Hihi!!!! morning? Mooooorning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss ya! Great on the pounds lost! I need to catch up with you all....

Just got back from my walk - .8 miles... but in 10 minutes!! I shaved like 5 miles off of my mile and didn't even know it. :eek:

I stopped off at my grandpa's house (had to fix his computer). I told him I had to go - that I need to get my walk in before noon.. just making conversation & he says 'you've lost some weight haven't you?!' I told him how much and pulled my coat back so he could see my new hourglass-ish figure...

...and he started to cry.

I made my grandpa cry. :(

"There Goes My Hero" is on the yahoo radio right now, how apropos. That's exactly how I feel about my grandpa, he's the strongest man I know. 80 years old, 6 kids - one who died in a riding accident, countless grand kids & great grand kids, beat cancer once, has been living with another cancer for 2 or 3 years.. and he still works part time to help take care of two of my cousins, who he's been like a father to...

He's like my superman... and I made him cry.

Gah.. now I need to go find a tissue. :(:(
 
Wow, I had a bad morning and reading about you making your grandpa cry made me cry. Maybe he just cried because he's so happy for you. Or maybe he's just emotional like I am today. Damn PMS.
 
Yeah - he cried bacuase he was sooo happy. He's had to watch me sick with other health problems for years and seeing me trying to get back on my feet really touches him. And yes - he has PMS too..lol. He gets lady hormone shots for his cancer in his prostate, the shots help to keep it from spreading. He get emotional very easily.. but I've never made him cry.

*hangs out tissues*... sorry!

You really are amazimg. Honestly inspirational. What a fantastic achievement, you are looking better, officially healthier, impressing your family and doctors, you must be SO proud of yourself!! And YAY on the weight loss this week!!!!!!

You seriously rock :)

Like I said on your pic thread, you kick ass...or something like that. I wish it would stop blowing cold rain here so I could walk. I miss summer.

hey hun... i know all about the grandparent thing.... when I told my grandma that I had been loosing weight (when I was at my heavest til about right before I started here) she started crying on the phone saying how happy she was because she was scared for my heart and my health in general....i hate hearing my grandparents cry....oh god here we go...give me a darn tissue....

I have to count tonight as a crap night. I did sooo bad at the mexican resturant tonight. :eek: My mom was running late so we ended up eating chips for 45 minutes while we waited for her. I only ate half of my meal.. but then we had Bailey's Cream for dessert (LOVE.) when we got home.. so yeah. Crap night. :D

But on a super great plus... Hot Designer Guy added me to his yahoo!! eeee!! *happy dance* :D:D:D ...lol

Food & Activity:
Breakfast: 1 squash muffin, 1 small aple, 8oz milk
Lunch: small salad with ranch, a few sweet potato fries (i burned them :mad:) 1 can oyster stew
Snack: marinated mushrooms, few melba toasts, 8oz V8
Supper: 2/3 basket of corn chips :eek:, tons of yummy salsa, half of a wet burrito, 8oz (?) Bailey's cream, 8oz milk

Totals: aaaaahahahhahahha (2,459 :eek:)

Water: 140oz water (thirsty!)
Exercise: .8 miles in 10 minutes!!

Ok.. I'm going to go spread some more drunkin love!!

I have to tell you how totally impressive you are! I know exactly why your grandpa cried, he is just so proud of you, you are doing so well. You have such a great attitude and the momentum you have is amazing!
keep it up girl! You are probably my biggest inspiration on this site!! Your pics are awesome!!

O and BTW, I am working my crisis counsellor shift, and the phones were REALLY quiet...so I got to reading your diary... back to where it all began!? You should really publish it as a memoir! You are so funny and quite a talented writer! I actually found myself reading through funny story, after funny story!
