PinkyDolly's Diary

yea peguin right.... and i'll promise right after that there'll be lots of leaders coming to me and counsel me!

Stressful in this environment.... urgh.

One thing that surprises me is that so many of the ladies here have hubbies who love them so much even tho with the weight issue. I can laff my a** off if there's one in within 100 km here. Good men are rare where I live!:(

Pinky, thanks for stopping by my journal... now on to the motivational thing. Um, yeah, today is a good day. Last night is a different story. My husband left for a mini-deployment with his ship, and despite my best efforts to be good, I had an evening of emotional eating. I made a small batch of blueberry muffins and ate all 5 of them. that's 550 calories just through muffins. Good thing I ate well the rest of the day, because that was not a good thing. I should have distracted myself with scrapbooking or a shower or something, but I didn't. Hopefully you have more willpower than I do. Stay away from the late-night bingeing!!!!!!! PS: my quote below should be enough motivation :p

Thanks doxie... u kinda cheered me up a little. Yr hubby is in the navy? Hope u'll hv a good healthy time even tho he's away. When will he be back?

I've been good the past 7 days. Didn't eat after dinner. And that forces me to eat something at breakfast as my tummy was growling away after i woke up. I find that this forum and other fitness websites keep me from wanting to eat so much. Esp when reading motivational entries like yours heheh....

So far so good. Thinking abt what I wana do after reaching my goal. Hope before Christmas!

1. Driving (don't see the need since public transport is so good here and my country is so small! But it's a skill! Plus I can take over frend's car when he's not in town... heheeh)
2. Swimming (yep i can't swim!) and wakeboarding
3. Rock Climbing
4. Ballroom dancing, jazz, hip hop. Oh and adult ballet!!!!

Will add on when i can think of more.....:D

Hey Hon!!

Doing great....I love the feeling you get when you can fit into things you couldn't before....me it was a pair of size 15 pants at Reitman's. I never EVER thought I would get there. I had the negative self image and now its all positive. I'm feeling good today...albiet a little tired.

u hv a gd rest gal! rest well so that u can walk longer.... haha.

rosered.... I tot of another goal. Fall in love and get married! heh....:p

Ok. For exercise today, i burnt abt 320 cal by walking/jogging. Haha, first time I need to rush off to toi to pee cos I forgot to go before I went on the treadmill! Think the security guard (they r on duty in evening) must be thinking this gal is crazy stepping on the treadmill for 5 min only and rushing out lol.:p

OOps. I forgot to eat dinner. I went shopping after workout. The mall i went to has a big dept store. I seemed to hv gatecrashed a by-invite-only sale. Cos when I walked in, there was a nice salesgirl who greeted me at the door and then i saw men dressed in black with trays of cocktail and pastries. They were serving guests like in a grand ballroom function. Except this was in a dept store! Hahaha.... was so tempted to eat for free! But decided I wld eat after shopping for a few items. But I got carried away with the clothes dept and forgot to eat! Oops. Hope that wont jeopardize my metabolism.

And I was right abt yesterday's cravings! Urgh. Period.

Thanks everyone! I'm surprised to be able to slip into that pair of capri so soon. So the next 7 days is very impt. I need to keep up the healthy food and exercise/walk more. Alas! my period is here! Urgh. Think i need to compensate with lower calorie meals these few days. I hate to workout when I'm hvg that. Yucky feeling.

Mandy, i eat whatever is within my calorie range. Boiled chicken, broccoli, cabbage, cheese, milk, seafood. I miss fried chicken wing! Havn't had those for like a month?! I know I can't go to the canteen and buy chicken wing or else I'll start going every morning again.... (yes, every morning. I used to take it every morning without fail:eek: !)

Today's breakfast:
Glass of milk, annnnnnnnd melted string cheese over tomato! (wow, never know that melted cheese taste so gooooooooooood with tomato. my colleague tot I went insane when she saw the food. but after letting her have a small bite, she just went WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!:p )

Just borrowed a book from the office library. "Deadly Emotions" by Don Colbert. Hahha.. He actually wrote a book before this "What Would Jesus Eat?" Gotta get my hands on that book too.

"Deadly Emotions" discuss how those emotions hv toxic effects on the body and result in a wide range of serious illnesses. On the book cover, it lists:

Anger and hostility - Hypertension and coronary Artery Disease
Resent, Bitterness, Unforgiveness, and Self-Hatred - Autoimmune Disorders, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Multiple Sclerosis
Anxiety - Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Panic Attacks, Mitral Valve Prolapse, and Heart palpitations
Repressed Anger - Tension and Migraine Headaches, Chronic Backpain, TMJ and Fibromyalgia

No wonder I get IBS all the time.... too anxious abt weight loss! lol

Flipped thru and this book really covers a wide range.... low self worth, perfectionism, hostility, anger, rage and many more. Think i'll hv a good time reading it tonite.

The first chapter's title is interesting :What You Feel Emotionally Becomes How You Feel Physically

Melted string cheese over a tomato? Ooo Sounds yummy! How do you fix it? Microwave the cheese then pour the melted stuff onto half of the tomato? Microwave the cheese AND the tomato together? lol All my luck I'd do that and the tomato would explode :p heh

See this link
Be careful of the pics tho..... they speak into your mindddddddddddddd. hah.

Oh my goodness you weren't kidding! I'd been craving curry since you posted that link!! Finally made it tonight with some miso soup. Turned out soo good!! The parents like it but complained it was too spice... just can't please everyone

Oh! and the cheese on the tomato.. I love doing that. I put it on a piece of tiny toast and melt the cheese under the broiler to make the cheese all melty and brown... mmmm

Heh.... i used the toaster to make the melted cheese tomato. Just cut up the cheese and place it nicely on top of the tomato and it'll be ready in 5-8 min! I'm gonna do this for the next 2 breakfasts too yummmy!

Peguin so u know why it's so difficult to control food portion here. There's lots and lots of good food! Hmm.... the curry we have is much more spicer. Most americans won't be able to handle it.... lol. U shd try Chili Crab sometime. That's a signature Singapore dish! Hehehz.....

Off to lunch now with the usual salad. Hv a great day!:)

Oh toaster... DUH rofl... I don't have a toaster oven, guess I could try it in the regular oven though huh :) Dern.. it's making me hungry just thinking about it but I can't eat anymore today!

I put too much cayenne pepper into my salad just now... was sniffling away. SHIOK! (Singlish....means 'What a kick!):D

Amunet..... can try the melted cheese tomato for breakfast! control yrself!

Just hv to share something... it's just so funny. I walked to the pantry just now and on my way back, I felt my panty started slipping down! OH manz..... thank God no one was around that area when I started pulling up. The long skirt kinda saved an ugly sight too, lol:p

I can save $ not buying new clothes, bt i can't save on my undies! :(

Snack: 2 table water biscuits, 12 unsalted almonds and one cup of icy milo.

Goin to get sm undies after work. And pick up extra pairs of gym pants. So i dun hv to do laundry so often hahahaha.

I'll skip workout today. Dun feel like doing it these few days. Shopping will be the workout! Yeah!:D
