Petals diary

Haha, the flobathon on this page made me laugh as well. Best of luck for your weigh-in tonight Petal. You might be back now, hopefully the bloating was just an illusion.

Yes I'm home Em . Well I don’t know whether it was the super binge free week I had combined with sticking to plan and listening to the weight loss hypnosis but I lost 2lb . I had been thinking I would lose as my morning weight has been pretty good . I reached 2 stone this eve after 5 months . I’m delighted .
Interesting thought- normally on weigh night I eat too much or something like I shouldn’t like my husbands crisps maybe or extra bread . But just kept to my normal plan . Is it the hypnosis I wonder ?

Well done Petal, you are doing amazing! If you think the hypnosis is working, just keep going with it. You deserve the 2 stone loss, you are being really consistent and that's how you get the results. :)

You should be! And I am for you.

It will be interesting to know if you decide the hypnosis is helping I may think about trying it. The idea has always kind of intrigued me, but after my one experience with the charlatan I never took it to seriously.

I assume you are weighing in at your meetings, you know that probably adds a pound or two. I know I always weigh more in the evenings than in the morning (when I officially weight in), and you are probably wearing more clothes than you would weighing at home. Where were you when you started weighing in? You could be down more than the 2 stone. No big deal, the big deal is that you stuck to your diet for over 5 months and have achieved a very impressive goal!

Thanks everyone. Yes Rob I weigh in at meeting . There is probably a 3lb difference from my morning weight and evening weight. I wear the same clothes every week though a tshirt and leggings. But I have started to weigh at home maybe 3 mornings a week because it keeps a check on it for me.
I cannot make class next week so at least I have my marker . I would be happy to maintain for next 2 weeks as I have visitors , Halloween and a few outings. I will try keep to plan except for a couple of outings where it maybe more difficult.

As long as you don´t go crazy on those special occasions (eat like a thin person and all that) I´m sure you´ll be fine. And don´t forget to enjoy the non-food parts of the occasions!

Thanks Lama after writing on Amy’s 170 club page it made me realise I really want to be in the 170s now so I am going to do exactly that and try for a loss . My plan allows me to eat out so I’ll just do what I have been and asking for the dressing on sides and checking how things are cooked . For Halloween I was thinking of little oranges for the trick or treaters but I need to have candy for them too . The fear is I will eat it so any ideas

I love red liquorice or all sorts and I kind of like jelly beans .
I will get some of those lolly pops maybe . Daughter is hilarious and said let’s turn off the lights and no one will call . Lol

I had a great diet day today . I am going to weigh in the morning to keep me on track but not again until Monday . Have guests arriving tomorrow eve until Sunday sometime. We will be eating out both nights . Did loads today made soup , laundry , had to go to work and the vets . Busy busy day .

I will try get them out walking Saturday. A good breakfast and lunch but I’m ok with all that . I’m still not craving lots of food and just eating at mealtimes really . My snacks are fruit and my little choc bar at night with cup of tea. Is it hypnosis I don’t know really but I really want this weight loss so maybe it’s just pure determination .

Any popular candy you can't stand?
Clever thinking, LaMa! Those little hard round lollipops on sticks, for instance, are one kind of lolly that would be perfectly safe with me - anything in the jellyish line on the other hand - jelly snakes, anyone? But (ahem!) to talk more healthily:
Cheering you on, Petal, for the weekend going well, with pure determination, and forward planning, and (hopefully) co-operative guests, who'll enjoy a walk out and about, seeing what they see. That's something I love doing myself - just walking in a new place, and enjoying seeing what's there. Even better if there's greenness and freshness, or intriguing history and architecture and so on, of course! And in good company, best of all! :)

I believe you will do just fine this weekend, you are prepared and stubborn, you can and will do it. Remember Amy's "Circulate don't Masticate" its a great thing to live by.
I am what you would call an old fashioned Irish mammy.
I don't see that at all, you are hard working and dedicated, but not a mammy. This is what I think of when I think Mammy:

Enjoy the weekend, you deserve to.
