Reaching For the Dreams....

I dunno either, I think it was partly being at camp with a bazillion other skinny girls, and one of our teams "Team bonding" nights that was REALLY intense. It made me want to really start working on my personal problems, which weren't really that bad compared to other's on my team. It was a really good thing that happend. And now, I'm totally motivated.

And I plan on running again, IF it ever cools down. so i'll probably run at around 9 o'clock tonight, brining a friend, her mom, and hopefully my mom, and my sister with me. I can't wait!

*walks in dancing*

"Who just ran two miles?"

"I just ran two miles!"

*cough* heehee, so, yeah, I just got in from running. TWO miles! It's compeltly amazing! I'd have never thought that I could run two miles without stopping, but I did! I'm so -....um...Pumped! yeah, pumped with lots of energy!

*YAY* Firstly, congrats on making it to "one-derland". You've been working so hard and you'll be at your goal in no time at all.

Secondly, way to go girl! 2 miles is huge! IT feels sooooo much better than any junk food could ever make you feel *high five* :D

wow... who knew that "one-derland" could feel so good? I never knew. I'm also waking up with tons of new energy, ready to start the day and just attack it!

Ok, so it's been little while since I updated, so I'll just start with yesterday...

ate 1/2 a REALLY yummy honeydew melon for breakfast
Had a PB&J for lunch
3 glasses of water
...
then we went to seattle for a movie at IMAX

was a little bad and got nachos and peanut M&M's....

BUT gave away 1/2 the nachos, and 2/3 of the m&ms. then didn't eat dinner to balance it all out. Didn't get to run yesterday because of going to seattle. (was going to, but the original show that we were going to go to sold out, so we went to a later showing)

This morning had a bowl of cereal and skim milk
probably not going to eat lunch and have an early BBQ dinner. (asked my mom to get fat free hotdogs, and she did! :) ) gonna have some salad too with that, and STAY AWAY from the soda that she bought for the rest of my family. (she's diabetic so she can't have it)

Other than that, I think i've done pretty well. going on 2 weeks of being REALLY good. Lets see if I can get my butt into 2nd gear and go on to 3 weeks of goodness!

oookaay... wasn't so hot over the weekend, but I wasn't competely terrible either. Had ice cream (but it was the fat free stuff I went out and bought) and not a lot of it. Still didn't get to go running, but I AM going today. Ate too much for breakfast. 2 bowls of cereal.

probably won't eat lunch because I'm so full, and hopefully I will have a salad for dinner. And lots of water, because it's still really hot here. *dies from the heat* I slept with a frozen water bottle last night just to try and stay cool! :p

Jumping back on the bandwagon right now, and I hope to be at 196 by the time my sister comes home from her week and a half long vacation.

You are a gem!

*looks at self in mirror* Ooooh... sparkly... :p lol. Thanks.

Was pretty bad on the eating end. It was really hot.. and I could swear that the ice cream in our freezer was calling me... *sigh* I answered... But, then I had a fat free hotdog, and didn't eat dinner...(dunno if that's bad... probably, but eh, I'll eat right tomorrow)

Then I went running.

Total Distance Traveled: 1.5 miles.
Ran: 1 mile
Mile Time: 9:08.34.

I shaved about 25 seconds off my mile time. Not too bad. Hoping to do better so that I can surprise everyone at tryouts when I come in first for the running a mile try out. :D

I haven't been hitting diaries for a few days, but I saw that you got under 200, and I just wanted to stop in and say, CONGRATS!!!! Keep up the good work, and don't ever come back over on this side again. I'll catch up with you soon! :D

Thanks twinmom. I've jumped back and forth between 199 and 200, the scale can't decide which side I'm on!

Wasn't so hot again yesterday. *sigh* I seem to have gotten into a small rut. But I am out now.

Had a bagle with lite cream cheese on it and some honeydew melon for breakfast. Will have a salad for lunch. My mom finally got the ranch dressing. (lite of course) Going running today. Probably going to run a mile, to cut off some time, then walk a few laps, then run another mile, just to get more exercise in.

Hey X,

This past 3 days, I let myself get into a sort of rut too, but then I realized I have to stop this second. I can't wait for tomorrow to come to try again. I have to stop this now so it doesn't carry into tomorrow. If we do wait for tomorrow, then I think that maybe why it snowballs into a couple days instead of just one.

On another note, great job on running a mile. You're time is great and if you keep it up, you will come in first at your try outs. GO Xorie!

Yeah, I know. It's always the "I'll get back on it tomorrow... then tomorrow becomes another tomorrow, and so on and so forth that you never really get back on it. You just have to put your foot down and shape up, or nothing will ever be accomplished. *gives your cart an extra push to get out of the rut*

There, now we're both out of the rut. All we need now is bigger tires! :D

ok, so i've made it through past lunch! I had a salad for lunch as I said, and I managed to ignore the calling of the fatty hot dogs in the fridge!

question, is drinking the Lite Crystal Light bad? I've been drinking a lot of it lately, but there's no sugar and no fat in it. Just a question.

Good Job ignoring those hot dogs. I too like a good hot dog now and then, but they are so bad for you. I just think about what they are made of and that usually stops the craving. I love crystal light lemonade. I don't think it is bad for you. Isn't it just mostly water anyway with some flavoring???

That's what I was thinking too, I just wanted to be sure. :) Yeah, I think that thinking about what hot dogs are made of will turn me away from them in the future...*shudders at the thought* lol.

Some people say consuming too much NutraSweet (or aspartame) is not good for you, and that is the sweetener in Crystal Light. It's the same sweetener as diet pop. You can research this, and there are very differing opinions on the subject, but the best thing you can do is probably just listen to your body. If you start feeling funny, getting headaches, or just think something is not right, see if cutting out the artificial sweetener helps. And try to drink water, too, because it is the best! :)

Thanks. I started thinking about that when I went back and read the ingredients for the stuff. I'm gonna cut back anyway. Once this batch is finished, I'm going to fill the pitcher with good clean water and let it get cold, because there isn't much better to to drink than a nice cold glass of water. :)
