Project C

Hey C, I'm glad we're on the same team for the challenge! With you, we're gonna totally rock! I can't think of a name right now though... Tell me if you come up with something good. GO US!

I always miss the good stuff! This underwear discussion is awesome- I will admit, that I have a little problem with buying cute underwear seriously four or five times a month... can't help it... Like M2M said, ya just feel hotter when ya have hot undies :D
Glad to be back, and thanks for checkin on me while I was gone@!

Hey C, sounds like an awesome shopping day. And some great bargains you found!!!

And from a couple pages back

Though I'm always kinda weary how saggy their skin was afterwards

That's because they lose it so fast. We are doing it the right way by losing it at a slow enough rate that our skin has time enough to shrink back. We're going to look GREAT!!!!

So glad you're in the challenge!! How cool is this going to be?

Sounds like your shopping trip was fun! I know what you mean about some of the plus-size clothes not fitting very well. Let's be honest here- we're all big in different areas, and some of those cuts are NOT very flattering. Oh well- soon enough we won't even have to shop at those stores anymore! Keep up the good work!

I must chime in about the whole panty thing. I have a whole drawer dedicated to my pretty and colourful matching delicate bras and panties. Unfortunatly I can't fit into any of it. So I shamefully am admitting that yes I am not only wearing ugly white granny panties, but they are my maternity undies. Uggggggg.

Crunchie - Yeah. I'm glad I packed my lunch too. Though I must admit... I forgot to report, I DID take a bite outta a Krispy Kreme doughnut. That I'm not proud of but least it didn't throw me way off.

Aussiegirl - Thanks. I'm glad to have you on my team too. :D I must admit I'm not COMPLETELY over my kid traumas and my self-esteem is still lower than it should be but I am much more confident than ever before in my life right now.

M2M - paper-doll M2M? Hehehe. ;) You should go shopping now though. I'm sure you can find tons of cute clothes to buy now cause everything is on clearance. They're trying to get rid of the summer clothes for the fall season.

Pineola - I'm not really calorie counting that hard so the chances of me munching is harder. This last week I've been biting my lip and just saying no to snacks. Not even a bite. :D

VonArtiste - I just hope I don't let you guys down... I've been in a schlump for awhile. Hence the summer challenge to help boost my metabolism. ;)

Jess - Welcome back girlfriend~! LOL! YES! A cute pair of panties is always awesome. :D

Scarlett - Yes! I averaged $10 per item. I'm so happy. :D And yeah... sagging. *gulp* I hope mine doesn't get too saggy.

Kinyo - hey Kinyo. :) Thanks for checking up on me.

valapalooza - personally, I just wish manufacturer's would just realize there's several different body shapes. it's just so frustrating sometimes ya know? grr.

jennifuffa - OH NO JENN~!! You must go out on a panty raid. And at least pick up some new cute pairs. I saw that Avenue AND Lane Bryant were holding panty sales. GO GO!!

Day Fifteen:
I maintained this week. :( I'm kinda disappointed about it. I was hoping to lose a pound at least but I will not let it get to me. I'm still pumped and ready for the new week. And for the next two weeks, I'm part of the Biggest Losers Group Challenge.

Today was my first day at career exploration. Got up at 7 which I am not used to yet. I'm exhausted so I'm gonna go to bed early today. I finished the day around 1250 calories and seriously resisted buying a frozen yogurt today at Yogen Fruz, resisted eating my low fat Kraft pudding and seriously resisted eating or taking a bite outta a Krispy Kreme jelly doughnut. I had cereal with milk and some laughing cow cheese in the morning. Lunch was leftover chili, 2 slices of toast and some salad. Dinner was one runza wrap and a lil more salad. Tomorrow I plan to take a runza wrap to the course for lunch. I made it with especially alot of cabbage. Water for the day will be 2.5 once I finish this last 500 mL of water. As for exercise today, I did steps for 20 minutes while watching Hell's Kitchen. I would have done 10 more cept my feet hurt. I think I twisted it or something earlier.

Oh. And as you can see... This week's challenge is simply just to MOVE MORE. It may sound easier than you think. What it means is... No escalators. No elevators (unless it's many floors). My walks are gonna get longer. Getting off a stop or two earlier when on the bus and then just walking the rest of the distance. It's just to generally get more movement in a day. We'll see how it goes. :)

Well, I'm exhausted guys. Normally, I'd take time now to check on the journals... But I'm totally completely utterly without a doubt SLAGGED. I need sleep. So I'll try to catch you guys tomorrow. :)

Wow, it looks like an awesome first day. I am doing OK, but I gave into temptation for a few pretzel bites while watching Pirates of the Carribean. Must get up early tomorrow and walk them off.

Yeah, went to Vic. Secret today... almost bought more, lol, 3pair for $28?? Isn't that kinda expensive?? JEeeezzz. So I decided, that due to the underwear discussion, that would be my present :D Another 20 lbs, and I'll buy myself 6 pairs of super cute undies :D Its gonna be hard to go cold turkey on that, but hey, its definately motivation lol

I hear ya on the move more thing... depending on where a person is at, its hard to go anywhere without an easier option, so I'm gonna join you on that- I'm gonna park at the very end of employee parking at the mall every day from here on out just to get in some extra minutes of walking.

Have a great day tomorrow hunny~!!! And good job on maintaining- we all want losses, but sometimes ya forget how hard it can be to maintain

Hey C don't be too dissapointed you didn't loose this week, the same has been happening to me a bit recently too. Can you maybe try eating more veg to boost metabolism? That's what I'm doing just now and it seems to be working reasonably well!
Have a good week and good luck in the current group challenge!;)

wow, your body must have known you were starting the challenge. It held on to some so that you could have a mega drop for the challenge. Pretty smart!!!

cannon - it was a pretty good day. today was alright too. hopefully, tomorrow will be better though. woot! let's go team!! p'-'q

Jess - oooh. pretty victoria secret underwear. but eep. 3/$28 is a lil steep... but I suppose it IS victoria secret. but yeah. what a great motivational gift. :) it'll be like a lil mini thing. I plan to have that too when I reach my 50 pound loss. I haven't decided what it'll be yet. but I better decide soon. it's only about 10 pounds away. :D

Crunchie - I can... but seriously, I'd feel like a rabbit. I'm already constantly eating veggies. so the only thing left is to just simply move more. p'-'q *rolls up sleeves and gets ready to shake her booty*

Scarlett - Actually, maybe my body DID. cause I re-weighed myself and it says I was 168 today. which if it's true... LOL. that means I already lost 2 pounds for my team. lol. we'll see though. my weight fluctuates so often and my scale is kinda wonky.

Week 3 Challenge: Move More! (Cumulative)

Day Sixteen:
Welp, intake for today was around 1350 calories. Not bad. Breakfast was cereal with milk and a piece of laughing cow cheese again. I gotta go buy more laughing cow cheese... I'm down to my last piece or so! eep! Lunch was a runza wrap and half a pummelo fruit. Snack was air-popped popcorn with no butter, just a lil salt. Dinner was a grilled chicken breast sandwich on white, a lil salad dressing, lettuce, tomatoes and fat free Kraft mozzarella cheese. Intake for the day 3 liters. Maybe more... I'm really thirsty. I guess cause although my calorie intake is low, I had alot of sodium today. :( So I'm drinking more cause I feel parched. I'm gonna go to bed in about an hour or so. I stopped eating 2 hours ago or so. As for moving, I did what I said I would do and got off the bus a stop earlier and walked the rest of the way home. Tomorrow, I'll do the same... I'll walk a stop or two from my bus stop before getting on, and then get off a stop or two before I'm supposed to. Not in the morning though cause I'd run late for my course. But definitely when I'm going back home.

Tomorrow will be runza wraps again for lunch. Undecided about dinner though. Hmmm.

EDIT: OH! I forgot to mention... Tomorrow is my appointment with my endocrinologist. Wish me luck guys. *crosses fingers* Maybe I've lost enough weight so I can cut back on my pills. Eep. She last saw me at 292 pounds. I'm about 270 now. Eeep.

Good luck at the drs!!! And thtas so awesome that youve already lost 40lbs, I guess I never realized that.. thats how much I've lost to, and it feels fantabulous :D
I buy my laughing cow cheese at costco, 4packs for $7, pretty good deal :)
Have a great day tomorrow :)

Thanks Jess. And... wow. That IS a steal. I get Laughing Cow at a nicer grocery store. I can't find it in the cheaper ones. So it's like $4.50 for ONE pack. eep!!

Week 3 Challenge: Move More! (Cumulative)

Day Seventeen:
It rained ALL DAY today. Yucky. I was soaking wet. Bleh. I love the rain but not when I'm in it!! :p So I ended up not doing the extra walking when gettign off the bus thing. After I type this out though I plan to shake my booty and dance around my room though for fun. :D:cool: :p

I ended today with about 1150 calories. A lil on the low side but not bad. Lunch was 16 pc of wheat thins and a slice of smoked turkey breast. Gotta pick up some tomorrow along with my Laughing Cow! And... Mmm. I didn't have my cereal cause I was running late today so I needed something I could stuff in my bag and munch on while on the bus. Lunch was also more portable... I made a simple smoked turkey breast sandwich - 2 pc of toast, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, turkey breast. Dinner... I was planning to make maybe beef burritos or spicy szechaun eggplant again. BUT my beef didn't defrost yet in the fridge. :( The outside is defrosted but the inside was icy. So I made a runza wrap with the extra filling and had some homemade beef consomme soup. In Chinese culture, we love our broths and soups cause we believe it gives you back nutrients and can help restore our chi. No worries though the way my Mom makes soup there's almost no salt. And after she boiled it, she froze it and then skimmed off all the fat. My family doesn't eat alot of fatty foods anymore or alot of salt. And I eat even less now!

In other news, my doctor's appointment came... and... I STILL gotta keep taking the diabetic medication. :( Sigh. We'll reevalutate if I'll need to keep taking it when I go see her again in December. According to her records, I've lost 26 pounds since I saw her in February. Not bad I suppose. Hopefully, I'll weigh even less so that by December I can be off them. On the bright side though... My blood sugar levels are now average. Since I've lost weight and taken control of my eating habits (ie: less carbs, less meat, less sugar), my average sugar level these past 3 months have been good.

I've started defrosting some chicken. So we'll see what's for dinner tomorrow. Maybe spicy szechaun eggplant and beef. Or maybe chicken & mushroom spaghetti with a low fat cream sauce. Hmm. We'll see which one defrosts first!! hehe! Okay, time for me to start dancing...

*rocks out to Beyonce's Crazy in Love* :D

OK, give me the recipe for the chicken and mushroom spaghetti.

I tried the Szechuan eggplant recipe you gave me. I loved it!! Very filling and pretty low in calories.

Sounds like your appointment went well. Hang in there...you will be off those meds in no time.

Hey Darlin!!
It looks like you're doing just GREAT!!! So impressive with your food intake!! You're totally on top of it all it seems!!! Keep it up!!:D
