Petals diary

I love lush green lands so I'm always happy to get the rain that makes them possible. Silly question perhaps but is your bladder actually full when you get up at night or is it just for a little bit? If it's the latter you might want to talk to your doctor.

Hey Petal, Ireland is one of the places on my bucket list. More of my ancestors came from Ireland than anywhere else, so it has always interested me, I've been to a lot of Europe, including the UK, but never Ireland.

Did a forest mountain walk yesterday after work. Sadly we got pretty wet but it was lovely . We never saw another soul so the only sounds were the river and lots of little waterfalls and the rain . Loads of weird doughnut shaped mushrooms I never saw before. Dog enjoyed the big mucky puddles. Think we will go back today if weather has improved .
That sounds nice, I'll bet its very green and lush.

Rob was mr shorty tall ?
About average, as I remember, the nickname was likely acquired when he was young.

LaMa oh it's full lol. I cut back a bit last night on drinking so only went once last night .
Rob a lot of Americans have Irish ancestors. My daughter did a DNA ancestory test and it matched her with about 300 third cousins and above . And these are just people who have done the test too. There was one close match showed up on her dads paternal side . I'm thinking I might do it when I get some spare cash . They have offers on sometimes . Technically when I do she will show as my daughter. I want to do it to weed out the theirs cousins as those we have in common will be my side of the family rather than my husbands so can get a clearer picture.

Returned to the walk today , yes Marsia your type of place and Rob very green and lush . And guess what it rained again. But it was a nice soft rain not like the downpour of previous day . So we just walked . It's a bit far to drive took about half hour so won't be going too often .

As I mentioned in Robs diary I too had a bit of mental food struggle yesterday. Not so much craving crap but just a hungry day. I am aware I am doing well but also aware I need to be careful.

That's me, too, Petal. I often should stop at just 2 meals, but have a third, and so am just maintaining weight atm. Glad you had a less down-pour-y day!

Sometimes our bodies just want more food. It can´t do any harm to check if you´re getting enough of all kinds of nutrients but otherwise these things just come and go.

Rob a lot of Americans have Irish ancestors.
Yes, and its kind of popular to claim you do, even if you don't, lol. The only ones I know anything about is one from Doneraile who came to the US in about 1790, and one from Kilkenny who came in the 1850s. Most of my ancestors came over before 1800, the one from Kilkenny is the only exception I know of, so any family connections in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe would be pretty remote. The southern plantations (and unfortunately slaves) were mostly owned by English and the English brought over Irish to run things for them. It's that class of Irish overseers I am mostly descended from, so the migration was long before the more famous Irish migrations later in the 1800s and into the 1900s. As I said Ireland is a place I would like to visit.

Good to see that you are working through your struggles, it helps me to know others are doing it.

Aw well we had Obama here some years ago because as you know he is Irish lol ;). He enjoyed a glass of Guinness . :cheers2:
So you're a Cork descendant . Beautiful part of the world . Both Kilkenny and Doneraile have castles ( Kilkenny ) and stately home (doneraile ) . I wonder Rob do you descend from royalty ? ;)

Marsia I nearly always have 3 meals . I'm greedy !!!
LaMa I'm pretty satisfied I'm covering all the nutrients . I'm gong to really focus on tracking what I eat for the week as I lost no weight this week . I'm ok with that because I need to be able to live a sustainable plan for me . Oh I did go get weighed straight after a lunch out so I never did that before ! But as I say sustainable method needed for me .

Had a non scale victory though as wore some nice black fitted trousers today that I have not worn in 4 years .

Feels good doesn't it? Good for you!

Not likely! But I am probably at least as Irish as Obama, I also like Guinness so that probably qualifies me. My favorite Irish drinks are Bushnell's Tullamore Dew; every man deserves his Dew.

Rob there is definitely a bit of Irish in you so . Slainte :cheers2:

Thanks ladies super focused here now again today . The road is long with many a winding turn so I'll keep plodding

Lol thanks LaMa
Thanks Amy too and for popping in .
Good day yesterday . Food was on plan and I had a super busy day .
Not much else to say today .

Hi Petal, glad things are going well despite being really busy. Big congratulations on your pants fitting - one of the best feelings ever!!!

Yep. Spammy guy.
