Put that down, fatty! (again!)

That is a nice picture! You will probably have lost a fair bit of weight in your face, so I suppose the comments might come from the fact that it might take a little bit of time for people to get used to you looking slimmer.

Hey gorgeous people (cowboy! we miss you!) - still sitting pretty at 12st 4. I've had lots of comments from people at work this week that I'm "wasting away" so having second thoughts about losing much more. Clearly not wasting away as have butt-chunk for dayyyyys but I appreciate the sentiment!
I think getting under 12 stone is my next goal but I'm in no rush and not actively dieting anymore.. just want to up my exercise and see what happens. I've found a lovely balance of enjoying life and having the body I want. My calories tend to be between 1200-2000 a day and I'm drinking only 2/3 nights a week now. I've come a really long way from the 16 stone I started at a few years ago and just need to be proud of myself and chill a bit I think. Here is me from our anniversary get-away - I think I look a normal size now (if rather pale!).
You have come a long way Hana & should be very proud of yourself. You are looking gorgeous. I love that you have found a lovely balance of enjoying life and having the body you want. That is a wonderful thing xo

Finally - we have proper internet!

So, we are all moved into our little house with the catbutts. It's gorgeous - I've had all the wooden floors downstairs replaced, lovely cream carpet upstairs (now screaming TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF, at the husband before he even gets through the door) and it's looking really nice. I've been off work since we moved which was on the 8th Sept. It's been crazy! Scales got lost in the move (conveniently..) but weighed in at my parents when I went home and still lurking around the 12 stone mark where I'm happy. Routine with food has gone out the window as I'm not at work but I've been making good choices and still thinking about what I'm eating.

Anyway, all good here - hope everyone else is doing well!

Your back :)

Congratulations on the housing awesomeness! I hate moving and I stand in awe of your ability to make good food choices while drowning in chaos.

Best mental image ever <3

Thanks LaMa - It's been a busy few weeks but worth it :D

Still can't find my scales.. might use it as an opportunity to invest in some decent ones. Are the body fat ones ever accurate? Can't see how they can figure out your body fat just from standing on some scales.. Feeling a bit podge today - went to the soup kitchen last night and the manager gave me a bottle of fizz so I drank the whole thing when I got home..haven't done that in months so feeling a bit rough and bloated today. Back to work on Tuesday and looking forward to getting into my routine again. I don't do very well without structure.. eating at no set times and boredom eating. Never mind - if I put on a few pounds it should be simple enough to shift once I'm back in my routine!

As far as I can tell they don´t do great on giving you your precise body fat measure (difference between your fat percentage and Yank´s for example) but they are good at showing changes in one person´s fat percentage (yours now vs yours in 6 months). So it really depends on what you want to use it for. Mine gives a water percentage as well, so when I see an unexpected change in weight I can sort of check if it really is because I´m more or less hydrated than normal.

No, digital scales are extremely inaccurate for measuring bodyfat, they are only useful for looking at general trends. to get a good reading you need to get a qualified person to do caliper measurements or the gold standard DEXA. Because your in the UK getting Bodpod measurements done would also be a good option.

Just adding to Tru: If you get caliper measurements (which are the cheapest option around here) you need someone who´s used to doing them and ideally get the same person to do them every time. We were taught the caliper method during training: it takes a lot of practice to get useful, consistent readings.

Thanks for the advice, ladies. Luckily, or unluckily, the old scales made a reappearance in a box I hadn't unpacked yet. Joy. I will brave them tomorrow..last night we went to see our favourite comedian Stewart Lee and had far too many drinks (didn't have dinner before) and then I made chorizo and parmesan cream sauce pasta at midnight. Feeling slightly delicate today but we are going here (https://www.tinwoodestate.com/) for wine tasting and a vineyard tour.. there is cheese as well which will make me very happy. Yank is then taking me to Taco Bell afterwards.. I haven't been since I was in Spokane ID about 8 years ago so I'm very excited that we found a branch in the UK.
I'm back to work on Tuesday and very ready to get back into my routine.. I don't do well without it!

Well, all the wine was drunk BUT I avoided taco bell. Wine tasting was hilarious - us and a bunch of barbour jacket and wellie wearing poshos. The guy who ran it was lovely but we got the giggles trying to "inhale the bouquet and taste the brioche notes". All just tasted like wine. Very nice though, even in the rain! I've made a huge rice casserole in the slow cooker with green beans, black eyed peas, peppers, mushrooms and cajun spices. Got enough for lunches until Wednesday and have lots of healthy things in the fridge for dinners. Tonight we had peppers stuffed with the rice casserole and paneer on top grilled. Was lovely and very healthy.

I have the day off tomorrow as was supposed to have wall paper hung but the dude has bailed on me last minute so I might try myself tomorrow.. we shall see. Weigh in tomorrow morning - not going to be pretty but I'll be back with a plan, haha!

Tried to measure the wall this morning for the wallpaper and couldn't even do that effectively so have caved and rung a man who will come and do it all for me at 14:30 for £80. Saves me the stress but my pride is a little dented! I did paint my front door and a load of my furniture last week which felt pretty good so I've done a few bits for the house at least without relying on men!

I went to bed at 21:00 last night with a book and slept through until 9:00 so feeling very rested, if a little foggy. The anxiety about going back to work tomorrow after a fortnight off is setting in - perfectly normal for me but still a little unpleasant. I'm having a really healthy day today, back to logging on here and getting back into my routine and AWAY from the alcohol. It's starting creeping back in again a little more than I'm comfortable with.. think I've drunk 12/14 nights since we moved in.. It's been my birthday and other celebrations but still.. too much.

Plan for today is soup for lunch and then some sort of curry tonight (no comments, Rebel!!!).

That's a shame. I think there's real potential in a "curry queen" version of "killer queen" :p Then again my work lunches have basically been bean stew for weeks so glass houses and whatnot.

Hey you converted me; no worries :)

Wallpaper is always worth having it done. Well worth the money. Here; no one I know of really does wallpaper anymore. It's more of an older generation thing. You would see it in your grandparents homes. I know people do still use it because I have seen some real expensive stuff at the stores. I just don't think I know anyone that has any. I think most just decide it's easier to paint.

Please tell me you´re getting this: http://www.haraldgloeoeckler.de/wallpaper/
