realworksuks is cutting for the summer.. progress pics thread

I just finally got the motivation to get serious about cutting for the rest of the summer. I am hoping that putting pictures up will keep me motivated..

SO! I am 180 pounds in the mornings right now, I would like to lose a solid 10 pounds of fat by the time summer is over. If I had to guess my bodyfat I would say it's 15-20%. My waist is about 35 inches.

I plan to post progress pictures weekly.

This is my fitday account if anybody wants to check what I am eating..

I plan to keep the protein high and keep carbs low on rest days and medium to high on training days. I will probably get more serious about the carb cycling if I hit a plateau.

I will be doing an upper/lower split type of routine 4-5 days per week.

Upper day will be
vertical push
vertical pull
horizontal push
horizontal pull
and whatever else I feel like putting in here.. maybe some isolation if I feel like it, etc.

Lower day will be:
Quad dominant main movement (squat or deadlift)
posterior chain movement
unilateral movement
calves
abs

so, onto the starting pics..! They are somewhat embarrassing..

I use to be this little skinny dude back in January 157 pounds..




Now I am a lot bigger but I gained a good amount of fat with it, I am not regretting it one bit, but it's time to get rid of the extra fat... once I cut this off I am hoping that I will look real good..

It definitely looks like you've gained a lot of muscle along with the fat. I think you'll be pleased at the end of your cut
 
You put on a good amount of mass. But just a quick question do all bulks add so much fat? Not to highjack your thread just a question.
 
No offense, I'm just knew the whole bulking idea. I've lost 35 lbs and am starting to bulk now. I'm kind of skinny fat now so i"m trying to gain some muscle. I'm just nervous about getting to what I consider being fat again with this bulk.
 
don't worry, just don't eat too much. Try to gain something like 0.5 maybe even 1 lbs a week if you're afraid of gaining fat.

It's ok, I shall show you all how easy it is to cut the fat off... putting on the muscle is the tough part, taking off the fat is just PEANUTS!

when realworksuks has a goal in mind, he doesn't just hope or think he will accomplish it, he just does it! :cool: lol

Week 1 update

Week one update...

alright.. starting weight = 180

Current weight = 177

Here are my starting pictures again..

And these were taken this morning.. the same poses.


ALSO! I see a few people were getting really scared of bulking because my starting pictures looked so fat... well, that was pretty much the fattest I could have made myself look. I had just eaten and I was slouching a bit. I wanted it to be that way because I wanted it to look more dramatic when I am finished.


SO, here are some other poses that I am going to keep comparing every week that make me look a lot leaner.


Remember when I said I saw my abs under my layer of fat? Here is a pic of that:

And another pose... you can tell there is a lot of fat to lose before the abs are always showing.

damn straight! Lol, damnit, I really do need to get some new boxers. I got all new clothes except boxers.. ha.


By the way, I don't want to scare anybody away from doing a bulk, so I will show you a picture I took in January when I started my bulk...





So you can compare that to my one week of cutting picture and that's a good representation of how much fat I really gained. Both taken in the morning.

I think the amount of fat I gained was acceptable.. IMO anyway.
