When you make a smoothie you can make it into whatever consistency, and I make mine like one of a milkshake, however if you wanted it less than that, just add more liquid. But when you have the whey powder with just milk or water, it's that consistency which is why I like the chocolate by itself better it's like a really yummy chocolate drink, (especially when used with milk) hehe. You could also make it with crushed ice (like a slurpee kinda ice) and it makes it thicker and awesome. But if you're making a smoothie with frozen fruits then that's the best for thickness!
 
well the milk i use is like water consistency anyway because its made from oats. but the crushed ice idea is brill. i think it would be a much more benficial snack for me than some of the garbage ive been shovelling down my throat recently :eek:

OMG, I just wrote the longest thing every and because I took so long it made me sign in again and it screwed up and the post didn't post.... AHHHH! Here it goes again, I'll try to make it quicker :p

Ok so my measurements didn't go so well. I lost half an inch on my tummy and chest, the rest stayed the same expect my hips went up an inch and a half and my thighs went up half an inch. So I dunno what that's about, according to their scale I lost a couple pounds, so I'm confused.

My fitness portion went very well. I couldn't do any full push ups, just knee ones when I first started. My testing got done late so by that time I was able to do 1 full push up and 31 knee ones in one min. On my test yesterday I did 15 full push ups and 33 knee ones in one min! So MUCHLY improved! My sit ups went from 74 in a min to 96! And my flexibility went from 23.5 inches to 28 inches! So I know I'm fitter and stronger for sure, and I think that's just as important as losing the weight.

That happens to me sometimes too, and then I can never remember everything.

Congratulations Risty, that is so wonderful. I knew your results were going to be amazing! You have improved so much!!!! I too am confused about the measurements...did the same person measure you both times? It could be a discrepancy there, but either way, whatever, your fitness level is what matters, like you said. I'm really happy you were able to have a lovely anniversary with your boyfriend, that's sweet. The food sounds delicious, that's great you were able to indulge a bit. Have a great night :)
 
Hey Risty. I think lukewarm may be right, doing measurements accurately isn't an easy thing and one person may pull tighter or take the measurement from a different spot on the same body part. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I've done high days during most weeks so I wouldn't worry about that extravagant meal either. You deserve it and it might even help jump start your plateau. I'm not sure the body likes it when we're TOO strict. Of course the day after a high day is met with a high scale day as well. Be prepared for that, but it doesn't mean too much except extra bloat and undigested food.

Thanks for the shake ideas, I had 2 today and it really kept my appetite in check. Sometimes I seem to be constantly hungry and this really curbed that feeling for today.
 
I have a half day at work today so I went and did my CK this morning. I like to get it done in the morning so I don't have to do it at night during supper time. It was a good class, very tiring.

Yeah I am very happy about the fitness improvements and I hope by the last testing my measurements will catch up!
 
That's so great that you're able to get your workout done in the morning! I'm STILL having issues with that. I always do it last minute, before I go to bed, and it doesn't make sense. It means I shower twice a day, I'm wasting water, time, sleep, clean towels (haha)...I need to get motivated like you are and do it when I wake up. I can't wait to see the next round of pictures! Your measurements will absolutely reflect your hard work by your last testing.

Hey Risty, keep on doing what you're doing. Those CK classes seem really hardcore! The whey protein shakes really worked like a charm :). I had them with water and they were so filling. I'll be keeping those up for a while. Take care sweetie :).
 
Hi Risty; I don't measure myself because I'm too lazy. I figure if you eat healthy and exercise...it'll all work out. Interestingly enough...my boobs get super tiny when I loose weight but when I measure, I'm still 37 inches...but it's my circumference. With all your hard workouts, even when you don't want to...you will see payoff!

Hey Risty I hope you had a beautiful day, and I wanted to tell you that no, the classes offered at my racquetclub are plain kick-boxing classes, no cardio involved :( but I'm sure it'd still be interesting. I trip over everything though, I'm rather clumsy, I don't think I have the balancing ability required for that type of thing. Have a great night. ;)
 
hehe go go on the measurements. The gain is either muscle or you were inadvertantly flexing.
I measure every few weeks/month usually.

Good on you for tolerating the shakes, i cant stand them and ive tried everything. I generally tolerate the better taste and more calories of the protein bars.

Yeah who knows about the measurements but I'm gonna work hard and hope for better for 5 weeks from now!

I almost missed my resistance training class for watching Miami Ink last night, but at the last minute I made myself go, lol.

Wishes - I bet you'd like my strawberry/mango vanilla protein powder smoothie! It doesn't taste like the powder at all! It's yummy. I'd definately rather have one of those than a protein bar, lol.

Lukewarm - you should just give the kickboxing a shot anyways, it's so fun to punch and kick things! And that in itself is a good workout!

I eat alot of chciken and turkey and egg beaters daily so I am hoping
thats enough protien,I have some special K high protien bars that taste
pretty good probally because they are peanutbutter lol.
Is there a such thing as too much protien??Just curious.Have anice day Tammy
 
Morning Risty!! I've been meaning to tell you that my sons love playing WOW and they are somewhat addicted to it on the weekends. Also, I read in Luke's diary today that you also watch Miami Ink, were you not in shock when Cat got booted, I cried when they showed her tearing up at the end, I think she's a bad ass women who can tattoo like no other. What I was really excited about was at the end, they brought up that blurb about started LA INK, YEAH!! I wonder if Chris will follow her, he seems a bit pissed. Well, enough blah, blah, I hope your day is a good one, and I'll try and check in later tonight when I have more time!!
