Photocrazed - Journey to a Healthy lifestyle

Ok, I got my rear up and on the treadmill! My weekly goal was 8 miles, and my actual was 10.45, so that's 2.43 miles today!!! YEAH! I have reset my mileage for this week Starting on Sunday!

Hey - that's great on the mileage! Great job :) I thought the amount fat sounded like a lot too? I thought I read that 20-30g was good. I'll try and find out some more about that... will let you know what I find tomorrow :)

Thanks, I see that you went out and did a run outside.. you deserve more Kudos than me!!! Good luck at your party and your on your long run tomorrow!

I just read all of your journal just now, and you have been quite successful. Great job on the 7 pounds. 7 pounds is a lot. And it feels great to put out exercise goals and then meet them. It feels like you are pushing yourself and increasing your body's limits. That's a great feeling, like an athlete almost or something. anyway, you're doing great.

I also used that BMR formula, and I figured out what to lose 1.5 pounds a week, I need to consume around 1300 calories a day. Thanks for posting how to do the calculations.

Thanks! The 7 lbs is all weight I have gained probably since Thanksgiving. =( and what took me all of January to lose.. with a real focus these last 2 weeks.

I was really excited when I met my exercise goal on Thursday and I'm going to stick with this goal for February and then maybe increase the goal for March. I really don't want to increase until my body is used to getting this much exercise per week. I really am pushing myself and some days it is harder than others. My hubby wants me to be healthy and understands my need to exercise so it helps most days, but he has been working long hours and we haven't seen much of each other so I feel bad about exercising when he's been around.

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Thanks!!!

I got up this morning and checked the scale and was unhappy to see it was 1.2 lbs more than yesterday, so that kicked my butt into gear! I'm pretty sure I did a good job at counting my calories because I was writing everything down, multiplying and dividing etc.

I'm thinking I might try to get on the machines tonight and do some strength training, or do my calisthenics workout since I haven't started that yet.

you are doing great. I only ben here a couple of times. you are doing great. keep up with everything

:) dont worry about the 1pound gain you will have worked alot of it off on the treadmill and now that you have your calorie amounts sorted you will be able to settle into a routine for your body.
running tomorrow morning dont forget

Thanks everybody!

Yes, Sophie, I started a day early per se, but I can't commit to do it everyday since I don't know what my days are going to be like MWF. :( So, I'm stuck to a firm commitment T/Th and when I can MWF before breakfast and when I can't, after work etc.

I gotta get back to the books though. I am reading Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales and unfortunately it's not the translated to modern English version, so it's taking me a while. :(

I'm trying to get on the treadmill in the morning also. I've set my alarm for 445 am, but have only actually woke up once to do it. I need the motivation to just get out of bed and run. That one time I did, I felt like the nergizer bunny. Maybe I should just wear my workout clothes to bed...I'm going to try that challenge also.

Well, I'm 12 calories up from the 1324 cals that I should be at, and that is only if the.....nevermind. I didn't finish my muffin today, so I'm probably right at or just under the calories for all foods except I'm not sure about that low fat cappuccino. Hmmm. Maybe I should cut those out until I can come up with the caloric value.
