Thanks for stopping by everyone.

& Howdy Tri!! *big wave*
This whole weight loss thing is so confusing sometimes. Too many calories?? Too few?? Fiber, fat, protein, carb, balance, exercise... It's enough to drive someone batty! You made some really great points, Randy. I'm trying to think about maintaining a new weight after I'm to my ultimate goal even before I get there so that I can avoid a backslide. I don't want to damage my system or stall out my metabolism. As I said when I first committed to this: If I'm going to do this, it has to be done the right way otherwise I'm just going to set myself up for failure.
I'm still learning what 'the right way' is exactly.
So, I reset my Spark goals.
I'm going to back off on the walking, 5 days a week is just too much with the strength stuff
AND Yoga. I'm going to go back to my original plan, 30 minutes of walking 3 days a week, 30 minutes of weights & toning 2 days a week and 40 minutes of Yoga once a week.
This changes my calorie goals as well:
Calories: 1720 - 2070
Carbs: 194 - 336
Fat: 38 - 80
Protein: 43 - 181
Also, I'm going to start tracking Fiber, mostly out of curiosity at this point.
Interesting thing: looking at my overall calorie chart for the past 3 months on Spark, I have exactly 2 semi major (ok major to me) slip-ups a month. I'm nothing if not consistant..lol. I'm not at all upset or surprised by my gain this week, part of it could be muscle since I have been pushing it pretty hard and maybe a bit of water retension... etc. It will be gone soon enough. I actually saw the 270s for a very brief moment this week, that made me smile.
Today I'm going take a
me day, walk with my dogs, enjoy the sunny day, meditate, sit back and read a book for a little bit, take a hot bubble bath and maybe give myself a little mani-pedi.
...but first I have to get one or two sections done on that darn portfolio. 6 down, 6 more to go. It should be a lot easier since I've pinned down a definite layout for that section. Now it's just a matter of filling in the template with my work.
Have a great day everyone!
