Food sounds good. It's great to hear your knee is alright. Just go easy on it for a little while though. You don't wanna risk putting too much strain on it.

Today has been stressful with a capital "S" I will be hitting the treadmill soon for some good ole LISS. Sorry, I can't do HIIT yet.. I'm still waiting for the knee which seems to have been hurting more since the doc/x-rays.

Stress is due to a potential presentation that I could have been forced to give today, and was not prepared for AT ALL! I have been unable to sleep for the last few days, and with class cancelled on Tuesday, I was pretty sure that I could push my presentation to this next Tuesday. .. I got lucky! I was able to do that. I got back my transcription for my Ling project and got an A on that part, let's hope I do as well with the paper that I'll get back on Tuesday and the presentation.
I also got an A- on my first exam in Pre-1800 British Literature. I finally turned in my Major cards (I guess it's about time, I'll have 91 credits after this semester, and I haven't declared a major, although I have known it all along)...it actually came out in my favor. If I had declared sooner, I would be required to get 39 credits for my Engl Major and now, I'm only required to get 36 wooohooo! So, here I am trying to figure out what I am going to do for the summer sessions now. I REALLY REALLY want to graduate ASAP, but I won't be getting my degree until 2009 At the earliest now.

Just want to say sorry to everyone for not being around much this past week and not stopping by all of your diaries. I'm hoping things will slow down soon and I'll be able to spend more time here. Keep up all the good work!

Today started out interestingly. While making my lunch at 6:45 this AM, I decided on a PB sammich. Once I smeared the PB on the bread, the slice jumped off the counter and onto the floor in front of me. Of course, it couldn't land with the pb side up, so I had to try to smear the pb and bread off the floor and then wash the floor this morning. I did try a second time and was successful in creating the 2nd sammich.

I arrived at school, and was offered a tidbit of information from the admin asst in the front office. She said that the Principal was discussing me yesterday and was interested in talking to me about being hired as a teacher when I am degree'd. :D :D :D Woohoo! I don't know if I'll be living in this area for that much longer, but I am definitely excited about the news.

Wow, barely noon and I am already at 720 cals. I guess this is what getting up at 6:30am will do to me. YIKES!!!!.. water must drink water!!!
 
I'm noticing some things about my knee that I hadn't noticed before. When the doc checked it out, he didn't have me flex my foot toward me flexing the tibalis anterior, muscle on the front side of my leg, I just began flexing it and it causes some discomfort in my knee when I flex.. and since I saw the doc, I have been having pain on the right side when I walk, I also have walked... about 3-4 miles on the treadmill and did about a minute or so of sprinting at 10 on the treadmill.

must be nice to sleep that late in the morning :)

you might be at higher calories but you've also expended a lot more energy too - so you're using them up :)
 
Yeah, Mal's right. If you've been on the go all day, you've been burning calories that you normally would have been sleeping on.

Oooh, really sorry to hear about the knee. Did you think about asking the doc what he/she thought about physio? You might not actually need it, but it would likely be in your best interest to at least go have an assessment by a physiotherapist.

Do you do any flexibility work?
 
Ok.. can someone tell me what Mrs Weather was thinking (& yes it has to be MRs).. yesterday 80 degrees .. right now, 36 degrees. Ummm... WHY? WHY tease us with this beautiful weather and then say, "chance of snow and frigid temperatures" ???? Grrrrrrr!
