Pequin Weight Journal

Thanks everyone!!! I hope the weight stays like that through Friday... probably not... but it would be sooo nice. *wistful look on face*

So can you smell that? That would be my Fake-out Cheesecake. I used fat free cream cheese & low fat eagle brand, very little butter in the crumb crust, low fat graham crackers and a big shot of espresso to give it some flavor. It's smells soo yummy! I wonder if anyone will notice... :D

Along with the cheesecake, tonight we're cooking 2 kinds of stuffing then tomorrow we're going to make a big pot of sinful Oyster Stew with real cream. *dies* I'm going to take a taste of that one and then keep my distance.

Breaking 300 came at the most apropos time, gives me motivation to keep my whits at the dinner table.

One question though... would it be better to get the walk in before the big meal to jump start the metabo.. or after to burn off some of it? Hmm... or both??

Hey you! Thanks for stopping by my diary!
Best of luck you and all the Yankees, from myself and all the Canucks. I specifically tackled my weight issue between Thanksgiving and Christmas cause I knew I wouldn't be able to handle a holiday meal!
Thank goodness it's Turkey, not chow mein that's tradition!

Just had a funny thought,
Hope that guy you're dating doesnt have a fetish for big girls , would be aweful dating a guy like that and then loosing the weight rotfl.

I used to be real paranoid about my husband when i first started out - but now its all good :)

I'd do both...a good, long, fat-burning walk before, and a nice, leisurely walk after to get rid of the fullness.:D

Congrats to you! Sounds like a great couple of days!!!

Evening All!! :D:D
Yeah I'm pretty happy with the way things are going right now but part of me is waiting for that other shoe to drop. Eh.. I guess you get back what you put out there so nothing but happy vibes, right?! :p:D:D

I'm at my whits end .. should I call Mr. Giggles, should I not  ... I didn't. I wanted to soo bad but I didn't want to look desperate. I sent him an email this morning when I got home, thanking him for a great night etc.. so he knows. Oy this dating shtuff is so complicated!

Aaanyway! Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Americans! I'm going to take DQs advice and do the two walks tomorrow. One in the morning like usual and then one after we get home, more relaxed.. maybe I can get my dad to come with. :D:D

So, I always try to think of at least five things that I'm thankful for each year and I figured I'd share them with all of you. :D

  1. I'm thankful for finding this forum, all you wonderful people who keep me going at this every day and all the new friends I've made over the past few months. I just can't say it enough, you guys are angels and you all rock!
  2. I'm thankful for my family, my home & all that truly makes them meaningful.
  3. I'm thankful for my health. This year has been a true roller coaster ride but right now I feel the best I have in years. And I know theres only more good things to come.
  4. I'm thankful for learning to let go & learning that sometimes things just aren't meant to be, that it isn't the end of the world, just a new beginning. And each day is a new opportunity do do something strong.
  5. I'm thankful for my country & those fighting to keep it safe place to live.
  6. Oh!! and I'm thankful for low fat cheesecake. :D

Congrats to you! Sounds like a great couple of days!!!

I plan to do this too...especially considering my neighbor's successful attempt at sabotaging my diet tonight. I had planned to do it anyway but now i HAVE too. I'm planning to wake up in the morning and go to the gym, then go for my walk, and then hit the gym afterward dinner (because I'm too scared to walk outside by myself that close to dark) and work off the damage. I REFUSE to have that stupid scale go up!!!

I love that list pequin, especially number six. LOL I think I'm going to steal this idea if you don't mind. :D

Steal away!! :D:D

Woo retagged!! Yay!! (First round was back on page 98 :D)

  1. I was diagnosed with school phobia/anxiety when I was 15. They used to threaten me with time in the children's psych ward to scare me into going to school. A few sessions with the psychiatrist revealed that that wasn't the case and I was finally diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by a specialist in Indianapolis.
  2. I used to flush my Prozac down the toilet every morning because I thought I didn't need them.
  3. I had my first kiss when I was 20 and I was a virgin until age 21.
  4. I like to sleep under at least 3 quilts, even in the summer.
  5. I crave hot chocolate in the summer and ice cream in the winter.
