having a kitchen we went out to eat quite a bit. So I know my food has been horrible. Of course the day we move into the house my grandma makes tons of little carrot muffin/cake goodness... AH! And she bought pizza cause she didn't know what to make us. So yeah my eating has been terrible. I haven't been exercising though moving is exhausting however it's not enough to offset what I've been eating. So I'm worried this week of a gain! Hopefully I can get a lot of unpacking done today and get a couple days exercise before tuesday!

I can guarantee you we'd be in divorce court if my husb tried that cleanse. He has zero self control and it's very hard to keep myself under control with him around Though he's gained a load of weight since we met, it sits well on him as he's got a rugby build and he doesn't have a huge gut. I think not drinking much contributes to that as much as diet for men.

I hope the move goes okay and you can find your grounding again food/exercise wise. I know how stressful moving can be dieting/exercising notwithstanding!

Good luck and let's hope you don't gain and maybe even lose a few ounces!

Good luck with the move Christina :x

You never realize how much crap you have until you have to move it all. Truth.

Good Job on the cleanse! I'm interested in the brand you are trying! All cleanses are diff = some work, some don't. Sounds like your's is a winner!!! (the one I tried wasn't a winner :-(

I did a 30day cleanse in March - I didn't do the full 30days. After about 20days I knew the pills weren't doing anything really. My eating had been really good for the couple months before and I had been eating alot of fiber and veggies, so I don't think there was all that much to 'clean' out..lol. I did the SAME cleanse a couple years ago when I was eating crap and it worked much better - I'm guessing the success was mainly due to changing eating habits back then.

Moving is fun (well not that actual 'moving' part, but being in a new place is fun! I would find it hard to resist Italian cooking! --- The main reason I would find it hard to resist is because someone else cooked it for me - ahhh the convenience..lol

Hey everyone! So the move went well, still have to empty the shed though, but we needed our own shed first before we could do that. About 70% of our stuff is unpacked. Unfortunately during the easter long weekend we were planning on finishing it off but two things happened:

#1 - we bought the shed and assembled it... it took 9 freaking hours to assemble! We didn't even stop to have lunch! We started at 10:30am and stopped just past 7:30pm.... it was ridiculous! So many little pieces, so many screws... ARG! The instructions were terrible and things weren't labeled either so that didn't help. So there goes that day.

#2 - We both got sick. So we have a cold and it sucks. So not only have I not finished unpacking, I haven't exercised either. First I had no time with working and moving and now I'm working and sick. So hopefully I get better quick.

Since this whole moving/sick thing I've went up 2.8 lbs. We ate out quite a bit due to no kitchen and not exercising didn't help... still not helping! So hopefully I'll get back into things when this cold is gone.

I'm really thinking I should join the gym with my sister and go with her, she goes all the time. I think it would help to have someone to go with too. She actually asked me to join on Monday and go in the morning with her, but I was not well at all. So maybe I'll join next week, or the weekend... see how I feel by then.

Yeahhh, join the gym! I really dreaded joining but I adore it now :D

Sorry to hear you're poorly..Makes it so much harder to be healthy, I know. When I'm ill I just want to veg out on the sofa watching bad movies and eating myself into a coma. Just make sure you get plentyyy of fluid so at least you're getting enough water, even if you can't do so well with the eating and exercise.

Feel better soon!! <3

IMO do it! Having someone to go with makes a world of difference! I know my roomate has pushed me to get off my lazy butt and go to the gym a few times when I would have rather just watched TV. :smilielol5: Anything to help me stay accountable gets a thumbs up!

I hope all is well and life is treating you like royalty! Haven't seen you around here for a while!

I hope your having a GREAT day!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry I've been away for a while. It's been crazy with moving, cleaning, helping my sister move, helping her clean, trying to unpack, going on vacation and then having my mother-in-law go to the hospital (she's ok though!)

I have been neglecting myself and my goals which is also why I haven't come on. However, it's time to stop doing that and get back to it.

I did join the gym with my little sister and we've started going :) I'm going to try to get my other sister to join too so that if one can't go maybe the other will ;) I also just got my husband to put my bike back together and I'm going to see how long it'll take me to bike to the gym, that way, if they can't go, I still can.

I started back running when I went to the gym (only did it twice so far, but it's a start). I've done a few zumba classes, tried a spin class and a kickboxercise class. I like them all, especially zumba! The gym also includes access to the pool, haven't tried that yet.

So that's where I'm at and I'm glad to be back :)

Welcome back! I thought it had been extra quiet around here lately :p

Looks like you picked up right where you left off and are keeping ACTIVE! Keep up the good work, glad to see you back!

Great Idea joining the gym!!! I love going to the gym, I use to not like it - but after I started forcing myself to go consistently and I started seeing results I started to enjoy going and when I don't go now I feel bad about because I've worked so hard to get where I am that not going is step backwards.

You'll feel that way too and you'll look forward to going. You get to go out and you get a wide variety of exercise equipment to use and you have someone to go with! WHOO HOO!! You're set!

The trick is - on a day you don't want to go -tell yourself you do want to go (even if it's a lie) and then don't think about it anymore, just go through the motions of getting your stuff and going, once you're there it's easy.

That's great you've joined a gym and have someone to go with. Hope your other sister signs up too, that way if one can't go, the other one can.

Where I go swimming, it's a small community and I know or at least am familiar with the other members, so I don't feel all alone. When I feel my leg can handle it, I do the water aerobics class and we all know each other. :hurray:

Andy - Are you saying I'm loud??? LOL... I so am!

Downtown - I don't think she'll join cause she hates spending money, however she'll buy random crap online... lol

MJB - Thanks!!!

Obscure - That totally works (telling yourself you want to get and get into the motions). I find that if I get dressed in my workout clothes even though I don't want to work out, I'll just get dressed in them and because I do that I figure well, I'm dressed for it, might as well workout. lol

Today - Well, I have been SOOOOO distracted lately. I just haven't been able to focus on my weight loss. It didn't help that my sisters got sick and could go to the gym with me (they're my ride) but now my hubby is sick and I'm not feeling well either. I think I'm catching what they had and let me tell you, it's horrible! It takes you out for at least a week and I feel my throat hurting and feeling just drained.

I really wish I could just get rid of my brain for a while! I need to not focus on what I have been focusing on and focus on my weight loss. It's hard to explain! I've just been spending so much time on other things that I'm neglecting my weightloss. I have to try to set the other things to the back of my mind and start putting weightloss to the front. I'm just having a hard time with that.

You have to be your priority, Risty. It's hard to do when you have other things on your mind, but what normal person doesnt have other stuff on their mind! They'll always be a reason or an excuse about why you cant go to the gym, or why you cant eat healthy--But you need to step up and, in the immortal words of Bob from Biggest Loser, finish what you started!
You've come too far to slip up now, lady!
