Project C

Hi C! Thanks for checking on me. I like your summer plan, I am going to start one tomorrow too! Let's do it!!

I hate it when I can't find good plus size clothes. I shop at a place called Torrid here, it's amazing, stylish clothes for the big ladies. hehe Do they have those there??

We are totally there for you! I know what you mean - Halifax doesn't have a great selection either. I have seen some great clothes on ebay though. Have a great trip!!!

Thanx for the cheers guys. :D

And MissJellyBelly... we do have a FEW plus sized stores... but nothing like Torrid at all unfortunately. That's why I'm eager to go and see what they have. I've seen the website... but I need to actually put it on to get a feel of how it'd look on me. Y'know what I mean?

C's SUPER SUMMER CHALLENGE!!

Ladies and Gentlemen....

C's SUPER SUMMER CHALLENGE
has now begun!!! :D

Well, like I said, the Summer Challenge is about getting back to basics...
(1) - Portion control/low cal & low fat diet
(2) - Journaling on my Fitday account
(3) - Making sure I get 2.5 liters a day of water
(4) - Exercising at least 3x a week (most likely M/W/F and alternatively T/Th/Sat)

Current Weight: 274 pounds (124.28 kg)

Week 1 Challenge: Breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day (Cumulative)
I've slacked off some and totally skipped breakfast at times. So starting today I'm gonna have breakfast every day. Probably cereal or oatmeal usually with a protein of some sort like a boiled egg. Hmm. And a glass of milk cause I'm a girl and I need my calcium. heh.

C - Congratulations on taking your new step today!!

The Super Summer Challenge is officially Here!
:)

Hey there- good luck with your Super Summer Challenge! While it doesn't go through August 31st- there are a few of us starting a 6 week weight loss challenge on the Clubs forum today. You should join us over there for the first 6 weeks so you can have extra people help hold you accountable for your goals.

Your summer slim down program sounds great. Really puts a bee in your bonnet and anyone's who reads your journal.

I love the fitday journal thing too. I use the calorie part to journal my calories and I use the journal part to keep track of my ww points.

Your doing so well and I love the new plan idea.

Keep it up!

Hi C - I love your 20 pound challenge between now and August 31st because I would like to do the same. That's almost ten weeks and totally doable. WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!

And your list of 100 reasons why you'd like to lose weight from many pages back...... I identified with so many of them, as I'm sure many folks did. But it was very poignant to see them in black and white. Really makes you stop and think so thank you for sharing that with us.

Ok, with talk of a list, I had to go back and see what it was. ;) That is awesome! Anytime you feel like giving up, I bet that is a good thing to look back on. Maybe I should do one of those too. I just wanted to point out one thing. One of your reasons was cause you don't want to get thyroid probs. Being overweight doesn't cause thyroid probs but the thyroid probs can cause you to be overweight. ;) Many people just don't know they have thyroid problems until after they have suddenly gained a lot of weight.

Hello Initial C! I've just read your diary for the first time. I am so impressed with your progress and I really like your honesty. Best of Luck to you.

M2M - Thanx on checking up on me... Twice! :) I appreciate it. Yep. The Summer Challenge is here and so's summer... BOY! Is it hot!!

valapalooza - Thanks for the invite but I think this summer challenge is a lil more personal for me right now and that's why I didn't start up a public summer challenge. I appreciate the offer though. :)

crunchie - Thanks Crunchie!!

Jenn - Yep. Isn't fitday great? I use it keep track off mainly food/nutrition/fat and weight. Not so much for exercise though I must admit. Y'know what's hard? Getting all your nutrition in in one day. Gah! I always find I'm short on something. That's why I've started taking multi-vitamins and calcium tablets.

Scarlett - heh. You can make a summer challenge for yourself too! We can totally do it together! :) As for the list... I got the idea actually from another poster a few years ago. She posted 10 reasons or so about why she wanted to lose weight. I guess I started... And found I could go on and on. Up to 101 in fact. I like to use it as a motivator.

Hyppo Hippo - ah. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if one lead to the other or not or if they were just correlated.

Pineola - Thank you for stopping by! :)

I can't believe how much happier and more energetic you are sounding here lately. I think you are going to great this summer!

Week 1 Challenge: Breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day (Cumulative)

Day One:
Today I did okay. I woke up late and had breakfast, and a really late lunch. I was busy talking to my long-distance boyfriend on MSN... And I totally did not even realize what time it was. heh. You know how it is. When you're all goofy feeling full of love, everything is forgotten including any grumbles in the stomach. :p Well, I journalled everything. I ended up having a bigger late lunch and a small almost snack like dinner (mini-salad). It was alright. Ended up with just a lil over 1000 calories today. A lil under but that's cause I had a small salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, no dressing or salt). I'm still working on my water. So yes, JellyBelly, I AM drinking my water. I'm chugging it now in fact. :D After I finish this bottle, it'll be 2.5 liters for the day.

I didn't exercise today cause I spent SO many hours online with my boyfriend. :p That's okay though, I had actually originally intended to exercise T/Thur/Sat this week. So I'll take a nice long walk tomorrow. If it rains (which there might be according to the weather network), I'm gonna use the stepper for 30 minutes or so while I watch TV. Figured it'd be about the same if I had walked outdoors for 30 minutes anyways. The whole idea is just to move more.

Tomorrow, I'll be grocery shopping. I've told my mother that I'll be making the majority of my meals now. Since I wanna do a low-fat/low-cal diet. I've already planned out chili, runza wraps, burritos/fajitas, beef stew, spaghetti with tomato sauce with ground beef, and spaghetti with cream of mushroom with chicken. Those will be the big ticket dinner meals. Lunch is usually a sandwhich or something simple.

Yes, you ARE in control! Just telling your mom you'll take care of your meals is huge - that does put you in the control seat :D

Exactly where you belong!

Keep it up :D
