Thanks Em I got a walk in last night so happy it was a humid eve for sure .

Cate I have looked after her a few times now . It’s not easy and a worry alright . But she is independent still which is great . Long may it continue.
Rob thanks for your support too .

Thanks Em it’s was a good weekend . Walked lots on Sunday. Been busy back at work since and unfortunately sick pooch again . Thankfully vet now accepts we need to investigate further so hopefully we get an answer.
Food going well and walking is too . I feel so much better and fitter . Achilles heel is flaring but I took a rest day Saturday and walked 15km Sunday , 4 km Monday so rested it again yesterday although that was enforced due to doggy .
it does feel a bit better today and swelling is not so obvious on heel . Maybe I need to take a couple of rest days during week . I walk in town shopping and housework anyway so I’m not idle .
Work is still busy and I desperately need a break . Maybe September I will take a week . been an odd year so far . I have all my leave still to use and I’m in month 8 now .
 
then definitely try to get that week in September. We all need a break sometimes and more so when circumstances are so weird. I hope the doggy will be ok :grouphug:
 
I booked the first week of September off Petal - I’m not planning on going anywhere but I just need the headspace. Definitely book a week off before the days get too short.

Sorry to hear your dog is sick again but hopefully they get to the bottom of it soon.
 
Thanks LaMa and everyone will keep you posted . She just ok at moment . Rob ,Em, Cate and Jack I will aim to book a week in September. Bit like you Em not to go anywhere plus with these regional restrictions right now it's hard. Have a weekend booked in October and maybe will book another. Invited to Scotland when quarantine ends but that will be winter if ever !!

At least my time is productive recently so that's good. Tired though and I'm noticing today I want to eat more . Need to be really careful

Unless things get worse, I can't see people spending another year without leaving the country. At least this summer has been good, but I think winter is going to be hard with the restrictions still in place.

Do be careful, a lot of people have more temptation when tired. You are doing great, I am sure you will continue to!

And you need to find a way to do something with that September holiday thing. Even if its not far or exotic, different is what helps.
 
Hi, Petal. I'm so far behind that I'll be ages catching up, but I wanted to say hello. :waving:I'm sorry to read your little dog is ill - hope it gets sorted out soon. It's horrible feeling anxious about an animal. :(
About not leaving the country - is there a border restriction to say you can't leave at all?
 
Thanks Amy she is improving but very conflicting advice from vet . Hard to know what’s good or bad but thankfully it’s not life threatening just hard on the dog . Hate to see them sick . Don’t worry about reading my diary . Pretty much same old same old for me

Lama and Cate thanks for your support. Rob I think I won’t be too far from home but promise to do a few different things .
 
Em she is doing ok although a bit lethargic but then again so am I lol . We have a lot of trial and error ahead with the dog now . Vets push their own agenda to a degree . It’s scary sometimes that they don’t know what the are prescribing but we question them and work closely with them. I think they know now we want info so they have to do their homework . We are also thinking of contacting a reputable holistic vet now and sending the lab reports to her . We will obviously have to pay for this but might be worth it .
Had a nice day yesterday. Took a break from my walking and I pottered in the garden . Had a few errands to run . It was a beautiful summers day and I actually bought myself an ice cream . A mint choc chip , the choc was dark and big chunks and I enjoyed every single bit . I was on my own and I did not feel guilty . Haven’t had one since before my birthday in June .
When I was getting dressed yesterday I pulled on some high waisted sport leggings and my sports bra and got a shock when I saw myself in the mirror . I had a good figure . Must be all the walking because I haven’t lost weight really . Beginning to think I never will but not too worried . Not going to starve myself just keep to my very healthy lifestyle of food and exercise and if it drops happy days if not I’m ok.

Thanks Lama it’s not easy at times I had a bit of a wobble on fri night . Felt overwhelmed and hemmed in and tearful . Thank god better now . Bound to happen at times
 
Doing great despite not feeling great is extra impressive. Also: having an icecream every once in a while is not a bad thing! And being pleasantly surprised by the mirror is :party:
