Pequin Weight Journal

I'm feeling so lonely - no one around tonight! "25 (2 members & 23 guests)pequin" :(:( lol..

Anyway - thanks everyone for stopping by.

I did pretty good today - maybe not so much calorie wise (within goal but the upper part - past my personal goal) but it was a good day in the self control department. I split some chinese with my mom - no egg roll and we got garlic chicken instead of the fried stuff with steamed rice instead of the plain fried rice that it usually comes with. And we went to Starbucks where I got a Tall Carmel Machiato - NON FAT! woo dig me! lol.

And we gave Mr. Trucker's soup a whirl.. holy moly it was so yummy!! We've dubbed it "Trucker's Stew", and it's going in the family cookbook as a favorite. AND it's not too bad in the carloie dept! Just 240 for 1c. Woohooy!!

But a trade off - no exercise. So ashamed, especially after the dinner fiasco last night.. but I will do it tomorrow and just call today my rest day. So it's no biggy.

Serious Moment - Avert your eyes!!

Oh I am so jealous you made the soup! We have a soup off contest here every year as a fundraiser for a local non profit combined with an action and believe it or not I won the heart healthy catagory one year. I'm seriously thinking of testing this soup out for the contest. I usually test 6 or 7 soups, fiddle with them till I'm happy and enter about 3 of them. Yes, I eat alot of soup. I have a freezer full come March.
The soup I made that won was a 3 bean soup. I know how ya'll love the beans.
Anyways, insomnia night. Thought I'd stop by and talk your ear off...or in this case type your eyes out. Have a good snooze!

Okay Peqi, time to rise and shine and get back in the saddle!!!!!

I liked your serious moment. People here are very special. Sorry I haven't been posting much this past week, but I'm still cheering you and everyone else on in my heart.

All right pinkydolly, where do you live that you've never tasted avocado or guacamole??????? Poor, deprived child. I think it's the state green food of Texas. That stuff is creamy, smooth, like buttah. Yes, very high in fat in calories, but it's good fat and a nice treat.

I'm off to run my 5k.

Hi Pequin! Thanks for stopping by my diary when I was sick! :) I hope you're doing great and enjoying your weekend. :)

Hello Peq,
Your doing so darn gr8 and your lucky
you had "A" rest day as for me a rest 2 days :( !
I will also be back in that saddle tomorrow to so good
luck to ya! Tomorrw a new day better day! Tammy

It's been a while since I've posted too.

About avadacados: I can't stand them. I'm surprised to see so many guac. fans in one place and nobody standing up for what a gross food it is! They entirely are one of those love it/hate it kind of foods. But hey, if I have to hate something, at least it's a higher calorie/fatty fruit like an avacado!

Congrats on doing so well Peq!

Goood Evening all - thanks for stopping by. The rest day yesterday carried over into today. Just couldn't talk myself into it. I figure that with the added yoga on thurs. & fri. it wasn't too bad. And if I keep the yoga up during the week then I can make sat. & sun. rest days officially.

It's really frustrating though because the mom unit is home and while she does work her ass of during the week and deserves the rest. And I respect that very much! ...she doesn't do anything. And when I suggest she and I go for a walk together - she just laughs or give me a pfffft!

But I don't want to be like that anymore. I want to be active, tired of being a homebody. It makes it harder to do that when everyone around you at home has a why bother attitude.

Guess that's my goal for this month - get out more & make a few friends!! Got a free movie ticket so I may treat myself one night this week - reaallly want to see Marie Antoinette. Want to join me? :D

O. M. G. that sounds delicious.

Way to go on getting out! It's hard to get active when those around you just aren't! My roommate is trying to lose weight too, but she's been doing the gym maybe once/twice a week, and I feel back when I march out every morning and evening to go work out. But I can't just cut back on my workouts to keep her from feeling lazy!

Enjoy the movie!

Hmmm... I wonder how many calories you burn shivering? I'm in my sweats, fuzzy slippers ;) (cause I'm a fuzzy slippers kind of gal) and a blanket! Can't seem to get warm. *shivers*
