Hello Peq,
I just did some catching up on reading and I must
say that is the most crappiest thing I read that a brother can
do 1st off to email you in such a "SISSY" way,phone calls used
to be bad when breaking news to some1 but emailing is just lame
he did sound very cruel!
I would reply don't worry about needing any thing in the future from
me because I am not providing anything if you dod need something!
Geeesh sorry girlie! Hope today is going better for ya and goodluck
on job hunting you'll find something better and work for some1 thats

I'm going to be as professional as possible when writing him back. While I am pissed at him, he's still a client and I may need a professional reference later. Never burn your bridges with family or business. But I have learned one thing - never ever work with family. Everyone always says that but I never got it until now.

And you're right Kdel - everything happens for a reason. While if feels like a ton of things are coming to an end in the period of my life, new things are starting as well and I am sooo excited to see what happens next. :D:D

I can't believe your brother fired you through email. But as everyone else has said business is business and he owes you money. I would call or email him the bill AGAIN, and say that you need to be compensated.....depending on how much it is you can either take the loss or if it is a substantial amount of money you could take it to small claims court...those are just suggestions what ever you decide is your deal. Besides I'm sure because he's family you may of given him a break on the price, like I do with family for catering events,.. if he would of went to another company he could of ended up paying twice as much.... I know my older sister owes me $1200.00 for the 3 months that I lived with her and I know I am never going to see it so it's water under the bridge for me but as I said before it's your decision. Hey Amy, sorry to hear about the brother situation. That's rough to say the least. I am glad to see you've managed to sustain writing a horible email in the midst of anger. Self control is a wonderful asset, not only when dealing with family, but with diets too :)

On an added note, a mile in 15 minutes? Awesome girl, I'm proud of you! You're really kickin ass and taking names :D *hugs*

I'm glad that you've decided to work thngs out with your brother in a professional manner ^^ I'll keep your advice in mind for when I enter the working world. People at jobs can be really insensitive to people who do them favors, no matter how close they are...

I read some more of your journal entries, and I'm so proud of you for sticking to it... You're like my weightloss heroine! =D I don't know how you manage to eat only 1200 calories so often though, I'd be dying, lol.

ya know, it is damn hard to remaine professional with family, so like you said and i always say "never work with your family" (or live with them!!!) you have too much tied up emotionally with these folks to ever work with them!!!! and as far as the money goes......well pepper girl......let it go if it saves you some sanity, And i hope your job searching is fun and rewarding........life gives ya lemons.... well ya know, you are just way to damn funny cute and upbeat to let this get ya down, maybe your life wasn't shifting into a bad phase maybe it was releasing you from the shit that ties you down....so that now you can go persue what you really are meant for!!!!! and you are meant for great things!!!!! Ive "been there done that" so i totally feel for you. You could always be unprofessional and change their 404 page to something stupid like "we're only here to rip you off" or hell just go for the index.html!

What a jerk your brother was. I'm so impressed you could maintain your professionalism. Working for family is tough and I think you hit the nail on the head about his other issues getting in the way. As for your social life and love life--you're a party in a box. They'll make a come back.

I would soo love to mess up his website but at the end of the day, we're still family. Plus I'd hate to have to explain the porn to grandma. I'm going to type something up tomorrow and let my parents read it. They can give me a good opinion on it, make sure it's nice and neutral.

As for the other parts of my life... i just got a phone call from Hot Designer guy!! EEE! We talked for about 2 hours on yahoo & he's going to call me back later. I'm so nervous that I'm shaking right now.. lol. He seems really nice. we have a lot in common so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I wont be sitting at home Friday night.. not that I don't love you guys. :D:D

Edit: He just called.. we're going out tomorrow. Eep! Guys - I haven't been on a date in more than 6 years!!! Any pointers?? oh my god. omg. omg.. I need to go hyperventilate. *dies*


I don't know how I did it with all the crap I ate today.. but holy smokes I came in right at my calorie range. I am utterly shocked. Our homemade baked good for this sunday was a yummy low fat pumpkin pie. I'll spare you pictures but here's the recipe:

Breakfast: 4 pieces of bacon, 2 egg whites, english muffin with margarine
Lunch: PB&J, can of soup
Supper: 1/2 cornish game hen with a honey rosemary glaze, brussel sprouts seasoned with a little bacon & onion, roasted potatoes.
Dessert: low fat pumpkin pie, with cool whip, coffee with a nip of Tia Marie (booze)

Totals:
Later, spark is down :(

Water: 120oz
Exercise: none; rest day

LOL - thanks ashley.. there will be no sexin' going on (not on the first date - I'm not that kinda girl ;) and as my daddy always says "accidents cause people") or drinking (I gotta drive myself home). I though you weren't supposed to talk about ex's?? And I don't care about money - wow i may bomb..lol. I just went back and looked at our chat archives (forgot to write down his phone number) and we talked for over 3 hours!! :eek: ..lol but we didn't last 10 minutes on the phone.
 
Really? I don't know if not lasting 10 minutes on the phone is a good or bad thing....could neither of you think of anything to talk about or did you have to get off for a ligitimate reason? Just trying to keep you safe and have an actual good prospect here hun... I just would think that if you have an online connection then it would be easy to talk on the phone but who knows...I find it very easy to hide behind my computer screen where no one can see me or hear me :)
 
I'm a horrible phone talker.. especially when I'm nervous - which I definitely was. I warned him that I was crap on the phone. Especially with the parents in the next room listening..lol He said he had to get some stuff done, he'd just gotten off work at nine. His hot picture was from a few years ago - he's kinda big now. I :heart: big guys. :D:D lol.. i wish i could post a picture for yall but that wouldn't be right.

I figure worse case, I go back to being the mind mannered pepper girl without a date.. lol

WOW, how exciting!!! lol, just be YOU, and he'll love ya. :D Everything will be great. So what are you guys gonna do? Huh?huh? You definitely have to bring details back, cuz I'm bored and there's no action here. :p

And I totally get the not being able to talk that much on the phone, but can talk loads online. Typing is much easier than actual verbage. But you guys have a lot in common, so I'm sure words will come later. But words are so overrated sometimes, maybe you guys will just sit and swoon over each other all night. ;)

I'm sure things will go great. :D
