Petals diary

Little things do tend to sneak in when we´re less focused for a while. But I´m sure you´ll get back to kicking ass very soon! For now foot-prodding buttock will have to do.

Fantastic start to both the day and Project Petal with the walk. You got this! :hurray:
Thanks Em

yeah sooner the better Lama . It’s amazing how we can lax on things . But I have rediscovered my walking vibe so I’m very happy with that at least .

all last year clothes are too big and I didn’t really have much summer stuff last year as I was in throes of my weight loss
That has to feel good. And with Project Petal underway I suspect you will be needing smaller clothes yet soon. Probably best not to buy too much right now!

Walking is the best medicine for SO many things.
:iagree:
I have my walking mojo back too, Petal. Now for the back on track eating mojo. We can do it!
We can but just wish it wasn't so damn hard . Still at least we are trying can you imagine if we were not.

Rob I still haven't looked online for any but I suspect another 10lb loss won't change my sizing too much .

I don't want to think about how big I would end up if I gave up altogether! :svengo:
That´s what I tend to think when I hear folks bashing the people from My 600 pound life... I got so close to giving up so many times! Sticking with the right decisions day after week after month after year is hard and if my cravings were just a tiny bit stronger (due to... pcos, past trauma, a different upbringing, or whatever other factor) I might not make it. So... empathy.

I think restarting a diet can be harder than starting in the first place. And you are right, just by trying I believe you have held off any gains, so that's a good thing. Keep up Project Petal, I know you can!

Lama I think I often do give up not really this last 11 months but I have but thankfully something pulls me back . But it’s a fine line at times .
Thanks Jack
Rob you are so so right .
Checking in here is always a bit of a reality check.
Had a fantastic day yesterday. It was such a lovely warm day . Planted some tomatoes and strawberries. I haven’t a clue how to mind strawberries but I will look it up . Had a 30 min walk too .
wishing you all a happy Easter.

Tomatoes and strawberry sound good. Is it warm enough for you to safely plant tomatoes or do you need to protect them from frost. Still a few weeks early here to safely plant frost sensitive things. Good luck with the strawberries, I have tried them several times and never seemed to get enough to make it worthwhile. Shame though, nothing better than a fresh picked strawberry, so much better than store bought.

Rob if it’s too cold I can lift them into the garage .
I think today was my official day 1 of project petal .
I walked nearly 7km and I got back out my food journal and filled it in . I had only 1 snack during the day which was a small banana . Plus my meals .
for me losing weight is more about the food than the exercise as I found the last time but now I’m doing the 2 so hopefully it won’t take too long .

A banana is a great snack, I eat a lot of them. I know you are right about food being more important than exercise for weight loss, but I think it does help, particularly if you don't increase your eating with exercise. I am sure you will do great!

Go Project Petal!
