Actually had a much more active day today than expected- went to the shop and grabbed some stuff to make juice tomorrow, and was in the kitchen cleaning up n stuff this morning after making coconut butter (I just ate 2 squares... every bit as good as white chocolate in my opinion!!!! NOM! 112cals for 2 pieces, and full of healthy fats and flavour) I don't have to work tomorrow, I stopped and spoke to the bakery manager and they have someone lined up now... so YAY! Another sleep in tomorrow!

This morning I was feeling pretty weak upper-body wise, after doing a pretty heavy upper workout on Fri and then swimming the best I think I have yesterday... So I decided to do a lower body focused workout. Which I haven't done in FOREVER. Ha, OMG. I'm so freakin weak. I didn't do much more than say I usually would... I can body weight squat freely now without having to do it on the wall, so I was already doing that... I made sure I got calf raises in, also did all my usual ones... and added in some Romanian deadlifts just to see if I could. Holy moly. I used to be able to deadlift 50+ kgs (did a 1RM of 80kgs about 2 years ago which I was proud of as I was a helluva lot smaller than I am now), and I had 15 on the bar and was struggling to keep form (my knees always want to point inward, it's an issue with my squats too... It's because my med glutes are really weak which is a contributer to my knee prob, which is why I have butt exercises I have to do every day as part of my physio) Haha, anyway guess it's only up from here! Also decided to finish with a wall sit, and struggled just to do 30 seconds. Arrgh. Frustrating. Feel like my legs are thoroughly worked out now though! Also threw in some seated rows with my Gymstick and kneeling push ups (didn't bother doing full proper ones today- still wanted a bit of a workout but I felt my chest/back/arms needed a bit of a rest). Ai. Haha some days I feel more like a grandma than others!!


Going to try a chia seed pudding for morning tea tomorrow at work- going to make it tonight! Has a pretty amazing nutritional profile- 209cals, 12g fat, 26g carbs, 15g fiber, 15g protein. If you're interested, I'm making it with a 1/4 cup white chia seeds (40g), 3/4 cup of skim milk, a few stevia liquid drops, some vanilla powder, and a pinch of salt. So that should be interesting!

There's only 3, it takes like 10 minutes, they aren't hard... and when done every day, SO EFFECTIVE!
 
Arrrrrrrrrrrfghgj.... worst sleep EVER. Husband has a chest infection and kept us both awake coughing all night. SO. TIRED.
 
After above post I pulled something in my neck, so had a pretty awful day all round. I couldn't turn my head all morning! It's calmed down heaps now, even managed to swim for like 20mins. But was too tired to keep going lol. Better than nothing! Because of that though I'm going to make tomorrow my rest day for the new week, also going to have a heavier food day (totally unrelated, just because I feel I need one)

Arrgh I'm so so frustrated, stepped on the scales at 67.8kg. It's always freakin weigh in day that I seem to have a fluid retention problem! No way in hell I actually had a GAIN this week, so will once again have to weigh in tomorrow or the next day. Poos.


Hey Sunflower!!! With the mountain bread pizzas, I get two mountain bread, stick them together with a bit of tomato paste, then top like an ordinary pizza. So the base is only like 130cals, then I usually put spinach, mushroom, capsicum, onion, cheese and dried basil and sometimes garlic powder. The whole thing only comes to around 300 calories... And because I'm having a heavier food day, I'm havin 2! HA!

My physio butt exercises are- this is lateral stepping http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq8-xCzJS28 I do it around the room as a warm up for 5 mins. I use a resistance band tied I tie in a double knot around my ankles. Make sure you step the same amount both ways!

The next exercise has 3 parts, I do 10 reps of each exercise on each leg. First one is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z07ZMZmCcb4 so on all fours, lifting bent knee to each side, second is http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&v=5FVKvYWxScU&NR=1 on all fours again, kicking up to the ceiling-though I don't have my upper body lower to the floor like that... just on hands and knees like the first one. Third is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBe6QWmT5Hs&feature=relmfu on all fours extending your leg out backwards.

Third exercise is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTJBYOWPFL4, lying on your side and lifting your leg. I do 10 of these on each side too. And that's it!! Hey Kate! Yea had heaps of problems with my knees the last few months, pretty long periods of time of me not being able to walk or get around without crutches. Was pretty bad!! Had a much better physio this time around though and I'm pretty much better now, only have pain randomly that doesn't affect me walking. Oh, and I can't use stairs very well either. So if you are reading from that far back, I do actually get better!!!! The problem is called patellofemoral syndrome, and as far as I can see it's a problem that is managed and not cured, so I'll have to keep exercising every day forever to prevent flare ups. My knees mal-track which is why it's so painful.
 
Oh my new breakfast cake for the week was super yummy too!!!! Was over having chocolate every day, haha. This time I used less oats, like 200g, then bulked it up with 1/2cup desiccated coconut, 1/4 cup of chia seeds, and used 6 bananas, some vanilla powder, 120g coconut butter, pinch of salt... around 1.5 cups water. Was so good! Coconut banana breakfast cake!! Still divided it by 8, I think that because there's less oats it's a bit lighter on the calories... only 372 a piece this time.
 
Mmmm... knocked off work, pizza in oven... gettin ready to chill the eff out! What a day!!! I had a taste of the dysfunction of the grocery team today... Pretty much groceries is divided into 3 teams, and they are all majorly against each other and blaming each other for everything. Really not worth the effort typing out todays drama, all I know is that I miss the bakery department and I want OUT!! Job hunting when I get back from holidays for sure!!


Was much more active than expected today, so upped my cals too... ended up eating (or will after my pizzas) 2166cals, and having a deficit of 494. So successful heavy day without going overboard. Oh- officially 4 weeks without junk food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! Possibly the longest time ever. Like since birth. Haha! That's all junk food too- refined sugars, flours, anything genetically modified, soft drinks/alcohol of ANY kind. And any takeaway. Totally proud of myself! Also haven't gone over maintenance even once!

Heya Jjjay! For sure, this journey has never just been about the weight loss for me. Much more to do with creating life-long healthy habits and rid my body of all the crap I've dumped in it over the years. Even if it's a slower journey, I have more goals than just my weight!


Slightly heavier day again today, and no exercise as I'm getting sick! So had an EXTRA huge green juice, and going to count that as 300cals... also ate extra anyway (just nibbled on almond bark) as I walked around more than I thought again. So 739 cal deficit for the day. Actually think I will have another heavier day tomorrow too, I'm going to aim for around 800cals... So if I'm retaining because I've had such a big deficit for so long, hopefully it'll stop my body from freaking out (if that is what it's doing!) Then I'll have 4 straight days of 1000cal deficits... so should still end with a 6000ish deficit for the week! Will still have 3 workouts this week too- Thu, Sat and Mon.

Had the first really bad sugar/junk food cravings I've had since starting a month ago! OMG we were right next to Maccas and I was with Wade, he wanted to go and get a milkshake... I started to agree with him then heard myself say we'd have something at home even when I was so not thinking it. Haha go my reflexes!!! My whole body was screaming SHITTY FOOD but my mouth said no. I can't even say it was because I was being strong, it was a kind of out-of-body experience... heard myself say no then was thinking- wait, what!?? Came home and had strawberries and a cup of coffee (I don't normally drink coffee in the arvo- was SO what I wanted though!) and now it's gone. HA! And I was more active than planned today, so ate more but also had a bigger deficit... 992cals today!!! YAY! I know how you feel on being hungry while sick, alot of people I know are that way, I guess you have to feed the sickness lol I don't know what it is. Still somehow managed a deficit (which felt like it wasn't going to happen- my stomach knew no bounds today) of 150cals. Actually if I'm really good for 3 days I'll still end the week on 4200 so I'm actually not TOO concerned... as long as it's all out of my system now! Still no junk food either (go me!) Hey all!! Knocked off work already, having a bad knee day. Spoke to my manager and have decided I'm only going to do 5 hour shifts this week- If this is from overdoing it last week, I really want to rest as much as possible for holidays!! WHICH I LEAVE FOR IN 8 DAYS!!! YAY!!! Going to organise 3 weeks of personal training over there for Wade and I to do together, so no reason why I won't be continuing to lose weight. Actually thinking of taking my scales with me too, it'll help keep me on track!!


Did a bit of cooking today, this is what I'm having for lunch for the next week- http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com.au/2008/09/sweet-potato-shepherds-pie-ranchers.html It says it serves 4, so I doubled it... But it's FREAKIN HUGE!!! I'm making it 12 servings, and even then it's like 456cals a serve!! Smells really good though, I'm going to eat some shortly for lunch!!! Then doing a workout and cleaning up... and THEN resting. (upped cals again today as on my feet more than expected)


Husband is on late today... which sucks, really want to play more Castle Crashers with him!! Haha that's pretty much what we spent all of yesterday doing... Also watching a really messed up show called The increasingly poor decisions of Todd Margaret. It was so funny, and so crazy I spent half the show hiding behind my hands.
