Reaching For the Dreams....

Thanks Niapage! A bucnh of my old middle school friends (we went to a pirvate school) took Mark out to the mall, and then to Red Robin afterwards. He's extremely upbeat about everything, and he starts kemo on Monday.

Please everyone, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

But other than that, I popped back up to 189.4. but i'm not complaining, cause I'm holding steady at the 188/89 mark, and it's extremely cool. :D

ugh... christmas parties = the death of me. Thank god that everyone seemed to have theirs today, so that I can only go to one, and not have to worry about the others! :D

I ate waaay too much yummy goodies... And the thing is, my stomach let me know! actually, it's still letting me know... At least I know not to ever eat like that again. I'm so used to eating right, that eating badly isn't very pleasant. Well at least that's something.

Before you begin a thing, remind yourself that difficulties and delays quite impossible to foresee are ahead. If you could see them clearly, naturally you could do a great deal to get rid of them but you can't. You can only see one thing clearly and that is your goal. Form a mental vision of that and cling to it through thick and thin.

Thank god that there's only 1 more week until christmas... My mom is waaaay too good a cook. :D

Tell me about it... my major in college is cooking, and i work in a restaurant... i'm around yummy food all the time. hahaha.

:D:D I've been soooo bad today... it's not even real. I just kept sneaking little things all day...= bad news for me... and my stomach doesn't agree with it... just like yesterday, and yet, i didn't seem to learn my lesson... funny isn't it?

I'm making a pact right now not to eat ANY of the cookies/browies/cheescake cupcakes/ or anything else my mom cooks up tomorrow. Plus i'm going to the Y. Fun!

There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.

I know how you feel. All night i've eaten icecream, and pop corn, and chips. Its really busy at this time of year.

Its awesome that youre going to the Y tomorrow. i dont have money for a gym membership... but i'm going to play DDR tomorrow. its such a workout!!

my stomach doesnt agree with junk food lately either. and i've only been on the diet for 12 days! haha.

so um, wow... i've been pretty bad lately, but i'm eating the bad stuff in mostly small quantaties, but spreading it out during the day, some here, some there... *sigh* i'm holding steady at 189, so it's not too far out of my control yet... I have to get back on track though... I can't let myself get close to my goal, and then let it slip back out of my grasp...

anyway, I just wanted to share something with all of you. These are links to a song "Sisters" from White Christmas that my sister and I sang at our school's choir concert. I'm actually rather stunned at how we sound! When my sister first played it for me, I asked her what cast she got the recording off of! :D It's kinda cool to me and her how professional we sound. I mean, before the show, I told her and we practiced to make it sound more like the 30's style of music, and well, apparently it worked! Hope you all enjoy!

Hi young lady, I'm proud of your baking episodes where you resisted :) Don't get wigged out over the snacky events, I do it too at times pretty much like you described, I just try to fix it and get through it - some days are better than others ;)

Hang in there and don't let one-nine-o(mg) get back on the scale with you. You can do this.

Take care xorie :)

Oh my god.. you girls sound so good. i wish i had a voice like that. :) Stay focused on your diet. I know how snacky some days can be. i've been having them quite frequently. Its the christmas season. Oh well. I agree with T2. Let this be your motivation: "Dont let the 190-something show up on the scale again." My motivation is not to let the 200-something be on the scale again. Its hard near the holidays, but eventually you'll not even want bad foods in your stomach. (i've been on a diet for 2 weeks, and bad food doesnt agree with me already). Good luck!

Well, I managed to finally control myself

1 bowl of cereal for breakfast
1 Turkey Sandwich for lunch
2/3 PB&J for a snack
1 turkey and cheese quesadilla on wheat tortilla

That's much better than the days before. Finally i'm getting myself under control! :D

that recording is incredible... you are very talented...

Thanks! My sister and I have now had ideas of recording a CD, and possibly selling it... but we're still in that "not sure" stage...:D But it would be super cool if we did, and people actually wanted to buy it! :D

1 bagel w/cream cheese
2/3 fat free bean and cheese burrito w/ wheat tortilla
3/4 PB&J sandwich
1 Turkey Sandwich w/cheese

Total, that's about 1500, but i did do exercise, and I groomed 4 horses, and did a bunch of stuff on my feet all day, so that now i think my legs are going to fall off! :D!!

AND i went to the Y, and did 28 min on the elliptical! Woot for me! :D

Aww man, the link won't work for me. I'm super jealous. But I'm sure you sound beautiful. Keep up the good work and have a beautiful holiday!

there's definitely a market for your style...

Just for grins and chuckles, see if you can get your recording uploaded to Garageband.com - that's a site that has tons of unsigned musicians that are really talented - and people can leave opinions on what they are hearing - some of the reviews are interesting from people very knowledgabe in the music industry.

Well, breakfast was a small bowl of cereal with fat free milk
Lunch.. um, soup, rice, mu sho (or however you spell it) chicken, and broccili beef... We went to a chinese place. It was really yummy... :D
Dinner will be considerably smaller... but, even though it looks like I ate a lot, I ate slowly, and stopped when I was full. So, probably not as bad as it sounds! :D
