Project C

M2M - well, it was an okay day I think. like I said, one full of triumphs and defeats. and I see you're a Dave Mathews fan. :) Any particular song you can recommend? I like to use my walking time to think, organize myself, enjoy my environment too. But when I'm dancing in my room, I like to crank up the music! :D

Twinmom - Woot! It's very creamy. I hope you got the light version. Two pieces is only 50 calories with the light version. So creamy. It's perfect to spread on crackers or toast too.

Cannon - Thanks for the playlist! I'll hafta check those out. :)

Week 3 Challenge: Move More! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty:
Today I slept in after a whole week of getting up at 7:15 everyday, I decided to let my body doze a lil longer. So I woke up late and had brunch instead of breakfast and lunch. I had a quick runza wrap. Dinner was a very old-fashioned Chinese home cooking meal. Stewed tomatoes with ground beef & scrambled eggs on steamed rice. Finished the day around 1300 calories with only 26% total fat (9% being saturated). Drank 2.5 liters today. Took a nap 2.5 hours after dinner. >_< D'Oh. But I guess it's alright cause I was only short 30 minutes. Didn't work out today. But I will do that tomorrow... Maybe I'll walk up and down the stairs for awhile or dance around. Dunno yet.

After dinner I took the time to cook the chicken to make a cream sauce. It didn't go as well as I hoped. I probably used too much broth as the base and not enough milk. Oh well. The sauce still tasted yummy. Just not creamy white looking. That's what happens when you experiment with cooking. But now I know what's for dinner tomorrow... pasta and salad!

Tomorrow's the last day for this week's challenge. Hmm. Better start brainstorming for next week. But first... sleep! I'm slagged so I'm just gonna crash. I'll be back tomorrow for more updates and to check everyone's journals. :)

Twenty days!!!! You know they say it takes 21 days to form a habit. After today is over you will have made it a habit to eat healthy. Cool!!! You're doing so great.

And that fifties style bag sounds so adorable!!!!! I want one!!!

Hey C I've been having a look at your last post and it looks very good. I've been waking up at strange hours in the morning recently myself but it's not deliberate! See on Wednesday I'm going to sleep until 1pm I think!

Hope your weekend was fun though it sounds like you had a good time shopping hehe!

Hey, C.

Sounds like you are doing well. Try some upbeat Celtic or Bluegrass Music to get you moving. The Young Dubliners or the Cheiftans are good, if you find a speedy song. Very fun to dance to.

Hope you are having a great day.

C, the only reason I have japanese music on my playlist is because I hear them in video games... simple and clean is just such an upbeat song I couldn't NOT download it! I have the japanese version too but I have no clue what she's saying, and didn't list it because a lot of people don't like non-english music. I have music from all sorts of languages. I have a norweigan pirate song, several german songs (a couple Rammstein CDs worth), and some I don't even know what language they are! :D

Anyways, I like reading your journal, you come up with some great ideas for daily foods - what's a runza wrap? Well, I know the wrap part, but not the runza part ;)

Scarlett - I hope it's true. Cause I still got til August 31st with this challenge! Eeep!! I hope I can keep it up!

Crunchie - Hey missy, you should go to bed earlier. ;) And yeah... Heh. I'm a shopping fiend sometimes. :p

Pineola, Maleficient - Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try to look them up. :)

Beagle - Ah... I like Utada Hikaru's songs but I'm not big on jpop either. I also like a few of Rammstein's music but they're a lil too heavy for me sometimes. My bf loves their stuff though. For me, I don't really care about language. I can listen to anything and still love it if it sounds good. As for a runza wrap... It's a wrap with cooked ground beef and cabbage. Week 3 Challenge: Move More! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty-One:
Today was an extremely good day. I woke up around 10-ish. Slept in again. Had a runza wrap cause I was starving! I had a late lunch due to the late breakfast. And THAT was when I had my usual cereal with milk & light Laughing Cow cheese. Dinner was pasta and salad and a banana for dessert. I almost never eat bananas. I hate them usually. But we had ones that were not ripe yet and they were still green-ish yellow. So I ate one. I don't like them when they're ripe. Ended up today with 1200 calories. Overall fat was 21%, 7% being saturated fat. Woot. Also drank about 88 oz of water. Double woot.

I also danced the hell outta myself today. I danced around my room moderately for about 1 and 35 minutes. Basically, I chose 25 songs and just kept dancing. Honestly, the longest time I've boogied around my room. According to this site's exercise calculator... dancing slowly for 95 minutes at my weight means I exerted +700 calories. Holy! Who knew! I must admit though... I probably looked like a complete goofball but I had fun. :) Sometimes I danced slowly, sometimes fast, sometimes I was jumping up and down and yelling (Disturb's Bodies) and other times I sauntered around, shaking my hips sluttily (Britney Spear's Toxic) and just shook my booty (Destiny's Child's Bootylicious). Either way, it was fun. :)

Oh. I forgot to mention... Tomorrow is the Biggest Losers mid-weigh-in. I know I lost weight. I sneak peaked during the weekend. ;) Hopefully, it's not a fluctuation I saw and it REALLY is my weight. Also, I realized I'm close to my 50 pound weight loss REALLY soon. If my weigh-in is right... I'm pretty near it. I hope to lose the 50 pounds by my birthday in August. Another big milestone coming up is... Well... It's hard to explain. But I do not have an electronic scale. Mine is the old ones that turns when u weigh urself. Well, it only goes to 299 pounds okay? And at my highest of 308 pounds, I actually had to look at the needle past the BIG ZERO and hit the number 8 to know I was 308 pounds. I noticed that if I lose about 10 more pounds, I will NOT be able to see the big zero anymore. It'll be passed the lil open window where you can peak at the numbers. You won't believe how ecstatic I am about that. Even more than the idea of reaching the 50 pound mark.

End of the Week Reflection:
Welp, this week overall wasn't bad. I found that I could be alot more active without really trying or going to the gym. Sometimes I got off the bus a stop or two earlier and just walked. Other times I just got up and marched on the spot while watching TV. I definitely danced alot. And sometimes if I had to go up (or down) the stairs, I'd run up, then back down and then back up so I get that extra cardio work. Not that difficult I must admit. And I easily incorporated into my lifestyle.

Kinyo - I haven't tried red cabbage yet but I don't think it'd taste very different. Give it a try and tell me how it goes. :)

Week 4 Challenge: Less Salt! (Cumulative)

Current Weight: 264 (lost SIX pounds!! )

Day Twenty-Two:
Well... As you can all see it's been a FANTASTIC week for me as I lost SIX pounds!! SIX! Holy! I've never ever lost that many pounds in one week EVER! I'm ecstatic. I'm down to 264 now and I gotta admit I'm thrilled. It's been 3 years since I've been this light. I'm now 6 pounds away from reaching my 50 pounds weightloss. To be honest, I can't wait. And I can't wait til that dumb BIG ZERO disappears from my life and into the back of my scale where I can never see it again! :D

I decided not to measure myself this week... Cause... Well, it's a pain. :p And I figured 6 pounds won't really change much in terms of measurements. So I'll measure myself again in a few weeks. Maybe after August 31st to check the difference. Also, this week I'll be trying to cut back sodium. I've been trying to do this... But it's hard. It's actually harder for me to give up salt than it is to give up sugar. Although most of my food is rather bland in my opinion, I'll be trying to go less on the salt even more. The average person should only be having maximum of 2000 mg of salt everyday. But it's SO easy to go over. I'll be trying to watch this more carefully on fitday.

Today was a great day. Knowing that I lost 6 pounds from last week made me very giddy and joyous. For one, I drank 3.5L of water today. Breakfast was cereal with milk and my Light Laughing Cow cheese. Lunch was a small runza wrap (the very last one) and a banana. Snack was Kraft's fat free chocolate pudding (only 100 calories with NO fat almost!) Dinner was a cup of rice, 2 cups chinese broccoli cooked and a 3 oz peppercorn steak. All in all, today's calorie count was 1200 calories with 17% fat and 6% being saturated fats. Today's sodium intake was JUST under the maximum recommended amount... It was about 1900 mg. I walked the extra bus stop when I went to my program. Came home ane got off an extra step. I did 20 minutes of steps while watching TV and then I danced for an hour. Again it was fun. :) That's it for me guys. Hope everyone had a good day too. :)

Congrats on the 6 pound loss, must feel really good for the week. How did your endocrinologist react when he/she heard of the weight loss?

As for the red cabbage, lol, I don't know what the difference is 'til I actually taste one after the other. But it was really good, I hesitated to put too much salt in the seasoning, so it was a bit bland, but as you said it's quite filling.
