Put that down, fatty!

Hey Sunflower, thanks for stopping by my journal! How many WW points are you currently allowed? Are you tracking calories for yourself or other forum readers since you are doing the points too? I miss going to the meetings and found that's the only place to find some of their products so I really miss the 1 point bars too - the PB was my fav followed by the mint. I found them expensive but so worth it!

I'm allowed 26 but I'm trying to eat no more than 22 because I often struggle to even get up to 20! I'm tracking calories AND points, which seems a little excessive but it helps me to make sure I'm eating enough and having the right amount of cals for each meal. And also for everyone on the forums benefit! All the WW food is super expensive :( The frozen meals are often on offer over here though so I just stock up when the deals begins! Thanks for stopping by!!

And spankkkkyou Camy and Tutti! I'm having a day off today. Every muscle in my bodyis screaming today and I don't want to push myself too hard when I'm not used to so much exercise. Got boxercise again tomorrow though!

Yesterdays food was a little bad..I went out to La Tasca with friends for dinner.

Lunch:
Pitta bread and cream cheese: 250

Dinner: (i'm guessing cals!)
Bread and oils: 300
tortilla: 250
mushrooms and cheese: 200

Snacks:
Two big glasses of wine! 500

Sooo, about 1500. But I'm sure I ate more when I got home but I was a litttttle too drunk to write it down and now I cant remember. Think it was seed/nut bag though.

But I had a gym session (my induction) which was awesome. Burnt 200 on treadmill and 300 on cross trainer so I dont feel *too* guilty.

So far today:

Breakfast:
1 and 1/2 pitta: 170

Lunch:
Had a nap so missed lunch but snacked on cut up bits of pitta and hummous - 200

Dinner:
cup of wholemeal pasta with mixed veg, mushrooms and low fat sauce - 350

Snacks:
WW yog: 100

LOL, I wish I could get drunk on 2 glasses of wine! Maybe after a bottle I'll be buzzed but not drunk! That's why I don't drink, it takes far too much to affect me and it's not worth the calories, lol.

Ohhh, I drank a lot more than that! But only vodka (8cals for a 50ml shot) which slim-line tonic and some with squash! Just didn't count them!! ;)

Good idea to give yourself the day off when you were aching. Your body tells you how much it can take!

Anyway dont worry about the minor *ahem* alcoholic setback :D you're doing great so a night out enjoying yourself is well-deserved. :) x

Thanks Tutti :D

Yesterday was an okay day.
Had pitta bread, hummous and ham for lunch which was YUM and not too calorific.
Then I had two glasses of WW wine which tasted like piss. Less yum. But only 1 point per glass!

Then my flat-mates cooked a roast dinner. Chicken wrapped in bacon, loads of roast potatoes, stuffing, bread sauce, yorkshire puddings and onion gravy.

BUT, I had a WW meal and veg! Not even one potato! I'm rather wonderful :p And my dinner was delicious, so I didn't even mind missing out on the roast.

Today I've been a lazy bum so far. Got the bus to Uni (BAD HANA!) and then the bus back (BAD, BAD HANA!!!). Trying to make myself go to the gym or for a long walk but I just can't get the motivation. Someone give me a push, please? I asked my house-mates to give me a push and they just said to go back to bed. *sigh*

I'm just so damn lazy. Which is annoying because I've worked SO hard this week and got over my fear of the gym, FINALLY. I better have bloody lost something this week at WW. Or heads WILL ROLLLLL. I've raised my calories because the amount I was eating wasn't healthy but I've done a lot of exercise (boxercise, step, gym) so I should have lost something. I just still feel so fat. It's sad when I can't see a difference in my body.

At my tone-class I was one of the biggest there. Which is fine, because as my mum said, at least I'm not sat on my ass at home and I'm there doing something about it, but I'm just so damn tall as well. I stuck out like a sore thumb. And I'm so clumsy and awkward (not good for step!) which didn't help. Just felt like I was "faking" if that makes sense? I don't know. Like I dont really belong at places like that with all those skinny, toned, beautiful women who were doing it.

Feeling a bit hollow today--sorry for being a grumpypants.

Now if someone could make me go to the gym, that would be wonderful.
Also, good work-out songs?

So, I went to the gym.

I was sick afterwards though...Don't know what happened. I did 45 mins on treadmill. Half on the normal incline and then half on the steepest one (oh my god my legs hurt!) and really enjoyed it. Walked about 4.5 miles according to the screen and burnt nearly 400 calories (not great). And then I drank a load of water just before I got off the treadmill.
Went upstairs to change and had to run into the bathroom to be sick.

Any ideas?
I had a fruit bar and plenty of water this morning before the gym and a pitta bread for breakfast so I wasn't hungry. Very odd.

Today (so far)

Breakfast:
Fruit bar - 101
Pitta bread - 125
Cream cheese - 50

Lunch:
Covent Garden Soup called "Heart Warmer" or something? Was yum! - 100
Pitta bread - 125

I have a thing about pitta at the moment. Haven't had any normal sliced bread for weeks!

Maybe it's just from pushing yourself really hard. You see the contestants on the biggest loser throw up on their first day every single season! lol... So maybe it was just something like that.

BTW - Good job on eating your own food! It's so tempting when others cook to eat that stuff. You could still eat it if you calculated your calories prior to taking it so you know exactly how much you can have, lol. Either way you work it, it's awesome!

Hey, looks great that you are getting yourself to the gym! And doing the boxing workout, and the treadmill and all...

Also, hunting? hehe, thats cool..

As for good workout tunes, there are two routes I take to keep me going... When I take long walks (can't really run for more than 50 feet! lol), but walking I love to listen to my Podcasts! stuff like, [goes to check iTunes for a list of his podcasts...] Alan Watts Podcasts (Zen and Buddhist lectures); DemocracyNow! (Daily hourly news); LibriVox Audiobooks (audio books, hehe, hence the name); PRI selected shorts (selected short readings from great works in literature); This American Life (weekly program on random subjects in America); and my Two Absolute favorite best podcasts in the world can't live without them ARE: WNYC's Radio Lab (Awesome program on cool topics); and Zencast (Buddhist speakers)...

And when i'm not listening to Podcasts, I like things with a good beet, that keep me going. Some Tiesto perhaps, or Radiohead, and Easy-Star All Stars are great for workouts!

You said you need a kick to get to the gym. But honestly, I always look forward to catching up on all the podcasts I haven't heard, that gets me to get walking all the time!!

PS: even if you don't have an iPod per se, you can download most of those programs if you go to their websites. Like if you search Zencast on google, or go to radiolab.org you can get those programs.

Nevertheless, good luck with everything! Keep up the good work! And i think its cool that i'm talking to someone from across the atlantic! :D

Hunting?!

And thanks for the suggestions! I've got an Ipod so I'll check out the podcasts. Just have Eddie Izzard playing all the time when I go at the moment! :p

Risty-lady: Yeah, I did a bit of hunting around on the inter-webz and it looked pretty common so I'm not worried. Feel fine this morning!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got my weigh-in tonight at WW. Eep. Anything is better than last week and I've worked so damn hard the past week. I better have lost something. Although, as my Yank was saying to me last night--it's not about what the scales say, it's about how you feel about yourself and living a healthy lifestyle :D

In non-fat related news, my boyfriend moves in with me in a few weeks. After a horrible time apart and working through our (very) long distance relationship for a very long time, he's finally got his visa sent in and we are awaiting a result. Hopefully it'll be a yes and then he's on the next place here to live with me and my flat-mates.

I feel a little young to be living with a boyfriend but he's 27 this year so he knows what he's doing I guess! And it makes sense, financially (boring, I know) that he moves. And obviously, I adore him and want to wake up with him every morning!

*grins and shakes bingo wings*

Today:

Breakfast:
cereal bar - 100

Lunch:
Covent Garden leek and potato soup - 100
pitta bread - 125

Dinner (when I have it!)
WW meal - 350
Snacks:
weird rusk nubbin things with hummous: 115

I don't know how old you are Hana, but I moved in with my boyfriend when we were 20. We moved apart again (as he wanted back to halls and I was pissed off) at 21 and back together from 22 to 24, we are now doing long distance...
My parents got together at 14, moved together at 17 and were married shy of 19... they are still together 40 years after first dating (they are 54 this year I think... maybe 55... oopsie!)! So age is but a number! But then... so is weight ;)!

Have a great day, I am rooting for yank to be able to come over, Camy

I'm 20 :) And thats such a sweet story! Childhood sweethearts are awesome.

In other news: TODAY SUCKS

I lost one pound.

One fucking pound.

After SO much exercise and eating healthy.

I'm actually really upset..

I don't know where I'm going wrong.

Advice please?

You're not alone. I feel horrible too. I didn't lose anything! I don't understand it either. The only thing we can do is try and make small changes and see if it helps. The most important thing to do is not give up and keep going. If we give up then we definitely won't lose anything... therefore we must keep on going and hope for better next week!

Thanks Risty..

I'm hoping all the work I did this week will show up at next weeks weigh-in I guess...It's just so disheartening, isn't it? Meh.

We'll do better next week though--Maybe all our working out has turned our fat to muscle and it's made us stay the same!! ;)

Yeah it really is disheartening. But maybe you're right, maybe it's muscle. I blame TOM! That and lack of water. That, and I probably need to go to the bathroom but just can't (sorry for TMI). lol... So I blame all of that!

Right, NEW GOALS FOR THE WEEK!

Drink 2 litres of water a day.
NO SNACKING ON ANYTHING BUT FRUIT!

I've asked my room-mate to hide all my snack food (WW crisps/bars/nuts) in his room so I can't have them!

Good idea to hide the snacks. I got some chocolate from my grandma for valentine's day (she gave it early) and my mother in law gave us a box of chocolates. She always buys treats for her house and then whenever we visit we end up leaving with some. I try to say no, but they end up at our house anyways. I have the chocolate in a spot that's not visible so that I don't see it and want it. I think about it sometimes, but I haven't had any in a while. Unfortunately they are some of my fav's and it's very tempting. OH and I have left over chocolate I bought for the house for christmas (for guests and stuff). Sigh!

Hey! Don't feel so bad about the pound. I went down 6.5 pounds the week that you did, I went back up the week after, and I am back down again this week. I know part of my problem was bloating, so that had something to do with the yo-yoing. You are doing so much right that you can't let a pound beat you down. Just remember, a loss is a loss. I will take 1 ounce lost over 1 ounce gained. Just remember what you are doing this for: YOURSELF!

Good luck with the next week!

Thanks you two. I needed a pick-me-up for sure! Feeling much better today. Going to the gym with two friends this evening and have had Uni all morning :)

Breakfast:
peaches in juice: 100

Lunch:
Salad leaves - 0
4 bits of WW bacon - 100 (only 25 cals a piece!!)
mushrooms - 0
10 squirts of low cal spray - 10

Not enough for lunch really but I'm super full and don't want to eat for the sake of eating. Will snack on ONLY fruit today. I have leftover peaches from this morning and satsumas so I'll pick at them when I'm hungry!

Hope you guys are all doing well :D

Damn Girl!!

you ain't no fatty!!! You look good! Keep up the good work. I wish I looked that good at my starting point.
