Put DOWN the Nutella!

Good news- just got back from the physio, I don't have anything too serious. It's tendonitis at the insertion just below my knee caused by my instability. So had a heap of ultrasound done, got a sleeve bandage and a heap of stretches to do.. icing and resting for 24 hours. She thinks getting PT while I'm over east is an awesome idea so YAY, that's still going ahead!!!! Can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow, so excited!!!

Howdy ol friend.

I am back....due to my pants gettin too tight...sigh

Hope you are absolutely fantastic. You gettin ready for spring down there?

We finally got a bit of cool weather here in Texas...only gonna be 89 today!

Hiya Brawny!!! Actually I'm living in the far north of Aus right now, and "winter" is one month of 25 degrees (77F) but mostly the temp is like 33-35 (91-95F) which is crazy... because where I used to live (proper home... 10 months and I can go back!) it was 55F all of last week and we had the air con on here!!! Summer is awful, last year we had 10 days above 40C (104F). Can't wait to go home for proper seasons!!! Technically there's only 2 up here, wet season and dry season. Dry season is ending now and there's a big clean up happening, because wet season is also cyclone season. Yay for us!!! Glad to see you back, I'm sure you'll be smashing the pounds in no time!!

Well, weigh in was shit. I was expecting that though... 67kgs. So 100g. Yay. Hahahaha!!!! I'm going to post a couple of progress pics though and I reckon it looks like I've lost a lot more than 3kgs!!

So... pics are exactly 6 weeks apart. First pics I'm 69.8kg, last ones I'm 67kg. Haven't missed a workout n had junk food only twice in 6 weeks! I think my hard work shows!! (Scuse my hair, I just woke up. Also have huge n annoying mosquito bite on my stomach!)

Ok so my holiday goal is to be 65kgs when I get back! Will prob take more pics then, I reckon there will be a dramatic difference with the PT and nutrition plan!!! Anyhoo, I'm off to get the rest of my stuff packed!!! Will keep posting on hols of course!!

Just had my appt with the nutritionist, I thought it was really positive!! She's putting in a heap of anti-inflammatory foods for my knees, and changing stuff up to deal with my IBS. Also because I'm away for 3 weeks all those meals are going to be easy/ portable type stuff so I can do it while away. And she's included food options for when we eat out n stuff. She reckons I can lose 1.5-2kgs easy while away! So YAY! Going HARD the next 3 weeks!!! PT consult tomorrow!!

Oh yea- also means I won't be counting cals for the 3 weeks which will be weird as she's planning all my meals for me, portions and all.

I bet the meals she plans are healthy...you should be okay.

I am curious...what are some anti-inflamatory foods? Is that like diet coke and ibuprophen? Ha ha no...really what are they?

your coconut looks yumm thanks for sharing your food ideas on here..... I'm gonna go check how many calories in coconut now, so the chocolate molds had only the coconut in them?

Hey Rainy, thanks for the comments! And yes, it's only organic coconut in those moulds, nothing else!!

This place is fully awesome! Flight took longer than expected cuz of air traffic... got stuck circling the airport for an extra hour so got in late last night. Just organising ourselves today, been grocery shopping and driving around a bit. Off to get coffee and go to the casino now!

Just had our fitness consultation, have 10 sessions in the next 3 weeks starting tomorrow!! First day of my new eating plan too!

Todays food

B- 1/3 cup of oats with a banana and 20g almonds

S- 40g almonds and an apple

L- Mountain bread wrap with tuna in springwater, cheese and salad

S- Vegetable sticks of carrot, celery and cucumber dipped in 40g light cream cheese

D- 140g chicken breast stir fried with garlic and veg, and served with 1/2 cup cooked brown rice

Exercise- Went grocery shopping and walked up and down the stairs 3 times and now I'm wobbly as!!! Got moved to a bottom floor apartment now. YAY!

Aaaaaand officially not calorie counting anymore either now I'm on this plan. Feels weird!

A So I have decided to make one exception to my eating plan while away- and that's having a normal coffee once a day... I'm not supposed to be drinking dairy milk, but our kettle in the apartment we are in makes the hot water taste like filth. So yea... having a real coffee every day. Apart from that, today I was RIGHT ON plan!! So psyched to start exercising tomorrow!! On the other hand, my knees are being pretty bad. Got some crutches, an ice pack and a foam roller to use and still doing my physio exercises. Here's the food plan for tomorrow: Tomorrows plan[/b] B-[/b] 1/3 cup of oats with a banana, 1 tbsp LSA and a tsp of cinnamon S- 2 wheat free crispbread with 1tsp cashew, brazil nut and almond nut butter mix L- Mountain bread wrap with tuna in springwater, cheese and salad S- 200ml natural pot set yogurt with cinnamon, 20g almonds D- 140g chicken breast stir fried with garlic and veg, and served with 1/2 cup cooked brown rice (stir fry was good! I made 2 nights worth today, so that'll be leftovers tomorrow) Exercise- 1st PT session! YAY! Tomorrow we are doing our PT session, then cruisin back here for showers etc... then I would say out for coffee and off to do something called the Infinity Maze, which is pretty much just a trippy pile of rooms with distorted mirrors... and we wear freaky clothes that UV light plays off. Takes about 2 hours to get through, I've heard it's awesome! Then maybe a little bit of shopping, and then just chilling. YAY holidays! Can't believe the first day is over already!! Also will be experiencing Starbucks for the first time tomorrow!

That menu looks really yummy....except for the portion sizes.

Starbucks virgin

My wife is hooked on those 5 dollar cups of coffee....They are pretty good

AHahaha what's wrong with the portion sizes? Surprisingly filling! Also, didnt think Starbucks was all that amazing. Still it was caffeine so it did the job!

Had our first workout session today! Was wicked fun doing it with Wade, he loved it. Just did upper body stuff, heaps of boxing and strength training. Worked up a mega appetite! Came home and made a feast instead of planned meal above (still in with my meal plan of course!) I made tuna nachoes- I grilled half an onion with a clove of garlic, added 3 chopped tomatoes and a big handful of spinach and cooked it for a bit, then added a tin of mixed beans and tuna and stirred it a bit more. Served it with a mountain bread I made crispy under the grill, and a couple tbsp of ricotta. Nom!

Going shopping soon and then to a freaky maze with crazy rooms lol. Tomorrow we are going for a big drive for this beauty treatment for 4 hours. It'll be bliss!

I'm on my phone so can't edit text, here's tomorrows food plan.

B- 2 eggs, 1 slice reduced wheat toast
S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1/3 avocado
L- tuna, mountain bread and salad
S- 2 hard boiled eggs
D- going out for dinner, planning on fish and veg

Might swim a bit tomorrow. Also meals will be at random times as we are going out in the middle of the day.

AThankyou both ladies, its always a bit ahhhh when posting pics in bathers lol.

Just came back from our spa treatment, what an amazing car trip! It was so green and views where incredible, looked just like New Zealand! Took photos and videos along the way. Can't attach photos from my phone but will when I get home. The treatment itself was awesome too, spent half an hour in an infrared sauna, half an hour in a hydrotherapy spa, then had our feet washed and scrubbed, and had a massage that went on forever. Were served fruit and nuts for morning tea. O and when we first arrived we were served a herbal tea mocktail which was awesome- it was herbal tea, fruit and sparkling mineral water. Yum! Massage was good for our poor sore muscles from pt yesterday!

Food for tomorrow-

B- oats with 1tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp coconut flakes, 1 tsp of cinnamon and a banana
S- 2 hard boiled eggs
L- wrap with 120g lean steak cooked in garlic in a wrap with salad
S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1/3 avocado
D- chicken parmigiana (which I cooked yesterday) with Brown rice and homemade veg sauce (was really good. Grilled onions with garlic, then added a chopped red capsicum and 5 chopped tomatoes, big handful of spinach and cooked it till it went saucy. Then cooked a chicken breast I sliced into 2 fillets, added ham to the top of each then put a bit of sauce and cheese on top and finished it in the oven, then served it with half a cup of rice and the veg sauce. Had it for lunch today too)

Exercise tomorrow is a pt session 10am.

After pt tomorrow our only plans are to go to the wax museum!

AOk so tonight ended up being my cheat meal for the week. Actually I was still really good, just wasn't 100% to plan. We went to a gorgeous little Italian restaurant, it was a family run business and everyone was SUPER Italian, like really strong accents and very buoyant lol. They were really accommodating to my annoying food requests, I had a salad as a starter with dressing on the side- was so nice! Was mixed leaves with tomatoes, onions ans olives and I only used a tiny bit of dressing. My main was grilled barramundi which I ordered without sauce, they seasoned it for me and I squeezed some lemon over it. Was a pretty huge piece though, I really should have only eaten half but it was so good! Was served with steamed vegetables- a potato, carrot, cauliflower and broccoli. Wade had dessert and I had a cup of coffee which was so nice! Haha and then the owner came over to us with a couple of shot glasses of butterscotch liqueur and said it was on the house... Haha and it was so good. Specially with my coffee! We were stoked with dinner and the service there, grabbed a takeaway menu for another night. If I get fish again I can have it over 2 nights.

So yea, cheat meal for the week! But hey, I'm on holidays so I think a few little slips here and there are allowed. We aren't going out for dinner again till Tuesday so will be 100% perfect till then! That night I'm allowing myself dessert- we are going to dinner with a show and its a set menu.

That's not a bad cheat meal at all....sounds like the quality was premo! Good for you! You are on vacation! (Holiday)

AYea I agree it was a healthy meal, just too large a portion and then I had that shot. Tasty as it was lol.

Wow so had our second training session, was underestimated again haha. We have several different trainers cuz we booked all our sessions in advance. Anyway different guy today, we went to do bench press after boxing and he handed me two 4kg dumbbells... And I was like really? Can I do the 20kg Olympic bar? And he gave me a look and was like the girls he normally trains freak out when he gives them weights. Anyway, I convinced him and got all my reps in. Then did shoulder press with him standing behind me and there was a mirror in front and I have all these crazy muscles bulging out (didn't realise how muscly ove become! Been well over a year since I've worked out in front of a mirror!) Haha he was all wow, I can see youve done this a few times before. Too funny. When we left I asked Wade if I come across as a bit of a princess or something, and he said a bit! Seriously don't consider myself a girly girl but apparently other people do!

Anyway session was fun and I found that pretty amusing. Had my steak n salad wrap which was yummy! Think we are going to the wax museum this afternoon.

Food plan for tomorrow

B- 1 piece wheat free toast with 2 eggs and 1/3 avocado
S- apple and 40g mixed raw nuts
L- homemade pizza on a wheat free corn tortilla with 100g ham, heaps of salad greens, chopped fresh tomato, cream cheese and a sprinkle of parmesan
S- mixed vege sticks with cream cheese
D- getting takeaway. I'm having grilled barramundi without sauce with a mix of roasted Italian veg. Halving my fish portion and buying two lots of veg as it will be dinner tomorrow night too

Might swim a bit tomorrow!
