Put that down, fatty! (For the last time!!)

I've come and go too, but I kept my same diary. It's all a part of my on and off journey and hopefully this time it's for good. lol

I know what you mean though, I got down to my thinnest the first time and got lazy and here I am again. But, what can you do but move onwards!

Don't use your new free time for drinking wine! ;) Seriously, though, it's great that you had an option to leave a place that was mentally harmful. The money is great but not necessarily worth it.

Hi lovelies,

Made my Slimming World baked chicken last night and it was AMAZING. And just like KFC. Was going to take a photo but ate it all within 1 min instead. Recipe here if anyone wants it!

Today I have wallowed in fatness like a large manatee and done nothing but tidy my house, nap with my cats and visit a friend for coffee. Now I'm going to the pictures to see the Imitation Game with Benedict Cumberrrrrbatch which will hopefully be good. Aiming for cals to be around 1400 today :)

I really want to see that movie. I don't know what you know about Alan Turing, but it may not be your favorite Cumberbatch role if you find him attractive. It's rare that a movie comes out that I want to see, but this should be nerdrific!

Hey, Q :) I know a little about Turing--Although mainly as a result of reading so much about World War two which is a big interest of mine. Not very knowledgeable about computer science but it would appear he was a rather clever chap! I hear there has been complaints his sexuality hasn't been handled particularly well in the film as well. Benedict Cumberbatch is not really my "type" so won't be fussed about finding him attractive--That's what all the Tom Hardy films I watch are for ;)

Have you seen Sherlock with Benedict in? UK series but maybe it made it's way over the pond.

I have been streaming it actually. I love it! They really managed to breath new life into the Sherlock character. I stream a lot of stuff online so I can find UK stuff. Derrick is great and I started watching Luther which is really good too!

I've seen a couple episodes of Sherlock on BBC America - I like it, but I don't really follow a lot of shows these days - just streaming Netflix stuff from a few years ago. That way, if I get into it, i don't have to wait to see the show's wrap up.

Ohhhhh for fucks sake. Someone give me a bitch slap over the interwebs please. I have FAILED horribly this weekend. Had family here all weekend for my Dad's birthday and I had beer battered brie, chips, 6 bags of crisps, 3 bowls of pasta with ketchup on (seriously), a take away pizza, two bags of sunflower seeds and a bowl of ben and jerry's ice cream AND about 5 bottles of wine...

AND IT WAS AMAZING. I'm so not sorry. But am full of rage and sorrow that have lost literally ZILCH since the uber week of the 8lbs. 8lbs is like a largeish baby so I think I got a bit excited and have not worked hard at all. I literally walked 600 steps yesterday. The shaaaaaame.

So time to get my shit together. And part of that is POSTING HERE. Not running away all weekend like giant, fat, manatee woman.

I'm at work tonight and have made a Slimming World spag bol for the kids (I'm so popular right now, NOT.) and I'm having a pile of veggies and green tea and no snacking when I get home.

Urgh. *wibbles furiously*

Holy crap! That's impressively bad! You messed up then you fessed up so it could be worse.

:cuss: Get your shit together lady!* :cuss:

*verbal bitch slap

Ive been there before, that's for sure! The important part is that you were able to come clean about it!!! AND, not let it derail you! Everyone messes up, and I find get togethers the worst! There's always so many different foods and I always have to try it all and eat more of my fav's! But they don't happen often and the best I can do is just try not to get carried away. But I'm not going to not have it. Just eat super clean this week, exercise consistently and keep us posted! Don't let mistakes get you down and give up, let them be learning tools.

Is ketchup Brit-talk for spaghetti sauce? Please say it is!

The good news is that you don't have Thanksgiving tomorrow, so no compulsion to eat 2 pounds of turkey, a gallon of stuffing, and a small serving of 5 different pies ("I have to try Mom's AND Grandma's pecan pie").

The bad news is.... holy crap, that's a lot of food! I thought I was the only one capable of that level of gluttony!

I like your sense of humour through it all and you will get there!
I wouldn't worry about people thinking you are "weird" for making your own food. How is it weird to be trying to improve your healh in a health setting anyway? I think that's being pretty sensible and setting a good example actually. The reason why I say this is that one of the main reasons for my weight loss success (2 stone almost) was purely down to organisation and planning ahead, not going out for meals too much and making my own food as much as possible. Weight loss for me before was always insanely difficult as, like you, I am into pizza and wine in a very big way as well as anything else cheese related and all food in general.

So if I can give you any tips to make things a bit easier would be to not only plan your day's food in advance but a few days in advance if possible. That way you just stick to the plan and you don't have to think about what you are going to eat and/or get caught out with having to eat out and over do it. Also, I honestly do feel your pain with the love of wine but see if you can hold off to the weekend, it does get easier with time and you start to just get on with the week and look forward to a nice drink at the weekend. Also it means you will sleep better and feel better in the morning. I know I'm not saying anything you don't already know but though I'd mention it anyway :).

All the best!!

Oh, my lovely bitch slappin' WLF lot--I was a bad, bad girl. But have been so fabulous today and yesterday that it will surely be much better on the scales tomorrow.

Oaks and LJ, I'm afraid ketchup is exactly the same in America and England. Why on earth I enjoy that combination of ketchup and pasta I have no idea... Probably the same reason I like black olive sandwiches? And plastic cheese slices on rice? Maaaaaan, I'm odd.

And yes, was insane amount of food to consume in a 2.5 day period. Am glutinous piggy who is feeling rather bloated and has had AWFUL indigestion the last few days. In fact, I have it right now. Still. At least I'm assuming it's that...hurts right under where the bottom of my bra is and has woken me up the last two nights. :piggy: Punishment, indeed!!

----

Pizzandsalad! What a wonderful name (minus the salad) and thank you so much for your comments. Think planning ahead is really key--I always buy a shop in advance and have an idea of what I'm making each night but I'm led by what my stomach wants at that exact moment in time so often don't bother making what I've got ingredients for and then they go off and then I waste money AND eat like a whale. So yes, you are right. I need to make more of an effort.

----------------------------------

So the last few days have been fab. No wine at all yesterday and two normal sized meals so well under calories for that day. Was up at 5 this morning with BURNING ACID PAIN IN BRA REGION :willy_nilly: so am currently holding eyes open with matchsticks and debating a nap...Nap means I can't be eating. Flawless logic.

I decided to go to Equine Therapy with one of my kidlets at work today and had the most amazing time. He rode very slowly (on a lead rein with the lady who runs it) and me and my colleague just pootled (another UK word? "To poooootle.") behind him and I walked 12,000 steps in like 2 hours and it was all foggy and crisp and lots of birds and horses and was just perfect. So have done my exercise for the day!

Tonighttttt I will be making Slimming World Chorizo Mac'n'Cheese (550 for a very large portion) which should probably be orgasmic. We can only hope.. (as certainly too tired to even wave the Yank hello this evening) and then a glass of wine and then BED.

That indigestion sounds awful! See a doc if it doesn't clear out soon. Pootle is for sure a UK thing.

I'll give you a Texas or at least southern US word in return:

Tump - To spill out by tipping over.

I think it's a combo of tip and dump. If something is too heavy to lift you tump it over or tump it out. If you are gesticulating wildly around your wine glass you might get the warning "Careful, you're gonna tump that over!". When I moved to Seattle I learned that this term and many others are not nationally known.

Great work getting back on track! I think ketchup is gross on anything so no idea why you'd like it on pasta. Black olive sandwich sounds pretty good to me. Maybe a chewy french bread with mayo and swiss? I could do that.

Ketchup and pasta...*shudder* I can barely stand watching Chef eat ketchup on his eggs. lol! Mac and cheese sounds soooooo good right now though. mmmmm! Glad to see you got back on track!
