Put DOWN the Nutella!

Hey Irish, like I said I'm happy to help!!

Brawny- Hahaha culinary skills. Not sure I have those, but thank you! Like I said, it's usually me chucking things in a bowl and sticking it in the oven and hoping for the best!

Mystic- Thanks!!! Wade is going to go and get testing done beginning of Dec, seriously hoping theres some positive change!!! Also, our swimming pool looks like a swamp right now. Husband hasn't put the filter back in or salted it yet, now it's bright green. Don't know if I'll be swimming for the next week! Grrrr.

Thanks MrVee!!!

Guys I'm seriously excited about the recipe I posted on my blog today, I made pumpkin scones- minus wheat, dairy and sugar- and they were amazing. I can't believe I got this one first try! They have the exact texture and taste of a normal pumpkin scone, even though I didn't really make them like scones... or with scone- like ingredients. My best fluke yet. Here's a bit of food porn for you:

Recipe with step-by-step instructions is here: http://www.lucysfitlife.com/?p=841 if interested! All normal ingredients too. And I'm including nutritional info on recipes now that I'm calorie counting again!

Workout this morning was pretty hard, my upper body was still sore from Sundays workout so I did a lower body focused one. It hurt and I'm wobbly as right now!! Still, got it done! Nomming on my hard boiled eggs as I type. Om nom nom.

No plans for the rest of the day, I'm making stuffed sweet potatoes tonight which I can't even tell you how excited my husband is- strange that he absoutely jumps at anything savoury I do, then I make something really awesome that is sweet and pretty and he's all ergh, na I'm right... Strange boy. I think my baking freaks him out, he must think I like to eat gross food that HE won't like for some reason! Even though if I force him to try something he likes it. Silly one.

Food Plan For Tomorrow- Day 6 of 112

B- 1 piece wheat free toast with 2 eggs and 1/3 avocado

S- Chocolate thickshake experiment

L- Leftover quinoa with tuna, broccoli and cauliflower with uncheese Went out for lunch instead, had seared and baked barramundi with grilled Mediterranean veg (pretty sure they were cooked in oil)

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1 tsp nut butter

D- Burgers! On a mountain bread with mustard and salad

Exercise- None, unless I want to catch some kind of deadly virus or become a swamp mutant from swimming in our pool. Grrr.

Also will be having 2 cups of coffee which is approx 1 cup of almond milk (20g almonds) and 2 cups of tea.

Total calories-[/b] 1520 Total deficit for the day-[/b] 727

Total deficit for the week-[/b] 3478

Husband has the day off today, YAY! And he's taking me out for lunch. Haha I told him yesterday I was making burgers for dinner tonight, I wonder if I hadn't said anything if he would have taken me out for dinner...? Lol that boy and his love of beef! Good he has the day off anyway, he's sorting out the pool which has actually turned to sludge now instead of just a swamp. Gross. So will probably be a week before I can swim again, which is stressing me out a little as swimming has a lot to do with my recovery and every day mobility. Really REALLY don't want to start going backwards!

In other news... Randomly got TOM yesterday without any warning. Guess eating healthy stops you getting sore/ other symptoms?? I did have that bad day a few days back, maybe now I have something to blame it on lol. Also... Getting Assassins Creed today!!!! YAY!!!! There's my next 2 or 3 days fully booked.

Anyhoo...

Food Plan for Tomorrow- Day 7 of 112

B- Breakfast tiramisu experiment (this one makes me excited!)

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1 tsp nut butter

L- Leftover burger on mountain bread with salad

S- Agar pudding with almond milk, a punnet of strawberries and 20g nuts

D- Homemade quinoa sushi with uncheese, carrot, cucumber, tuna, and mustard

Exercise- 30mins strength training

Also will be having 2 cups of coffee which is approx 1 cup of almond milk (20g almonds) and 2 cups of tea.

Total calories- 1453 Total deficit for the day- 944

Total deficit for the week- 4397 (really happy with that number! Now just got to get there!!!)

Oh hey, I thought I would post a pic of my stuffed sweet potato I had for dinner last night! It's piled really high lol. It was a decent sized potato (around 200g) but it was a really long and skinny one so it was impossible to stuff!!!! So I just scooped out the potato and piled everything on it, hahaha!!! It's leek, green beans, peas, 1 stick of celery, spinach, and 140g chicken. I cooked the veg in a clove of garlic and 1/4 tsp of curry powder and tossed it with my already cooked and seasoned chicken and the sweet potato, which I scooped out and mashed. Husband got the same as me, only I crumbled feta through his mixture and topped his with parmesan.

That stuffed sweet pea potato looks diiiiiiiiivine. Majorly jealous. You are a fab cook hun, i would love if you could be my chef ha:)

Proud of you:):)xxx

Hahaha thanks sweet!! Husband didn't even blink when I presented him with an insanely tall potato, funny that he'll just dive into that but he won't try my pancakes?

Just went out for lunch with him actually, had seared and baked barramundi with I think less than a cup of grilled Mediterranean veg (zucchini, eggplant and tomatos) Pretty sure they were in oil, so changed my calories for today to a 727 cal deficit (I'll update the estimate for the week in the post above!) It was SO yummy! Just a pain having the snotty server look at me like a fruit loop when I asked her what was in the seasoning and she said she didn't know so I asked for it without... and without sauce. I think that was probably the first annoying dining experience I've had! Ah didn't let it ruin lunch. Ash got chicken parmigiana, it was freakin HUGE! I think I drank close to a liter of water by myself through lunch too, was so hot outside! I'm wearing a dress right now that's been in my cupboard for almost a year because it didn't fit so that's exciting, pretty much have a brand new wardrobe of unworn clothes!

Went to the supermarket on the other side of town to pick up Assassins Creed (in the same shopping centre) and picked up a few new things to try! Got almond and chia seed butter which is INSANELY high in fibre, also got quinoa crumbs to use instead of bread crumbs (I usually use brown rice crumbs), something called Fibre Mix which is ground linseed with psyllium, oats and carob powder which you add to smoothies/ baking (43g of fibre per 100g!) Also got quinoa crispibread instead of the corn one that I usually get (it's the only one available at our local supermarket). So yay for new shit to play with! (Ditto for my new game, YAY!)

Erhm so got into the food after dinner again tonight. Swear it seems to only happen when I have a day off with the husband??? Went around 600 cals over maintenance which means that when I have tomorrow as a perfect day I'll finish for the week at around 2900 deficit. I need a bit more than that so to even it out, the next week I'm aiming for at least a deficit of 700 every day. Need around 5000 the next week to catch up!

I had a few of those days where I ate more than I should just sitting around after dinner. I had really bad cravings/urges to eat sunday and monday night. Thankfully I didn't eat too much more than I should have (in fact, monday I was within my calories) but I was very happy last night when I didn't have such bad cravings!

What's interesting is that I'm over 50 pounds and four months in and have really yet to have any sort of significant food craving problems. I think one reason is that I'm a guy and a slightly above average height one so that I get a fair number of calories to play with making it easier to have a big satisfying meal. For example, I just had about a 560 calorie breakfast that would be awfully difficult to squeeze into a 1400 calorie diet. At 2200 it's pretty easy. The only time I feel hunger at night (I feel it every morning when I wakeup) is when I've shorted myself 300 calories or when I stay up later than I should.

I dunno, maybe as I get closer to my desired weight (still a ways away) it will start to kick in. Or hell, maybe tonight I'll just completely lose it and devour a bowl of Halloween candy.

MrVee I actually don't get hungry, I'm pretty sedentary most days apart from my workouts and general cooking/ cleaning and I'm getting enough in... I think my problem is more boredom/ hormonal/ emotional hunger, which is a shit. When I want something else to eat, it's usually more of dinner. Then maybe a bowl of oatmeal. Sometimes some unsalted/ unsweetened nut butter off a spoon. Or toast. Or a few chicken breast meatballs. I've even just grabbed mountain bread and stuffed it with salad so I can eat, I guess it's better that I'm reaching for stuff that is healthy but it's still more than I should eat if I want a loss!!

I don't really have any other distractions in my days like work- which I've always had, and now I'm feeling pretty lost to be honest. Seriously frustrated about the swimming pool too- we had to put algaecide in it which is full of copper, so if I go swimming in the next month or so my hair will go green (because I'm a blonde! And getting your hair done up here is priced beyond ridiculous- $400 for cut and colour! I save up my hair cuts for when I go home and it's less than $100!) Grrr.

Todays breakfast experiment was pretty damn awesome! Won't be posting it for a while though as I'm testing 2 other versions, if all 3 are good I might end up sharing all 3!

So this week I will be ending with a deficit of 2988- roughly 3500-4000 would be half a kg, so I'll just hope for 65.9!?? Just want to not be 66.2kg again!! Planning next weeks calories by days, I want a 5000 cal deficit to make up for this week. Really letting my motivation slip!! Going to have 5 days of roughly 850 cal deficits, one day of 700, and the 'cheat meal' day I will try and have 100-200 cal deficit as safety. That's going to be Fri (tomorrow), my husband finishes work at 4 so I'm cooking up pizza (bases and all! I'll be making them earlier though as it's another experimental recipe I have in the works) and busting out the cider. Promise I'll be perfect the rest of the week! Also even on my lighter days, if those are exercise days I'll still be eating roughly 1500 calories... Going to stop aiming so high this week!

Food Plan for Tomorrow- Day 8 of 112

B- 2 eggs and 1/3 of an avocado, scrambled with herbs on 1 piece wheat free toast

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1/3 avocado

L- Homemade quinoa sushi with a tin of tuna, slice of carrot, cucumber, uncheese and mustard

S- 2 hard boiled eggs

D- Homemade pizza loaded with chicken breast, capsicum, onion, tomato, spinach, and mushrooms, with 2 bottles cider!

Exercise- NONE! (Apart from my physio exercises)

Calories also include 1 cup of almond milk for my 2 coffees, I also have 2 cups of tea during the day and between 2.4L- 3L of water.

Total Calories: 2120 Total Deficit for the day: 127

Total Deficit for the Week: 127

Well hopefully Assassin's Creed will take care of some of the boredom. Instead of eating, you can slit someone's throat.

Ohh man I got SO stuck into that game yesterday, love the new character you play. And the sword fighting/ action sequences are so much more fun and much smoother acrobatics etc. YAY!

Actually stopped by to say... I DID 3 SETS OF 15 PUSH UPS OFF MY TOES THIS MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, see I don't feel hungry. I just had urges to eat! Wanting to slide back into old habits of just eating all the time. Not hungry at all!

Good job on the push ups luzdafuzz!

Nice work on the pushups, and let's see some green hair! I'm always prodding my wife to "go green" - probably something to do with my teenage love of Japanimation (Robotech, to be exact).

Gonna be a single Dad all next week (wife's going to Vegas for her job), so I'll be giving some of your recipes a try. I didn't see if they had substitutes for less exotic incredients (i.e. - vanilla powder or almond milk), I suppose some interwebbing would clear that up some.

PS - I love the metric system, especially when I'm working on a project at home, and can't remember if 11/32 is bigger or smaller than 3/8. Then I mutter "Why the f___ can't we on the metric system like everyone else in the world?!"

Haha thanks guys, my lady guns are getting stronger!!

Little John- I'm a big anime fan too!! Actually watched Legend of Korra a couple of weeks ago, it was really good! I grew up on that stuff, Sailor Moon, Evangelion, Bubblegum Crisis... Think Samurai Champloo and Full Metal Alchemist are my favourites. But yea, pretty sure the pool-green will be more like vomit rather than an awesome turquoise/ bright emerald. Eek! (My husband always bugs me to dye my hair blue! Haha)

Haha also I do include normal ingredients to substitute- vanilla powder you can switch to standard essence (I just love the smell and extra flavour of the powder!) And almond milk can easily be switched to normal milk or other milk of choice. Same with the liquid stevia, 8 drops is around equal to a tablespoon of sugar. Made an amazing tiramisu for breakfast this morning! Making a couple other versions though to see which is better/ easier, may end up sharing all 3 versions if they're good!

Good morning all. I'm still 66.2kgs. 4 weeks in a row!! BUT... The difference being, my BF% was staying the same and even went up a few % over that time, this week it was down a whole half a percent from last week which = 400g BF. So I'm actually happy with that!

Lol I jumped on the scales going I'VE SO LOST THIS WEEK! Because yea, I look smaller. Guess your weight kinda gets pushed aside a little when you're training as hard as me though. I knew I wasn't the best last week too, and day before yesterday I had a pretty high calorie day so could still be retaining from that. Whatever, actually pretty happy with my result so not stressing! I know that despite a few trip ups I still worked hard! Today is CHEAT MEAL day!! Huzzah! I've got my ciders in the fridge, got the base for my pizza dough made up, hubby brought home all the toppings yesterday. Wicked. I'm looking forward to it! Just in case I stuff up the base (another experiment) I'll be making it earlier in the day... also prepared 2 lots of the mixture I'm going to use in case the first one is beyond repair lol. It's always so much fun testing new recipes!

Planned the whole week of meals/ snacks already, and should finish the week with a deficit of around 5000 cals which will bring me even to my goal for the whole fortnight. Hopefully the scales will budge a bit then!

Food Plan for Tomorrow - Day 9 of 112

B- Second tiramisu trial

S- 2 hard boiled eggs

L- Left over mung bean pasta with vegetables and a tin of tuna

S- 2 crackers with 1/3 avocado

D- Marinated steak with 1/2 cup brown rice with vegetables and seasonings

Exercise- 30 mins strength training

Calories also include the almond milk for 2 cups of coffee. I also have two cups of tea during the day (1 green tea, 1 spearmint tea)

Total Calories: 1459 Total deficit for the day: 939

Total Deficit for the week: 1066

Food porn for you!!! This was my dinner, homemade pizza base (which was a total success, going to post the recipe on my website tomorrow) topped with spinach, capsicum, mushrooms, onion, chopped fresh tomato, oregano, chilli, seasoned chicken breast and homemade uncheese. OMG. Was unbelievable.

One more pic- check out how well my base holds up when it's piled crazy high (my uncheese doesn't melt, I knew that but I think next time for pizza I'll make a sauce instead)

Good morning all!!!! Had a MAJOR win with breakfast today which I thought was exciting, it's opened up a million new possibilities in my brain... *Wishing I could re-live this mornings breakfast... DROOL* I'm about to do my workout, actually sore from the other day which is weird... I did a pretty hard upper body workout with arms at the end, but it's my abs and butt that are sore (and they were pretty much an after-thought!) Strange. This mornings should be pretty hard, my husband is home so going to get some boxing done. Got it all written up and ready to go! It's full body again today.

Food Plan for Tomorrow- Day 10 of 112 (That number will be down to double digits soon! Yew!)

B- Savoury breakfast pizza with 2 eggs, spinach and cheese on one of my smaller single-serve pizza bases

S- Strawberry nut experiment (just know it's my usual 40g nuts with a punnet of strawberries... having a play! Mwahahaha)

L- Leftover quinoa with mixed veg

S- Cucumber and celery sticks with 40g hummus

D- Steak and veg leftovers with 1/2 cup brown rice

Exercise- None, just my usual 20mins of physio- butt/quad exercises and stretches

Calories also include 1 cup of almond milk for my 2 cups of coffee, I also have 2 cups of tea during the day (1 green tea, 1 spearmint)

Total calories: 1471 Total deficit for the day: 776

Total deficit for the week: 1671

Workout = done, I already know I'm going to feel it in my triceps and shoulders tomorrow. Argh. Did I mention my husband has the day off? Think we are just having a bit of a movie and gaming day (I'm pretty keen to get stuck back into Assassins Creed and I know he wants to keep playing Pokemon on his DS) He let me box him again today which I think terrifies him, funny when I get into it he starts to back away and I have to convince him I'm NOT going to get him lol. TOM has me feeling a bit bla today, I think the alcohol from last night may have caused that (even when I have 'bad' days I still don't have anything that will affect me such as sugar/wheat/dairy, but alcohol can sometimes upset me which is why I hardly ever have it... even just the 2 drinks I had. Grrr)

Have a happy/ healthy/ super awesome fun time weekend people!

Might try the Protein Mudcake bites as I more or less have everything except the bananas and the protein powder. Have to hit the farmers market tomorrow anyway. 100 calories of one of these would fit nicely into one of my daily snacks.
