Risty's Diary (Christina)

Hey Risty, that's great about the swimming and walking around, playing around is the best exercise ever :) The townhouses sound nice and it seems as though it's a great option for everyone. I hope you have fun cycling around town!

Howdy Risty,
Wow new bike!!I need to break down and get 1 because I used my hubbys and rode for 3 miles and my "AZZ "killed me for 3 days str8,it has to be those darn BOY seat's! Swimming is so awesome and great fun exersice I feel like a fish once I get in I don't want to leave lol.
Keep up the good work,Tammy

Hey Risty!

I've been looking through your diary, trying to catch up on all I've missed since I've been ill.

I hate the heat too - it was hot this last weekend and I felt so irritated. Thankfully the gym was nie and cool so I regained my sanity. I was born in a hot tropical country, so I'm not sure why I can't the heat - I love swimming though. Valuable exercise, cooling down, and you get to have fun - the perfect combination..

How do you feel after surgery? I hope you're still taking it easy - it was only a couple of weeks ago so keep on with the walking..

Hi Beautiful; Thanks for all your support through my latest ordeal. Gaaaaawd.
Great deal on the bike...may you put many a thousand mile on it. I could never get used to bike helmets, but when I buy my bike I guess I'll have to. Maybe they look a bit more spiffy now. lol

If you are complaining about the heat, try living in florida :p

The worst part was, when the hurricanes hit us, back in '05, we lost power for a total of 18 days.

The worst part about losing the power was number 1: no air conditioning. And number 2: no light for the damn bathroom, grrr! (i'll like to see you use the bathroom in pitch dark :p)

I hope you had a good weekend.

Hey there Risty.. just stopping by to see how you are coming along and especially to say hi! Hope you have a fantastic week! :D

Bruce

Hey Ritsy!

Congrats on the new bike. I wish I were close enough to do that. But its 35 miles one way for me. You'll be over the plateau in no time with the biking!

Risty you must be loving your new bike, your getting such a great workout riding it everywhere. I hope that the cleanse is going alright, but I would think you would feel a bit weak? Cripe I do if I don't eat for 4 hours, let alone what you're doing. I hope you're doing well and that you're having a great day.

Hey everyone!

I was planning on biking to work this week but the weather went from really hot to pouring rain! It's raining right now. So I'll wait until next week.

About my cleanse I believe it helped me break my plateau, I lost 5 pounds, but I'll wait a few days and see if it stays with my regular eating and if it does, then I'll change my ticker ;)

Anna - You don't need to thank me for the support, that's what I'm here for! :D If you get a bike, definately get a helment, you never know what can happen.

Sara - It was 4 days of not eating, not hours, lol. I didn't feel weak at all though. I did cheat one night and eat because we were out at a friends and everyone brought food and it looked soooo tasty. Other than that though I did well. I was able to eat yesterday and my bf bought chocolate bars and I didn't have too many cals yesterday so I was like yeah I can fit that in! I was so jittery from all the sugar! lol... It was way too much for me.

Adam - A lot of americans think because I'm in Canada that it doesn't get hot, but they're wrong. It can get very hot here. It can get well over 100 here. When I was in Phoenix, AZ they were having the same temps as we were here and they just wouldn't believe me just because we live up here :p But I do agree that no AC and no lights would suck, lol.

Rho - Yeah I have been taking it easy, but I will get back to my CK later this week :) I hope it's not raining at lunch so I can go on my walk today, if not, I might try my DDR tonight.

Tammy I think bike seats hurt your butt period. However a nice new seat would be way less bad. Mines a nice gel one and it's much better than an older bike seat that's for sure!

SoontobeMrs - It's too bad you're too far to bike to work. However you could just go on bike rides after work or on the weekends and whatnot :)

Yay!! 5lbs lost! Plateau's really annoying, isn't it? I'm so happy for you! My aim right now is to get into the 100's..

What on earth is DDR? It sounds like some punishing form of exercise, which wouldn't surprise me....

Risty that's AWESOME! 5 pounds! Woman that's amazing! I'm so glad you're feeling up to exercising again, those pounds are going to stay off. I'm sorry about the rain though, it's a bummer when the weather postpones your plans.

I think DDR is that arcade game that is now a sort of video game that you can buy and play at home. You try and do the footsteps in time to the beat or the rhthym it shows or whatever. haha I've never played it I'm not sure, but it looks like fun and I'm sure it gets your heart-rate going. Also I could be wrong but I don't know, Risty will have to explain better! I hope you have a beautiful day despite the rain Risty.

Howdy RISTY,
WOW Congrats on breaking your platue (5lbs)thats

natural cushioning of my own lol.Have a great day and RAIN is a good thing atleast for us we haven't had rain since April and yesterday it finally rained during the day,Tammy

arg better hot than wet! ive had to pull my bike apart and clean it from all the rain and filth off the road messing up my brakes. Also i noticed some rust on some of the cogs :/

5 lbs damn girl !!! Excellent...I hear ya abt the weather *BLAH* how depressing hey...beautifula nd sunny and fools us to think it is summer and now rain rain rain - good old b.c weather - so what did you do to cleanse yourself???

Hey Christina,

Just wanted to say hi and hope you have a lovely day! I can't 'weight' for your weigh-in.. :D

First I have to confess my horrible horrible eating yesterday! My sis, her bf, my bf and I were all watching anime last night so I bought junk food... yes... I did. I bought doritos and ice cream. I ate SOOOO many doritos and had a bowl of ice cream. I feel bad because I swear, I ate soooo many doritos and I really didn't need to, I just couldn't stop once I started, it's nuts!

On the plus side I planned out my suppers for the week and so my eating has been good otherwise, including supper, and that in itself is something I'm proud of. My biggest problem was supper and not planning so then we would make bad things or go out to eat. So think week it's been awesome! I'm going to preplan every week's suppers! Now to work on the stupid junk food while watching movies or anime with fam and friends... lol

I didn't weight myself this morning because I'm scared I gained weight from last night's.... incident... lol. I'll change my ticker to the weight I lost from my cleanse and I'll try and maintain and lose more!

The cleanse I did was from these natural products my family is into. It was this whole package thing. It's from Royal Bodycare Life Sciences (long name, I know.... hehe) and the cleanse is called Program Two Colo-Vada. It's a two week program where the first week you take vitamins morning and night to draw toxins and whatnot from the body to the colon. Then for 4 days you have your fluid diet with vitamins in the morning and night (so that you have you nutrients you need). You also put this powder stuff into juice and drink that 4 times a day. The pouches have clay in it and the clay expands and it helps make you feel full but more importantly it abosorbs all the toxins that were brought to the colon and then....well you know what happens to it, it goes bye bye... lol. Then the last 3 days you take your vitamins morning and night to replenish the body of good bacteria and giving you more nutrients.

So that's basically what the cleanse I did was. It works very well. I think I'll do it twice a year, or at least once a year just keep up with being healthy, give an extra boost to that cause!

Now for my goals Keep planning suppers to avoid horrible eating. Avoid temptations of junk food, especially when having company over. Getting back into my exercises (cardio kickboxing, walking/biking to work, going on walks during my lunch hour...weather permitting). I want to look awesome for #1 my boyfriends family reunion end of September. #2 - (more short term) my sister's b-day end of July.

Holy that will be hard but it must be done! Wish me luck!

Hey Risty, I'm sorry about your night last night (I binged a little too last night) but I have to say that it's totally hard not to eat like that when your friends or fam indulge. So I say, brush it off, and focus on the positive such as your awesome meal plans. Planning supper is a great idea, and it's going to help get you back into that schedule. With all of your exercise options, you're going to drop even more pounds. YOU ARE ALMOST IN THE 150's!!! That deserves a party :)

You have set some great goals that you're going to be able to achieve, the hardest part is working out how you're going to make it happen, which you've done. :) You're going to be looking totally hot for July and September!
