Goood Morn- er... Afternoon!!

I had the weirdest dream & y'all were in it - but instead of faces you all had your avatars. It was a party - New Years? And T2 spiked the punch but Pinky didn't know it and fell over drunk and OHD, you kept just waving at everyone. And Iwan brought huge crabs. And Ashley catered the whole thing (she's a good cook!!) And I went home with someone and had copious amounts of wild, freaky 'ect.' but I can't remember who it was because it was dark and I woke up as the lights came on.

Weird dream, it was nuts!

OMG. What did you consume before you went to bed? I want some!!!!!!!

I started tracking my exercise on Spark and I learned something: walking doesn't burn very many calories or least with my times anyway. I wonder why they don't count the weight training as a calories burning exercise??

And the second thing I learned is that for my weight & height & activity level... I need to be eat more. More.. Jebus! How in the world am I going to eat more!?

The new calorie range is: 1640 - 1990. I think I'll shoot for the lowest possible number there. Just barley squeaked in today - thanks mainly to that Muffie. Mmmm it was so yummy!!

Food & Activity:
Breakfast: 3 pieces of bacon, vanilla yogurt with 1/2c. blueberries, 1/4c. granola
Lunch: Homemade spring roll with bok choy & carrots, 8 mini toasts, 1 can of tomato soup
Snack: Pumpkin Muffie (muffin top basically), small coffee with 3T. half & half
Supper: Fajita soup (turned out rather yummy!), 2oz. sesame bread

Totals:
CALORIES: 1,683
CARBS: 251
FAT: 45
PROTEIN: 65


Water: 108oz
Exercise:
Chin Stretches: 50 reps.
Wrist Curls: 50 reps.
Bicep curls: 50 reps.
Tricep curls: 50 reps.
Hammer Curls: 50 reps.
Dumbbell Rows: 50 reps.
Shrugs: 50 reps.
Tricep Kick Backs: 50 reps.
Abdominal twists: 50 reps.
Crunches: 50 reps.
Calf Raises: 50 reps.
Leg Curls: 50 reps.
Squats: 50 reps.

That sure does seem like a lot of cals. What would happen if u go under that? like 1600? Keep up the training, seems like your doing great!

They don't count a lot of things as calories, which is a little frustrating... so figure on the calories burned for walking are like.. bonus calories :D it does give a little incentive to walk a little faster and up your time to move into the next calorie burning range.. :D

And booty shaking does burn calories... :D

I've been using Spark the last week or so and which the whole thing is well designed, some of the stuff just seems off, especially under fitness. It seems to drastically overestimate some exercises (800 cal/hour for an elliptical?!) and drastically underestimate others (150 for a half hour of pilates?!) It also seemed to overestimate my calorie intake. When i started to eat as much as it said, i stopped losing. So, I went back to what worked for me.

In fact, I think I'm going to head back over to fitday, it's easier to enter stuff and I feel more comfortable with the numbers it gives me. Uglier website and no message boards, but at least I can change the portions without having to look up another popup.

walking was an kick azz exersice! I do try to add cycleing
and other activities danceing sounds fun I am not a good
dancer but I maybe I can get my groove on and shake away

I went over to sparkpeople, and I signed up, and they said I should eat like 1600 hundred calories or more too, I think that is WAY too much. I learned a bit about calories when I was on Jenny Craig some years ago. At Jenny Craig they had put me on the 1200 calorie diet and said that I didn't need more than that. And that 1200 was a lot of food!! I weighed about 240 at the time, which is wayyy less than I way now, but I know that the calorie thing wouldn't change that much now.

Maybe some of these sites aren't as accurate as they claim to be.
