Renewing my sense of worth. Again.

Its been a VERY long time since I've been on here... not quite sure why, tho I'll be completely honest in saying that when I'm not involved with this site, I'm generally not on the wagon, lol. Unfortunately for me, even after retaining some great habits(ei: no pop or fast food) I have STILL managed to keep gaining weight. I've recently become aware of how aweful I'm letting myself get again, and I refuse to put myself through it twice in a lifetime. So, time to hop on the wagon, and rejoin the world I miss :) (which would be smaller clothes and less huffing and puffing, lol!)

This has been quite a year for me- lots of ups and downs, and mannn- when the ups are up, they are UP, but then again, when the downs are down, they are way down there. So, heres to making sure the new year is a more STABLE year, hahaa! One of my goals is to be on here at LEAST once aday, posting an entry. I need to keep myself accountable, and while I hope to be supportive to everyone else, I can't say I'll have all the time in the world to do as much as I have in the past... I tried to get on this site a few days ago and it said it was expired! I coulda cried. Its the only forum I've felt comfortable on (yeah yeah, how can one NOT be comfy online??) and I wanna stick to it.

First day, first entry, complete :)
 
Way to get back on the wagon! Being accoutable really helps in this battle. What kind of weight loss goals do you have? How much do you have to lose? I look forward to reading more in your journal. Isn't it so easy to get off track - it's too easy really. One day at time is my motto and it's working so far, not every day is great and not every day is horrible so it's kinda balancing out. Welcome back!:waving:

Plan for now: counting calories and working out five to six days per week. Basically- bustin ass and hoping to see the results!

I'd like to lose 55lbs, but overall would LOVE to lose 85. I'm pretty confident that it can be done- just gotta put some elbow grease into it, lol.

Sooo, just got off work, gonna relax a bit, then head to the gym to get my sweat onnnn. I have way to many smaller clothes BEGGING to be worn again, hahaha!

Countin calories works for me. I am doin 1800 a day.
Bustin ass is even better!

I can't believe that it was ONE YEAR ago, already that we saw each other for the Vegas Challenge!!!...Insane huh!?!?!....I am really happy to see that you want to continue loving yourself for better health, and Jess, YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL inside and out, and You deserve SUCCESS!!!!....

Ahhhh, a day off :) This is my first day off in about three weeks, so I am TOTALLY enjoying the crap out of it! Well, lol, not entirely- I'm cleaning, so blahhh to that. Updating my playlists for workouts on my zune- go gettta. lolll. right.

Anyways- Alta! I KNOWWWW! I can't believe its been a year. Time flies, fershur. I'm going back to Vegas in Feb/March-ish for my sisters 21st, so I'd like to be hotter than last time, lol. Feel free to meet me there :D

Okie dokie, gonna finish some shit up at the house, POSSIBLY go out tonight(no worries on empty calories- to broke to drink!!) and then hit the gym hardcore tonight :) Kinda amped about it, which is very odd....
 
Sooo. I did NOT in fact make it to the gym last night. :( We did end up going out, did a whole lotta dancing(so theres somethin, yeah?? LOL) but I did some boozin. Ugghh. Regardless, todays been awesum- got a whole lotta shiz done in my house, gonna eat supper, watch Dexter, and then off to the gym, hopefully to sweat the booze calories off, hahaha!

I hate hate hatttteeee the weather tho, right now. Because its soo cold, tons of snow. Ugh, I don't even wanna leave my house at all, so that always causes problems for getting me into the gym :rolleyes: I think I may start scheduling my time at the gym, but that I'm not sure on yet...

Ugggg. Well, its 230am, just got home from the gym. Was seriously* planning on going a heck of a lot earlier, but lo and behold, passed out on the couch watching tv, lol. Lame, I know. Anyway, I thought about just staying home and "working out harder the next few days to make up for it" psh. I know thats a joke, therefore I KNEW I had to go. I haven't left my house alllll day, so I get out there, it is so.cold. We've definately had worse* winters in Montana, but its 1f and a negative wind chill out there... brrrr. So, I had to scrape my windows, give my car a minute to warm up, and then had to get gas before I finally got to the damn gym. Effff! Didn't think I was gonna regain use of my hands, lol! But alas, I made it. Did a little bit of weights, then half hour on the cross trainer, and just under 2.5miles. I'm a little embarrassed, to be honest... Back when I was sooo good at working out all the time and doing hours of cardio, I could get a mile done on the cross trainer in about 10 minutes... I've got some catching up to do, fershur.

Just glad I did it :) If I'm able to drag my butt out the door in the freeeeezing temps, I'm pretty sure there isn't a lot that can seriously* keep me from gettin it done.

Mylissa- you and me lady! We are doing this TOGETHER. By the time you come for the visit next year, we're gonna be down some pounds and lookin great, no quitting! :)

Good Luck Jess! I just read over your dairy and you sound like a very exciting person to keep a check on. I am just starting my weight loss journey and am very excited about watching my life and my body change. So good luck again and I wish you well.

Aww, thanks :) its always nice to get support, even if its just a quick hello, its nice to see people are keepin up on ya :) I hafta agree- this is probably the most excited I've been about diet and exercise in a very long time, so heres to all of us!! :D

Uggh, I know! I was super proud of myself for getting in there, even tho it DID hurt my sleep a little. I can't make excuses every time I turn around- the only person it hurts in the long run is me. I always read your journal and try to do some of your workouts. OUCH. Yeah, I think it may be a while til I'm as killer at as you are :)
 
Ohhh Jeeeez. Today has been such a long day... It didn't help that I since I worked out so late last night, that I didn't get to bed till really late. I'm a little beat. May take a teensy snooze for rejuvenation purposes, lol. Work drug on and on and on. Crap. Just wanna be rich and not hafta deal with it anymore, ahaha!

Food so far has been good today:
b- turkey sausage bowl with one slice pepperjack- 300cal, 2fiber
16oz water

snack- fresh veggies(celery, green pepper, radishes) with hummus- 200c, 1f (a little surprised that hummus didn't have more fiber. weird.)

L- healthy choice gen. tsos chicken- 320c, 4f

snack- fiber/antioxidant bar- 120c, 9f

S- homemade pita pizza :) with one pita loaf, 17 turkey pepperoni slices, 2 slices pepperjack cheese, a few jalapenos, and 2 tbsp pizza sauce- 370c, 3f


Snack edited in later, hopefully somethin delisssh. * Decided on a small salad- just lettuce with a few carrots and radishes,a few croutons for crunch, and small amount of honey mustard dressing. - 180ish cals, 2f??

Gym tonight: Gonna try to up my levels on cardio, only about two on resistance, and one on stride. GOtta work my way up again. Uggh.

Off to take a teensy nap, be back later!

Ohhh yeah. Took a nap, feelin super refreshed, eating some salad, and then to the gym :) Feeling some soreness(good* soreness) from last night, yayyy! Love the feeling when you know you worked for it.

On another, more AWEFUL note, its now -17f outside. WITH a negative windchill. Eff my life. Freezing. :(

bahahaha, NORMALLY I like it a little on the cooler side(74f is PERFECTION*) because if ya get chilled, its totally easier to warm up then cool down. However, I'm screwed either way here, cuz you are in crazy heat wave mode, and I'm in the North Pole mode. Psh. No happy medium! :rolleyes:
 
Home from the gym! Had a pretty great workout I think :) I decided that focusing more on the intensity than the miles I do would be better, and I think it was. Ended up doing 48 minutes on the cross trainer, 3.2miles. Got some sweat goin, yeahhhh!
Tried doing some squats, but my knee felt like it was gonna fall off. Hurts pretty bad, but ONLY when I do sqauts and similar stuff... Did some crosscable stuff, tricep pushdowns. Did a littttle bit on abs, but I'm not really worried bout abs just yet.

After workout snack: lofat ricotta cheese with strawberries- 75cal, 1f

Didn't put in my water earlier either, but I drank 116oz. Umm yeah. Had to pee like every thirteen seconds. Redic. Whatevv tho, water IS good for ya :D
