PinkyDolly's Diary

Hey pinkdolly,

I gotta say I agree with everyone else! Great new avatar and you are a cutie! Can't wait to see some pics from the new camera!

As for the ulcers and spicy food, no worries at all! I cured myself of those problems years ago with the master cleanser and now that I am so much fitter and healthier I can eat food that would have hurt me to look at before... I bought a small jar of pickled peppers here the other day.... So cheap I couldn't believe it (and from the import store too!). When I eat these little things I am reminded of the old bugs bunny cartoons where the character eats something spicy and flames come shooting out of their ears..... Come to think of it, I haven't got any hair in my ears.... And what are those sotty black marks on the earlobes...?

I think thats great that there are so many steamboat restaurants there. I have eaten on the real deal so I am jaded now and miss that "real" Chongqing cuisine. But the thing I miss the most is something I am suprised I remembered. Of course in China it is no secret that men, especially doing business, LOVE to drink large amounts of alcohol. And usually it is that god awfull 50-60% Bai jiu (white alcohol for those who dont know). Back home we call it moonshine or more appropriately "paint thinner". Well, after a particularly successful business deal the boys took me out to show there appreciation. And though I did not partake in the "lovely ladies" that were lined up and offered to me (another story in itself...) I did "accidentally" let a bunch of bai jiu get into me. Needless to say by the time I was walking, no, staggering back to the hotel I was feeling no pain and could have been on the moon for all I knew.... Then I saw her... She wasn't beautiful, nor was she charming, but she had one of those little street corner BBQ's that many people shy away from. I had a peak and picked out a couple slices of paper thin bean curd. BBQ'ed with spicy sauce, stuck on stick for 8 cents. I then proceeded to continue back to the hotel with treats in hand.

Wow!!! Super spicy and SUPER DUPER good!!!!! I will remember those little street corner treats till the day I die and would go back to CQ in a second to get them..... And who knows, once the summer is over, I just might.

Forget the history and the shopping and the spicy food, I want THAT tofu again and again and again.....

sirant

oh dat colleague bought pickled peppers too! I added them to my seafood soup and it tastes so yummy. I miss those roadside stalls overseas. Be it in china, japan, korea.... they hv such good food. I must commend u on your will power to be able to lose weight in such environment. Think I'll buy 3 to 6 sticks at once lol.
We've something called Pasar Malam here. It's like a flea market selling bags, shirts, watches, utencils and FOOD! Glorious bbq food and malay food! A burger called Ramly Burger..... originated in Malaysia. Special sauce and the egg stuck on beef pattie. Now lots of pasar malam stalls have them. Also corn niblets with salt n butter.... steamed peanuts..... fishball sticks, chicken wing sticks, crabsticks... all kinds of stuff on sticks. and Jap prawn balls... Taiwan XL chicken chop.... I miss those food.

But wat the ?!?!?! I turn on the tv and it happened to be The Biggest Loser Season 2 showing. Didn't they ended the season long ago?! How come it's on tv again?! What a reminder. :drooling: I guess the Pasar Malam is a no go.....

So i didn't go to the pasar malam. I went for a long walk at the park and took some pics. Will save them to my pc tmr. Some are quite nice i think.

After the walk, went to have dinner at the food court. I ate Thai food! I realise I can't stand the taste of white rice now. Only took 3 spoons and instead finished the dish of veg, tomyam soup and beasprouts stirfry w/ seafood.

Oh and I am so excited! I got a new epilitical trainer! It was too hard to resist when I walked into the shop....heh. Plus it comes with programs! And it was on discount! Hoho... adds more motivation to hit more calories. It will be delivered on Saturday and I intend to start using it right away! I'll be waiting for it in my gym gear and all! :rotflmao:

So it'll be a month of eating grass for my meals. But I do feel nice being able to splurge once in a while. Oh and the salesguy says I can sell it back to them within 10 years if I need to get rid of the machine! Cool...
And I saw a pepper red exercise bike too. Looks like a racer. Way damn cool! Err.... better stop thinking abt it. Lol

Hola hola!:jump:

Thanks for comin over. I'm doing very well! Even tho the scales is out to put me off track... I will show it some girrrrrrrrrl power!:flame:

Tammy - Oreos?! They make your teeth black! Nice flowers yea... I love the cafe next to them. Very nice concept.

Sun - yea.... one reason I don't run on the road is cos of the vehicles fumes. Can't breathe! That park is good place to walk and reflection.

Hehe.... yea... let's start an elliptical club! i'll be an official member after 6pm on Sat. Tho I think my mileage wld be low for a start.

The exercise bike are like racing bikes except it's stationery lol. even the seat looks like real racer type. It's imported frm States i think. The seat level is too high for me! lol.... First time in my life that I needed to stretch my toes (yes TOES!!!) to peddal a bike. So i didn't get it. I might hv consider if they have one for asian build.

huh???? wat hint? :p

So I had dinner at the beach yesterday.... Ha but I didn't take many photos cos we were too hungry!

First one is my before (183 pounds/83kg) and 2nd (130 pounds/59kg) is my current. I realised it is hard to smile with the wind comin against ya! See my ribbon flying!
The other two is the view from the restaurant by the beach. :)

Weighed in yesterday at 130. Up by a pound. But strangely I could fit into a 27 inch slim pants at G2000. So i am guessing the extra could be muscle or something. I've never bought a 27 inch skirt/pants/berms before! :jump:

Now still 7 hrs to go before my epillitical cross trainer arrives. I can't sit still! I've made space in my room so I can exercise in privacy. I'll go shopping for some music dvds later.

Btw, anyone has any recommendation for hot pumping music/songs for intense cardio?

Hey you. You're skinnnnnnneeeeee...nice pictures! Congrats on the elliptical trainer. How many hours now? ha ha Eating grass and exercising, you'll disappear!
