Pequin Weight Journal

Another booty shaking milestone y'all....

I did 2 miles today! TWO.. one, two. 2!!!.. my time was great - 20 miles per mile (with a little rest after 1 1/2 miles) and it was constent - it didn't drop at all the last 1/2 mile. And I did it in the rain. I look like a drowned rat now... but I am the happies & cutest drowned rat EVER! lol.. WOOHOO!

Yah!!! I am so happy for you!! What is your goal mileage? Soon you will be a pro telling people "I run 40 miles a week;) )

The drowned rat thing made me giggle!!

Well, I hope you were singing while you were walking in the rain. or at least listening to someone singing.
your doing such a good job Amy.

I take my pod thingy (I named him George and he wears a little blue sweater!) when I walk. He sings to me...lol :D

I'm participating the "Hershey To Christmas Town Challenge" My goal mileage is 500 miles by Xmas. Kind of a daunting goal but I'm up for a challenge. :D

500 miles by xmas? wow, best of luck to you amy! I'm cheering for ya :)

Thanks Mikey, I'm a bit apprehensive about it... If I have any hope of finishing I have to walk 2 miles everyday 5 days a week for the next 9 weeks. But by then I hope to have worked up to at very least 3 miles a day.

I'm kind of sore after my walk today - mainly the back area. I did a half session of Yoga to help loosen it up a bit but it's getting stiff again. I think I need a good massage... by a sexy man with strong hands... *lost in day dream* Oh.. um.. Your're still here? :D

... ok, I'm been staring at this little replay box about 5 minutes for something more to say and I'll be damned if I gots nothing. That walk took all of my steam. *sigh* Sorry guys.

Thanks Toots!! I wish I had a crystal ball sometimes - just to know that things will get easier and that my work will eventually pay off. 25lb is awesome and 2 miles is great but they feel soo tiny when there's so much road ahead.

One step at a time, one foot in front of the other...you are doing a great job...keep up the good work...In Billy Blanks words you gotta give to recieve...well not in those exact words but ya get my drift...I think it is you need to give to get...anyway I am rambling...you are a very positive happy person and you are shinning like a star...a superstar...heeheehee....

Pequin, i hear you!
When id lost 50lb i was happy that i had lost so much but when i looked in the mirror i was astounded that i was still a fat person - it was gutting and disappointing.
Now ive lost 75lb and im seeing the results. Getting the odd person now asking if ive lost weight, but still im fat.
I figure our day will come when you run into somebody you havnt seen in a while and they go "OH MY GOD! have you lost weight?!" its such a buzz.
Ive had it happen once or twice now and its a real thrill to finally get recognized.

You will get the same sooner or later - its motivational.
Whats almost as thrilling is having people seeing you work your ass off for it and say something about it because they KNOW how much you worked for it.

You go girl!

Never been called a positive person before... lol. Guess this forum brings out the good in me. :D And the talkative! I have a senior member thingy under my name.. I just started last month!! Wow.

I know it's a long processes and well worth all the hard work in the end, but I'm just so excited that I just want to be at the end already! I think this will make me a stronger person because in the end I can say - well, I lost xxx amount of pounds and that took guts and large amounts of strength, so maybe I can do this other thing. And this forum is such a great testament to what a good support system can do. In case I don't say it enough.. Thanks! ;)

I think I over did it a bit yesterday. I woke up with a throbbing headache, stiff back and a little jittery... but that could also be due to the fact that I've been off of one of my blood pressure meds for about 3 days now. Either way - I think I will take it easy today - do my yoga, lift a few weights and call it a day.

Hello PEQ,
Hope the nasty headache goes away they seem
contagious lately! Like every1 ^^^ up there said 1 day at a time and
you are doing awesome and if you look at it you lost 25 lbs that is like
2-3 bowling balls(I saw this on a commercial lol)!
If any1 can do it ,it is you you are very motivating and have a gr8
outlook on thing's! Congrats on 25 lbs gone that is awesome!
I still see a huge person when I look in a mirror, I never owned 1 till
a couple weeks ago I finally broke down and bought 1 because I never
want to leave my house wearing something I think I look thin in:rolleyes: !
I have lost 60 lbs which is like me losing my 1 daughter whom is 57 lbs!
I keep telling myself things like that and besides my bad weekend it keeps me going! Hope you have a gr8 Day Tammy

Totally! And with the rest of the nation getting more and more overweight, you can say "I had the strength to conquer that!"

I'm convinced this is the hardest thing I've ever resolved to do, and am actually doing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say that :) And in the end we'll not only look great and be healthy, but we'll know we have the gumption to do so many other things.
