Hi Im Sarah live in the UK with Hubby and our dog didnt want to start a new diary hence the reason for the edit
I did start this diary way back in may but i dont think i was in the right place of mind as i never lost any weight or what i did went straight back on!
So 24th Sept was my new starting point (page 6) starting again at 210lb but this time determind to do well,
In Oct (page 7) I joined slimming world and adjusted the ticker to reflect thier scales and so the new jouney began,
Im using mini targets at about 14lb a time the first being 16lb by christmas which is going well
Im loosing the weight by going to slimming world and the gym and my final target is going to be around the 140-150 mark but i will decide when i get closer to it

Well I am 25 years old, from the UK, weigh 210lbs when I started (lost 3lb this week)
I am at uni and the weight has just piled on I think though comfort eating and stress eating mainly.
Well i graduate in September (Grad Ball is 22nd Sept and want to have a fab dress for that) and dont want to be this big and unhappy so doing somehting about it now.

I am very proud of myself this weekend.
1ce a month a group of us get together have take out and a few drinks well it was on sat.
We had chinise i ordered boiled rice and had half a meal, drank diet lemonade and had 2 measures of vodka. this is really good for me normally its egg fried rice few chips and a bit of everyones meal with larger to go with it.
I know its not cutting it out completly but reducing it by over half is good and its only once a month so i will just have to start the gym routine this week and keep it going.

Feel free to read and comment all motivation and advice is very welcome

If I'm right, there is 18 weeks left until September 22nd, roughly.
If you lose two lbs a week until then, you will be 171 lbs.

Just something to help you stay on track. You can do it! Eat right and keep active!

I keep looking for dresses for the Grad Ball but not going to buy anything until Sept.
I start a placement at the hospital in June till 10th Sept so i wont really see any friends till sept i want them to really notice the difference.
just going to be hard to motivate myself to get the gym when working shifts when i am on nights i have no chance of getting there i need my sleep!!:sleeping:
 
Hi Rah, and goodluck on your quest to shed those pounds. I am also about to graduate from uni, last exam 2 weeks today!! I so relate to what you are saying about piling th e pounds on in uni, thats pretty much my story too.

Good on you for changing your takeout habit, when you start to change your lifestyle to lose weight you see just how unhealthy uni life is, temptation everywhere you turn.

Right well i went for a jog and its all i can call it around a park last night and i was so disappointed in myself i got around but was so much slower than what i had thought i would be i can jog on the treadmill for longer than that and not be as puffed out at the end but i guess treadmill running is easier keep moving or your on the floor everyone looking at you!!!
well i am starting the gym routine today going 3 times a week and swimming once a week
thinking cardio to start with get some pounds shifted then start to tone as well i dont think there is any point toning now i doubt you could see any difference but will chat to a trainer at the gym and see what they say,]

All 'bad' food has gone out of the house no ice-creams, no nuts, nothing to pick at now

at least u managed to go round the park. i m sure one day u'll be able to jog round the park too! take it easy and work up slowly. Heh... i prefer the gym treadmills though even tho I can jog round the park. I guess the aircon helps keep me comfortable so I can jog longer too.

I am getting back to the gym today and hope to go at least 3x this week. Hope u get to work out according to plan. If u can't go gym, can try stuffs that burn calories fast too. I skip rope when it's too late to head for gym. Can try that if u got ok knees and ankles.:)
 
I have got some fitness DVD's which i am going to try to do if i dont make it the gym

Ok well went shopping last night at Asda brought a load of fruit and good healthy foods.
I am going the gym again today (2nd time this week) not the 3 I said I'd do but better than none!
I am going to eat breakfast today 1st time in 10 years (always made me sick if I ate early) but its something I will get back into.
I have been drinking water and no diet coke! (I only had 1 can a day but still better to have none)

Update I had breakfast didn't feel ill but had been up 1.5 hours!
and im getting ready to go they gym now so today is a good day
I have fish with boiled potatoes and green beans for dinner tonight

Hoping for a 2lb loss in tomorrows weigh in fingers crossed

Well had a mixed week this week started well dipped in the middle and good again now.
Been the gym 2ce finding it hard to go on my own but love it once im there and feel so positve oncei have been so think i need to think about the time im going or something like that. I think my friend is joining the same gym so that will get my motivation up and make me go on the cant be bothereed days so i dont let her down instead of poor hubby trying to convince me to go and me moaning back at him!
The diet changes have not been too big but slow small changes and planning meals in advance help and i have been snacking on fruit.
I am so happy and feel so positive that i have lost weight without the calorie counting or giving up things i really love which normally i do and is my downfall but hubby is there to keepp me on track and if i get a bit of chocolate he will eat half - his way of helping and it works!
Weight loss this week 2lb so still on target.
Next week gym x3 and weight loss of 2-3lb

Its an odd feeling having other people post in your diary its great and really helps the motivation I will def try to comment in more peoples diarys just the time to read them all theres so many!!!

Well today has been a bad day with little high-lights
I had my breakfast (day 2 of eating b'fast) lunch and dinner and was really good extra veg less potatos portion size was smaller than last week

Bad part was there was a sweet stall in town when I was shopping and I got some sweets only went round the stall once and ignored the encouragement of stall man to go again (I think I would of normally) but still not a good day.

I am def going the gym tomorrow straight from uni my bag is packed and in the car waiting so no excuse

So disappointed in myself aggghhhh I make myself mad should of just took a few from hubbys sweets no reason for it I wasnt feeling down comfort eating anything like that I guess it deep dpwn i have done well the last 2 weeks I thought what the hell I am getting so mad just writing this i know I did wrong

Well I'm going to make my fruit salad for tomorrow and try to move on from today
 
well had a good day yeasterday and feeling very positive today
Have my meal plans worked out till saturday so there will be none of the last min what should we have? just get something frozen/go the take away

My breakfast is going well i have eaten it everyday now and i can feel a difference during the day when im not hungry etc

I have had a bad 10 days and feel really bad about it now, I have not weighed myself im too scared incase i have ruined things!
I have been unable to get online and i think that would of helped being able to write it down.
Basically i fell out with the inlaws and stress from uni and i just couldnt be bothered cooking real meals and hubby was also working late so wanting something quick when he got in from work as i am writing this i realise that they are all excuses and really need to get my head straight again.

I think i started this today; i started my placement so i have no choice but to eat well on shifts (Prepared food) and drink plenty of water i think the problem will be when i am on nights next week! the norm is to bring in 'goodies' and snack through the night i have the plans for fruit salad and not to eat any of the 'goodies'
Ok back on track and will stay there this time i think i will weigh on sat

EDIT: forgot to mention although had a bad time food wise i have been going the gym and i can tell the difference in the last 3-4 weeks so thats a positive

Ok so weighed myself yesterday and stayed the same which i am happy with since I have not been dieting.
Diet started again yesterday and had a really good day and today is good as well been swimming for an hour today medium pace.
I'm on nights next week so will be taking in my bowls of fruit to enjoy rather than eat the 'goodies' other staff bring in. In this heat Ii prefer fruit anyway!

I will be back on track now as my graduation ball is coming closer and I have spotted 4 dresses I really like which are in shops with go upto a size 16 UK (I am size 16-18 UK) but I am not trying them on and get all worked up/upset because they don't fit that's when I know I will comfort eat.
So the plan is to see how tired I am after each night and see if I could hit the gym before I go to bed not sure how it will go as I get extra tired on nights but taking my stuff with me.

Target for this week 3lb


Short Term Goal
Its now 15 weeks till the grad ball so i am aiming to loose 30lb

HI everyone

Well i have been working nights this week tonight is my last one so my diet has been really good!!! exercise has been a bit poor i dont finish work till 7.30 and by the time i get home its 8.15 and i am too tired but did force myself once
i had a sneaky mid week weigh in and the numbers were good but not updating till saturday my official day
Well i better start getting ready for work

I have only twelve pounds to lose and than I will have reached my first goal!

What do you do for work? I am a student and am volunteering at the library this Saturday and onward ..taking a break from school and am receiving financial aid package for November, term two ... so instead of going for term one to term four .. I am going term two through term five ...

I will get eight classes in this year, which will bring me into my core classes, which come up this year ...
A couple literature classes


anyway .... just felt like chatting :)

Dont be sorry im glad of your posts and i am sure i will do exactly the same in your posts if i havent already!!!!

Im a studnet nurse and when i say work i mean my placement (the course is 50% theory and 50% practice so it does feel like work when im on placement in a hospital just not the wages to match the nurses!!)
But to answer the question im on my final placement on a plastic sugery ward for kids so we get a lot of things like dog bites, falling through glass mainly cosmetic after an accident its all very interesting.

Fingers crossed for tomorrows weigh in i think im on track for a 2lb loss just wish i had the energy after nights to go the gym could be 3lb!
 
YAY I have lost 2lb

Going to work really hard this week and loose 3lb to make it 200lb

Will start making my plan
GYM: Sun (Swim) Mon, Wed, Fri (workouts)
Meal planning will be done monday when we go food shopping
 
HIYA

Well i am having a great week i have planned what we are having and we have stuck to it.
I have been taking salads and pasta into work and i have even had a chocolate bar!! but hay i was good i had fewer calories due to the salad and i have been exercising so i didnt see the harm as long as it is 1 maybe 2 a week and i keep up the gym and the healthy eating.

i have noticed a difference again this week running up stairs in work and i think i havent stopped walking all shift and refused to eat all the 'Thank you' chocolate, cakes etc which patients have brought in where i would of normally ate a good few but i got my strawberries and melon and ate them over the shift instead i feel really good for it
