realworksuks is cutting for the summer.. progress pics thread

Hmmmmm, might be kinda fun.

What do you think Focus? You and me FTW?

I don't see why not. We're both cutting until the end of the summer, and then bulking, aren't we? Similar height. Similar goals. Similar fearsome pumpitude, lol.

We shall be the righteous standard by which others are judged! :D:beerchug:

starting weight = 180

Current weight = 176

weight lost this week = 1 pd

total weight lost = 4 pd

Here are my starting pictures again..

Week 1

This week's pics:

Not a lot of progress at all, most of the days were in a calorie surplus... I got pretty lazy and was just eating quite a lot. Lots of the days I couldn't do my cardio outside due to weather, so it was maintance or a bit over.. I did lose another .25 inches off my waist tho, so that's a good thing.

I will get back on track next week.

week four update... time to make some changes!

not much progress... I weighed in today at 175.. so that's only 5 pounds lost in a month.

I am going to have to lower calories I guess.

Wait, in the start picture you look fatter then the pic of the end of the page, why is that again? I dont really understood.

Alright... This cut went on longer than I wanted it to, because I was slacking off so much and didn't pay enough attention to diet and especially cardio.. In the last two weeks or so I have been doing cardio 3-4 times per week and maintaining a calorie defecit. I have been getting the results that I wanted.

BUT! In two weeks I am going to be done.

Here is a comparison from when I started to where I am at today...!

STARTING Weighed in at 185 here.. my peak weight in my life. Just got off of a long bulk...

TODAY, 164 pounds upon waking Took these yesterday after work when I took off my shirt I was like "I haven't taken progress pictures for like 4 months... I should do that.."

WOW! Looking VERY good!!! Awesome work!!!

But you need to learn how to flex properly ;) That makes a huge difference in how your musculature appears.

Soo... you think you did good, huh?

Actually, you did not.. You did GREAT. Awesome stuff. I think you got this whole bulk / cut routine down well. The end result looks great, definitely an improvement.

Thanks for your comments guys..!

Yeah I am 5 10 I think..? Either 5 9 or 5 10.

After looking back at some of these pictures that I took of myself, I don't think I am going to bulk so carelessly ever again.

I got way too fat by not monitoring my food intake and just pigging out.. ha. It was mostly all healthy food, but next time I am going to make sure I don't eat THAT much... just try to gain an optimal amount of muscle while reducing fat gain as much as possible.

.. I'll see how that goes in two weeks! Should be a lot of fun. I got my brother into lifting four months ago and I have been cutting the entire time. It will be fun to get in there and break records and gain mass with him!

The diet always teaches the lesson--the most.

Until my dying breath, I will not stop preaching that its the most important.

You live and learn.

Now take what you have learned.

And, build the body of your friggen dreams.

Best wishes

Right on man.

I workout with my brother as well. We are same height and similiar build and strength. It is a great setup as we know each other soo well and out workout weight is about the same except my legs are a little stronger as he had ACL surgery done several years ago. Other than that, we push each other and don't have to change the set position or the weight much at all; which is AWESOME. Great way to talk to your brother and get to know each other more and develope more bond as well. Remember the old cliche: blood is thicker than water.

Well done man! I hope to achieve some kickass results like that as my fat comes off. The end of a bulk sucks, huh? :D
