Protein and Weight Gainers
Ok i went to a store called MaxMuscle by my house, and they have really low prices for all supplements, about as low as i've seen online too. But any i went in and talked to the guy cuz i was gonna get Optimum Nutrition 100% whey protein. The guy told me that whey protein isn't gonna do anything for me, since i want to bulk up. He said i need other things like carbs and so he suggested some weight gainers. He basically said i need something that will stay in me for about 4 or 5 hours.
Also, i told him i just started a push/pull/legs routine. He said i'm way off. He said it's only good for cutting, and i should be doing one muscle a day for about an hour a day. What do you guys think about what he said? Because i was gonna buy the protein but after he said all that i figured i'd come home and ask around.
Also, he told me to take the weight gainer 3 times a day. Since it would usually only last me 11 days if i took it once, that mean it should only last me about 3 days? To me that would be a huge waste of money. And if there's one thing i don't have, it's money. Also, what's the best time to take the weight gainer if i buy it? Should i take it before i workout so i have carbs and protein ready after i workout? Or should i wait and take it right after the workout?
